Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device for loading insert sheets for inserting between stacks of poses in a reception area of a station for receiving the poses.
  • the present invention also relates to a station receiving station, a machine for processing sheet-like elements and a method of transporting an insert sheet in a reception area of a station receiving station.
  • the separation of the poses consists, after shaping and complete ejection of the waste, to break the attachment points between the poses of a sheet by means of a male upper tool and a female lower tool mounted vertically one above the other in the leaf receiving area.
  • the upper tool consists of pushing elements slightly smaller than the perimeter of the poses.
  • the lower tool consists of a grid whose mesh shape generally corresponds to the perimeter of the poses. The poses fall through these meshes and stack in vertical stacks in the reception area.
  • Inserting involves placing an insert sheet, such as a full sheet, between stacks of poses. So that this inserting can be carried out without requiring a concomitant shutdown of the production unit, a device commonly known as a non-stop reception grid is used.
  • an insert sheet is grabbed from a stack of insert sheets arranged near the reception area.
  • the insert sheet is then dropped onto the non-stop pose reception grid.
  • the non-stop receiving grid carrying the insert sheet then moves under the lower blanking tool.
  • the non-stop receiving grid returns over the stack of insert sheets to receive a new sheet. Leaving the reception area, the grid crosses the teeth of a comb which has pivoted into the retaining position to retain the insert sheet and thus the poses stacked on this insert sheet, in the reception area.
  • the non-stop reception grid thus allows the deposit of an insert sheet between the stacks of poses and the support of the poses during the evacuation of the stacks of complete poses without stopping production.
  • the document DE 195 16 023 A1 describes an inserting device which lifts an insert sheet on a stack using a pivoting arm fitted with a suction cup and then deposits it on an inserting grid when the latter leaves the zone for receiving the poses .
  • the suction cup device is then moved aside in order to allow the grid to rise, then to be inserted in the zone for receiving the poses.
  • the grid then lowers at a speed that corresponds to the rate of production of the poses. When the grid reaches a low position, it leaves the zone for receiving the blanks to receive a new insert sheet.
  • the insert sheet remains in the poses reception zone thanks to a vertical grid which retains it.
  • the document does not specify how the insert sheet is fixed and detached from the insert grid, nor how its position on the grid is adjusted.
  • the displacement of the grid or the tray carrying the insert sheet towards the reception area must be carried out quickly to insert the insert sheet as quickly as possible between the last deposited pose on the top of the stack and the next.
  • the relatively large stroke to be carried out and the high production rates which may require, for the grid or the tray, displacement speeds of the order of 1 m / sec, keeping the insert sheet in position. turns out to be tricky.
  • the accelerations and decelerations may be too sudden to properly entrain the insert sheet. It may happen that when it arrives in the reception area, the insert sheet is offset or skewed and thus finds itself badly positioned between the stack poses.
  • One of the aims of the present invention is to propose an improved device for loading inset sheets making it possible to ensure the correct positioning of the inset sheet during its transport in the reception area.
  • the subject of the present invention is a device for loading insertsheets comprising a movable carriage for inserting insertsheets in a reception area of a poses reception station, the movable carriage comprising a plurality of longitudinal bars, characterized in that at least one longitudinal bar has a suction channel opening out through at least one suction orifice on the face of the longitudinal bar intended to receive an insert sheet, the channel d the suction being configured to be connected to a vacuum source for holding by suction the insert sheet transported by the mobile carriage.
  • the insert sheet is thus well maintained in position on the mobile carriage for its transport to the reception area, despite the accelerations and decelerations of the mobile carriage.

The present invention relates to a device for loading insert sheets for inserting between stacks of poses in a reception area of a station for receiving the poses. The present invention also relates to a station receiving station, a machine for processing sheet-like elements and a method of transporting an insert sheet in a reception area of a station receiving station.

In the receiving stations, the separation of the poses consists, after shaping and complete ejection of the waste, to break the attachment points between the poses of a sheet by means of a male upper tool and a female lower tool mounted vertically one above the other in the leaf receiving area. The upper tool consists of pushing elements slightly smaller than the perimeter of the poses. The lower tool consists of a grid whose mesh shape generally corresponds to the perimeter of the poses. The poses fall through these meshes and stack in vertical stacks in the reception area.

