Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a net holder for a play net, for example a table tennis net. The invention also relates to a net fitting.

The invention is based on the object of specifying a new type of net holder for a play net and a new type of net set.

The object is achieved according to the invention by a net holder with the features of claim 1 and by a net fitting with the features of claim 9.

Figures 1 to 4 show schematic views of a net holder 1 for a game net 23, for example a table tennis net. The net holder 1 comprises a body 2, an inner post 3 and an adjuster 4.

The body 2, the inner post 3 and the adjuster 4 can be produced, for example, by means of injection moulding, for example from plastic. In particular, the net holder 1 can be formed exclusively from injection molded parts, in particular from plastic.

The at least essentially L-shaped body 2 comprises an outer post 5 which, in a position of use shown in the figures, is aligned vertically or essentially vertically. Furthermore, the body 2 includes a with a lower end of the outer post 5 connected traverse 6, which includes an angle of about 90 ° with the outer post 5, for example, and is therefore aligned horizontally or substantially horizontally in the position of use.

The outer post 5 is designed as a hollow box profile with open ends and a slot-shaped net bushing 7 running in a longitudinal direction of the outer post 5, i.e. perpendicularly, which points, for example, in the same direction as the traverse 6. The hollow box profile of the outer post 5 is, apart from that from the network bushing 7 and the ends, in particular closed. The traverse 6 is also designed as a hollow box profile which can be open downwards, ie pointing away from the outer post 5 . This allows the net holder 1 to be attached to a game table, for example a table tennis table, for example by means of a screw guided through the attachment opening 10 . The fastening opening 10 can be designed, for example, as an elongated hole, the longitudinal axis of which can be parallel or essentially parallel to the outer post 5 . In one embodiment, the elongated hole can reach the lower end of the wall 9, ie it can be open at the bottom.

Inside the traverse 6 one or more stiffening ribs 8 can be provided which, for example, run transversely to the longitudinal direction of the traverse 6 or can be arranged in some other way.

A connection area 11 opposite the wall 9, in which the outer post 5 and the cross-piece 6 are connected to one another, can be formed obliquely outwards instead of being perpendicular.

The outer post 5 is designed to accommodate the inner post 3 . For this purpose, the hollow box profile of the outer post 5 has, for example, a non-circular cross section in order to prevent the inner post 3 from twisting in the outer post 5 . For example, the cross section of the hollow box profile of the outer post 5 is flattened towards the net bushing 7 and is otherwise curved.

The body 2 is in particular formed in one piece.

The inner post 3 has a net fastening area 19, the cross-sectional shape of which has play in relation to the cross-sectional shape of the hollow box profile of the outer post 5, in order to enable a net loop 24 of a play net 23 to be wrapped around the net attachment area 19 when the play net 23 is guided through the net bushing 7. The net attachment area 19 is closed off at the top and bottom with a guide area 20, 21, which has a shape that is essentially complementary to the cross section of the hollow box profile of the outer post 5, possibly with some play. One or two tongues 22 can be arranged on the upper guide area 20 pointing in the direction of the lower guide area 21, for example in such a way that the shape that is essentially complementary to the cross section of the hollow box profile of the outer post 5 extends through the tongues 22 downwards, i.e. towards the lower guide area 21 , at least partially continued. The tongues 22 are, for example, between 4.5 cm and 6.5 cm, in particular about 5.5 cm long. A gap remains between each tongue 22 and the net attachment area 19 is large enough for the mesh loop 24 to pass through, for example at least 1 mm to 3 mm.

The tongues 22 also limit twisting of the inner post 3 relative to the outer post 5 when a play net 23 is attached to the inner post 3 and passed through the net bushing 7 . The cross-sectional shape of the hollow box profile of the outer post 5 and the guide areas 20, 21 of the inner post 3 could therefore also be circular without impairing the function.

Below the lower guide area 21, the inner post 3 has a spindle 12 with a thread. The length of the spindle 12 can, for example, be between 4.5 cm and 6.5 cm, in particular approximately 5.5 cm. At the upper end, the inner post 3 has a slit-shaped guide 13 for a tension cord 25 of the play net 23, which is aligned parallel or substantially parallel to the traverse 6. A fork 14 can be provided on a rear side of the outer post 5 opposite the net bushing 7 , which allows a ball chain 26 attached to the tensioning cord 25 to be hung in order to tighten the play net 23 . The back of the outer post 5 can also be provided with a notch 15 for guiding the tension cord 25 and/or the ball chain 26, which runs in the longitudinal direction of the outer post 5.

The phaser 4 is formed as a sleeve with internal threads configured to engage the threads of the spindle 12 . Adjuster 4 can be closed at a lower end. Furthermore, an area with knurling 16 can be provided at the lower end of the adjuster 4 in order to facilitate the actuation of the adjuster 4 . Furthermore, this area can have a larger diameter than the rest of the sleeve for this purpose.

Near an upper end of the adjuster 4, the sleeve has a circumferential groove 17 configured to engage with a protrusion 18 located in the region of the lower end of the outer post 5. As a result, the adjuster 4 is fixed in its position in the longitudinal direction of the outer post 5, but is free to rotate. A length of the adjuster 4 in relation to the body 2 is selected in particular such that the lower end of the adjuster 4, in particular the knurling 16, protrudes from the bottom of the body 2 and can therefore be actuated easily. The length of the adjuster 4 can be, for example, between 4.5 cm and 6.5 cm, in particular approximately 5.5 cm. The projection 18 can be formed in the connection area 11 as a circular arc-shaped, in particular at most semicircular, peripheral rib, in particular on the inside on the rear side of the outer post 5.

The height of the inner post 3 relative to the outer post 5 is adjusted by turning the adjuster 4 . In this way, the height of a play net 23 attached to the inner post 3 can be adjusted.

To assemble the net holder 1 with a play net 23, the adjuster 4 is first inserted in the longitudinal direction of the outer post 5 through the hollow box profile of the traverse 6, which is open at the bottom, in the connection area 11, for example until the adjuster 4 strikes an upper wall of the traverse 6. In this position, the groove 17 is aligned with the projection 18 in the longitudinal direction of the outer jamb 5 and can be engaged therewith by sliding in a direction away from the wall 9. A radial stop (not shown) can be provided below the projection 18 in the connection area 11 on the inside at the rear of the outer post 5 in order to support the adjuster 4 .

The inner post 3 is pushed with the spindle 12 first into the net loop 24 of the play net 23 until the net loop 24 lies between the upper and the lower guide area 20, 21, with the tongues 22 being guided over the net loop 24.

The inner post 3 with the play net 23 is now pushed into the outer post 5 from above with the spindle 12 first, the play net 23 being passed through the net bushing 7 . Once the spindle 12 reaches the phaser 4, the latter is rotated to bring the spindle 12 into engagement with the internal threads in the phaser 4. Once engaged, the phaser 4 is fixed coaxially with the spindle 12 . Since the spindle 12 is fixed in its position in the outer post 5 by the complementary shapes of the guide areas 20, 21 and the outer post 5, the groove 17 of the adjuster 4 can no longer disengage radially from the projection 18 as soon as the spindle 12 with the internal thread in the Adjuster 4 is engaged. Thus, by turning the adjuster 4, the position of the inner post 3 in the longitudinal direction relative to the outer post 5, and thus the height of the net above the gaming table, can be adjusted.

Then the tension cord 25 of the play net 23 can be pulled down over the guide 13 and on the back of the outer post 5 . A bead chain 26 attached to the tension cord 25 can be hooked into the fork 14 in order to tighten the play net 23 .