To form stacks of separate and stable poses under these tools, on the pallet for receiving the station, periodic insertion of a stabilization sheet is necessary. Inserting involves placing an insert sheet, such as a full sheet, between stacks of poses. So that this inserting can be carried out without requiring a concomitant shutdown of the production unit, a device commonly known as a non-stop reception grid is used.

To carry out an inserting maneuver, an insert sheet is grabbed from a stack of insert sheets arranged near the reception area. The insert sheet is then dropped onto the non-stop pose reception grid. The non-stop receiving grid carrying the insert sheet then moves under the lower blanking tool. Then, the non-stop receiving grid returns over the stack of insert sheets to receive a new sheet. Leaving the reception area, the grid crosses the teeth of a comb which has pivoted into the retaining position to retain the insert sheet and thus the poses stacked on this insert sheet, in the reception area. The non-stop reception grid thus allows the deposit of an insert sheet between the stacks of poses and the support of the poses during the evacuation of the stacks of complete poses without stopping production.

There is also known a loading device provided with a movable plate for carrying out only the inserting operations, the support of the poses during the evacuation of the batteries without stopping the production being carried out by other means.

The document DE 195 16 023 A1 describes an inserting device which lifts an insert sheet on a stack using a pivoting arm fitted with a suction cup and then deposits it on an inserting grid when the latter leaves the zone for receiving the poses . The suction cup device is then moved aside in order to allow the grid to rise, then to be inserted in the zone for receiving the poses. The grid then lowers at a speed that corresponds to the rate of production of the poses. When the grid reaches a low position, it leaves the zone for receiving the blanks to receive a new insert sheet. The insert sheet remains in the poses reception zone thanks to a vertical grid which retains it. The document does not specify how the insert sheet is fixed and detached from the insert grid, nor how its position on the grid is adjusted.

In order not to lower the quantity of poses produced, the displacement of the grid or the tray carrying the insert sheet towards the reception area must be carried out quickly to insert the insert sheet as quickly as possible between the last deposited pose on the top of the stack and the next. Given the relatively large stroke to be carried out and the high production rates which may require, for the grid or the tray, displacement speeds of the order of 1 m / sec, keeping the insert sheet in position. turns out to be tricky. In particular, the accelerations and decelerations may be too sudden to properly entrain the insert sheet. It may happen that when it arrives in the reception area, the insert sheet is offset or skewed and thus finds itself badly positioned between the stack poses.

One of the aims of the present invention is to propose an improved device for loading inset sheets making it possible to ensure the correct positioning of the inset sheet during its transport in the reception area.

To this end, the subject of the present invention is a device for loading insertsheets comprising a movable carriage for inserting insertsheets in a reception area of a poses reception station, the movable carriage comprising a plurality of longitudinal bars, characterized in that at least one longitudinal bar has a suction channel opening out through at least one suction orifice on the face of the longitudinal bar intended to receive an insert sheet, the channel d the suction being configured to be connected to a vacuum source for holding by suction the insert sheet transported by the mobile carriage.

Le plan horizontal correspond au plan (L, T).We designate the longitudinal, vertical and transverse directions indicated on the figure 2 by the trihedron (L, V, T). The transverse direction T is the direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of movement D of a sheet, as illustrated by the arrow D on the figures 1 and 2 . The horizontal plane corresponds to the (L, T) plane.

The terms upstream and downstream are defined with reference to the longitudinal direction of movement D. The sheets move from upstream to downstream, generally following the main longitudinal axis of the machine, in a movement clocked by periodic stops.

The terms “flat elements” and “sheets” will be considered equivalent, and will relate to elements composed of corrugated cardboard as well as flat cardboard, paper or any other material commonly used in the packaging industry. It is understood that throughout this text, the terms "sheet" or "element in sheets" or "element in the form of leaves" very generally designate any print medium in the form of leaves such as, for example , sheets of cardboard, paper, plastic, etc.

The figure 1 shows an example of processing machine 1 for processing sheets. This processing machine 1 is conventionally composed of several work stations which are juxtaposed but interdependent one by one to form a unitary assembly. There is thus an introduction station 100, a margin table 200, a processing station 300 for cutting the sheets, such as comprising a plate press 301, a waste ejection station 400, a station for receiving the poses 500 where the transformed sheets are repackaged in a pile and the cut sheet waste is disposed of.

The transformation operation of each sheet takes place in the transformation station 300, for example between a fixed plate and a lower movable plate of the press 301 for cutting the sheets according to a matrix corresponding to the developed shape which is wishes to obtain, for example in order to obtain a plurality of boxes of a given shape. The movable stage rises and falls successively once during each machine cycle.

A transport device 70 is also provided for individually moving each sheet from the output of the margin table 200 to the station receiving station 500, passing through the transformer station 300 by press.

The transport device 70 comprises a plurality of transverse bars provided with grippers, commonly called gripper bars 75 which each come in their turn to grab a sheet at its front edge, before drawing it successively in the various stations of the stations 300, 400, 500 of machine 1.

The ends of the clamp bars 75 are each connected respectively to a side chain forming a loop, commonly called chain train 80. Two chain trains 80 are thus arranged laterally on each side of the clamp bars 75.

Thanks to a movement transmitted to the chains of chains 80, the set of gripper bars 75 will start from a stopped position, accelerate, reach a maximum speed decelerate, then stop, thus describing a cycle corresponding to the movement of a sheet from one workstation to the next workstation. The chain trains 80 move and stop periodically so that, during each movement, all the gripper bars 75 engaged with a sheet are passed from one station to the adjacent downstream work station. Each station performs its work in synchronism with this cycle which is commonly called machine cycle. The workstations are in the initial position to start a new job at the start of each machine cycle.

The number and nature of the processing stations in a processing machine 1 can vary depending on the nature and the complexity of the operations to be performed on the sheets. In the context of the invention, the concept of processing machine thus covers a very large number of embodiments due to the modular structure of these assemblies. Depending on the number, nature and arrangement of the workstations used, it is indeed possible to obtain a multitude of different processing machines. It is also important to underline that there are other types of work stations than those mentioned, such as embossing, upsetting stations or such as stations for loading stripes for stamping for stamping machine or foil stamping machine. hot foil stamping in which one carries out between the platens of a press, the deposit on each sheet, of patterns from a film from one or more bands to be stamped. Finally, it is understood that the same processing machine may very well be equipped with several stations of the same type.

In the poses reception station 500, after shaping in the transformation station 300 and ejection of the waste in the waste ejection station 400, the points of attachment between the poses of a sheet are broken by means of a male upper tool and a female lower tool mounted vertically one above the other in a receiving zone 2 shown in the figure 2 .

The upper tool consists of pushing elements slightly smaller than the perimeter of the poses. The lower tool 3 is formed of a grid, the mesh shape of which generally corresponds to the periphery of the poses. In the example, the lower tool 3 comprises longitudinal and transverse bars forming a grid with square meshes. The poses fall through the meshes of this grid and stack in vertical stacks in the reception zone 2 on a reception pallet 4 carried by a frame 501 of the station 500, vertically movable.

The poses reception station 500 includes a device 10 for loading inset sheets, fixed to the frame of the machine 1. Insetting consists in placing an inset sheet, such as a full sheet, between stacks of poses in the reception area 2.

The loading device 10 comprises a container 11 for reserving insert sheets, a mobile carriage 12, a device 13 for gripping insert sheets and a pivoting retaining comb 14.

The tray 11 includes a housing 9 intended to receive a stack of insert sheets. The container 11 is movable in translation in the transverse direction T so that it can be recharged by an operator through a window of the frame 16 of the loading device 10, from one side of the loading device 10. The container 11 can be mounted on two slides 15 and include a handle, such as a drawer.

The movable carriage 12 is movable in translation in the longitudinal direction of movement of the sheets D between a retracted position above the container 11 to receive an insert sheet ( figure 3 ) and an extended position for inserting the insert sheet into the receiving area 2 ( figure 2 ).

As we can see on the figure 5 , the mobile carriage 12 comprises at least one cross 26 and a plurality of longitudinal bars 27a, 27b fixed and carried by the cross 26. The mobile carriage 12 comprises for example a number of longitudinal bars 27a, 27b between 6 and 25, the number being adapted to the format of the insert sheets.

The lateral ends of the cross member 26 are for example provided with rotary rollers 28 cooperating with longitudinal slides 17 carried by the frame 16. The movable carriage 12 comprises for example six rotary rollers 28 at each end of the cross member 26 (five rotary around '' a transverse axis for longitudinal guidance and a rotary around a vertical axis for lateral guidance). The translational carriage of the mobile carriage 12 can be provided by two chains 18 or belt (s) or rack (s), driven for example by a motor (not visible), controlled by a control unit 7 of the processing machine 1, for programming an insert when the stack of poses reaches the desired height. The chains 18 are connected by a respective fixing element 29 carried by a respective end of the crosspiece 26.

The retaining comb 14 has teeth regularly spaced in the transverse direction. The comb 14 is pivotally mounted around a transverse axis interposed between the tray 11 and the reception area 2 of the poses. The comb 14 is pivotable between a retaining position in which the teeth of the comb 14 pass between the longitudinal bars 27a, 27b of the movable carriage 12 and a released position in which the teeth of the comb 14 are retracted.

The input device 13 for insert sheets is arranged above the movable carriage 12 in the retracted position ( figure 3 ). The gripping device 13 is configured to lift an insert sheet in the insert sheet reserve tray 11 and to deposit the lifted insert sheet on the mobile carriage 12.

It comprises a suction element 20 configured to grip an insert sheet and a support 21 mounted on the frame 16 to move the suction element 20 between a low position towards the stack of insert sheets and a high position away from the stack of inset sheets. The support 21 can be mounted in longitudinal sliding on the frame 16 to adapt the longitudinal positioning of the entry area to the format of the insert sheets.

The suction element 20 is connected to a vacuum source, such as a vacuum pump or a Venturi device, for example by means of hoses. According to an exemplary embodiment, the suction element 20 comprises a transverse suction bar provided with pivoting suction cups 23.

At least one longitudinal bar 27a of the movable carriage 12 has a suction channel 35 opening out through at least one suction orifice 30 on the face of the longitudinal bar 27a intended to receive an insert sheet, that is to say say the upper face when the movable carriage 12 is mounted in the pose receiving station 500.

The suction channel 35 is configured to be connected to a vacuum source 31 for holding by suction the insert sheet transported by the movable carriage 12. The insert sheet can thus be held in position on the movable carriage 12 for its transport to the reception area 2, despite the rapid speed of movement of the mobile carriage 12.

For example, the movable carriage 12 comprises at least two longitudinal bars 27a each having a suction channel 35 opening out through at least one suction orifice 30. The insert sheet can thus be kept at a minimum at two points, which makes it possible to avoid the angular offset of the insert sheet, in particular for small sheets.

Provision is made, for example, for the same longitudinal bar 27a to have a plurality of regularly spaced suction ports 30, for example six.

The suction ports 30 can be arranged in a central area of the movable carriage 12, so that they are covered by the insert sheet for all sheet formats. This prevents the suction ports 30 from sucking in vacuum, which could prevent the other suction ports 30 from functioning properly.

For example, two first longitudinal bars 27a are at least spaced from a second longitudinal bar 27b. The first two longitudinal bars 27a are for example spaced from three second longitudinal bars 27b. The first longitudinal bars 27a are for example identical to arrange symmetrically the suction orifices 30 of the different longitudinal bars 27a.

The vacuum source 31, such as a vacuum pump or a Venturi device, is connected to the mobile carriage 12, for example by means of hoses make it possible to adapt the length of the pipes to the position of the mobile carriage 12. The source of vacuum 31 is controlled by the control unit 7 to establish a low suction pressure in the suction ports 30 or to stop the suction in the latter.

In the example, the vacuum source 31 is a Venturi device fixed under the movable carriage 12 ( figure 5 ). A flexible pipe (not shown) has a first end connected to the vacuum source 31 and a second end connected to an air supply. The flexible pipe therefore has an end fixed to the frame 16 and a movable end, moving with the back and forth of the carriage 12.

According to an exemplary embodiment, the longitudinal bars 27a having at least one suction orifice 30 are hollow profiles, such as a tube with rectangular (or square) section and the interior of which forms the suction channel 35.

The suction channels 35 of the longitudinal bars 27a can be connected to the crosspiece 26 of the movable carriage 12, also provided hollow. The vacuum source 31 can then be connected to one end of the cross-member 26. The mobile carriage 12 thus acts as a fluid line for conveying the low suction pressure to the various suction orifices 30.

The at least one suction channel 35 can also be configured to be connected to a gas source, such as an air source, for blowing through the at least one suction port 30 in order to facilitate the release of the insert sheet once it has arrived at its destination in reception area 2.

According to an exemplary embodiment visible in the sectional view of the figure 6 , the crosspiece 26 comprises a base 26a and a closure plate 26b, closing the base 26a. A transverse channel 26c is formed in the base 26a and opens at a lateral end of the crosspiece 26 to which the vacuum source 31 (and the gas source if applicable) can be connected (the end located on the left on the figure 5 ). At least one hole is made in the closing plate 26b, the hole communicating with the suction channel 35 of the longitudinal bars 27a.

Le premier étage 30a débouche sur la face de la barre longitudinale 27a destinée à recevoir la feuille d'encart et le deuxième étage 30b débouche dans le canal d'aspiration 35 (figure 7).According to an exemplary embodiment, the suction orifice 30 has a stepped shape ( figure 6 ) with at least a first stage 30a having a first suction section and a second stage 30b having a second suction section smaller than the first suction section. The first stage 30a opens onto the face of the longitudinal bar 27a intended to receive the insert sheet and the second stage 30b opens into the suction channel 35 ( figure 7 ).

The larger suction section of the first stage 30a makes it possible to distribute the suction force under the surface of the insert sheet with a large gripping surface, which is useful for particularly rigid sheets. The smaller suction section of the second stage 30a makes it possible to grasp a sheet of flexible insert without deforming it.

Furthermore, since the suction flow is limited to the small suction section of the second stage 30b, the other suction ports 30 are allowed to operate, even if a suction port 30 does not come to be covered by the insert sheet.

The suction sections of the first and second stages 30a, 30b have for example concentric circular shapes. A two-stage orifice formed by two cylindrical holes of different diameters is particularly simple to produce and makes it possible to obtain the desired effect with a small thickness, such as a sheet thickness, of the order of 2 mm.

The ratio between the suction sections is for example between 2 and 50. In the case of circular suction sections, the diameter of the suction section of the second stage 30b can be between 3 and 9mm, such as the order of 6mm and the diameter of the suction section of the first stage 30a can be between 14 and 20mm, such as of the order of 17mm.

The rotary roller 33 is urged elastically against the movable carriage 12 to roll on the insert sheet when the movable carriage 12 moves towards the receiving zone 2. The rotary roller 33 thus makes it possible to support the sheet of insert carried by the movable carriage 12 against the suction orifices 30 to facilitate its retention, which is particularly useful for thick and rigid insert sheets, such as those made of cardboard.

On prévoit par exemple autant de galets rotatifs 33 que de barres longitudinales 27a présentant des orifices d'aspiration 30.More precisely, the rotary roller 33 can be configured to roll on the insert sheet along a longitudinal bar 27a having at least one suction orifice 30. For example, as many rotary rollers 33 are provided as there are longitudinal bars 27a having suction ports 30.

The element on which the rotary roller 33 is mounted comprises for example an elastic blade 34 at a first end of which the rotary roller 33 is mounted. The second end of the elastic blade 34 is for example fixed to the support 21 of the gripping device 13 for insert sheets so that the rotary rollers 33 are located above the longitudinal bars 27a and can come to exert pressure on the sheet d 'insert.

We will now describe the method of transporting an insert sheet in the reception area 2 by considering as the starting position the out position of the mobile carriage 12 in the reception area 2, away from the tray 11 ( figure 2 ). The suction element 20 is in the high position.

La feuille d'encart est ensuite lâchée sur le chariot mobile 12 de retour de la zone de réception 2 en position rentrée (figure 3) et recouvre les orifices d'aspiration 30.The suction element 20 is moved to the low position to grasp and lift an insert sheet in the housing 9 of the container 11. The insert sheet is then released on the mobile carriage 12 returning from the reception area 2 in the retracted position ( figure 3 ) and covers the suction ports 30.

The control unit 7 controls a low suction pressure in the suction orifices 30 to fix the insert sheet to the mobile carriage 12 and controls the movement of the mobile carriage 12 towards the reception zone 2.

At the start of the mobile carriage 12, the rotary rollers 33 roll on the insert sheet along the longitudinal bars 27, pressing the insert sheet against the suction orifices 30.

The insert sheet is thus held in position for its transport to the reception zone 2, despite the accelerations and decelerations of the mobile carriage 12.

When the mobile carriage 12 arrives under the lower tool for separating the blanks, the control unit 7 stops the low suction pressure in the suction ports 30. The insert sheet is then no longer detention.

Air can be blown through the at least one suction port 30 of the mobile carriage 12 to more easily detach the insert sheet from the mobile carriage 12 once the mobile carriage 12 has arrived in the receiving zone 2 and the bottom suction pressure stopped.

The movable carriage 12 then returns to the top of the stack of insert sheets to receive a new sheet. Leaving the reception area 2, the mobile carriage 12 crosses the teeth of the retaining comb 14 which has pivoted into the retaining position ( figure 2 ) to retain the insert sheet on which a new pile can be deposited. The insert sheet thus well positioned on the movable carriage 12 can therefore be well positioned between the poses of the stack.

In this embodiment, the mobile carriage 12 also acts as a non-stop reception grid for the poses. It supports the poses deposited on the insert sheet during the evacuation of the receiving pallet 4 carrying the complete stacks of poses out of the receiving station and the insertion of a new empty receiving pallet 4, without production stopped.

According to another embodiment visible on the figure 8 , the movable carriage 12 ′ comprises a plate 40 arranged under the longitudinal bars 27a, 27b and fixed to the latter.

Les canaux d'aspiration 35 des barres longitudinales 27a peuvent être raccordés à un conduit ménagé dans le plateau 40 en remplacement de la traverse 26.The suction channels 35 of the longitudinal bars 27a can be connected to a duct formed in the plate 40 to replace the crosspiece 26.

The carriage 12 'is movable between a retracted position for receiving an insert sheet and an extended position for depositing the insert sheet in the reception zone 2 between the stacks of poses. The moving carriage 12 'can be driven in translation by two chains 18 or belt (s) or rack (s) driven by an actuator, such as a pneumatic linear cylinder (not visible), controlled by the control 7 of the processing machine 1, to program an insert when the stack of poses reaches the desired height.

However, in this second embodiment, the support of the poses during the evacuation of the stacks of poses without stopping the production is carried out by a grid for receiving non-stop poses 41 separate, located above the movable carriage 12 '.

The non-stop reception grid for the poses 41 comprises a plurality of longitudinal bars. It is movable in the longitudinal direction L between a retracted position in which it is located above the gripping device 13 and an extended position in the reception zone 2 of the pose reception station 500 for receiving the poses during the evacuation of the receiving pallet 4. The non-stop reception grid for the poses 41 is also vertically movable by motorized drive to adapt to the level accumulation of the poses on the plate 40. The non-stop reception grid for the poses 41 does not provide the inserting function.

It should also be noted that the invention is not limited to a pose reception station 500 in which the attachment points between the poses are separate but can be applied to a pose reception station receiving stacks of full sheets.
