Ein erfindungsgemäßes Schlitzwandgerät 10 gemäß Fig. 1 ist als eine Schlitzwandfräse mit einem Grundrahmen 12 ausgebildet, an dessen unterem Ende zwei Paare von Fräsrädern 22 als eine Bodenabtragseinrichtung 20 angebracht sind. Somit kann durch Einfahren der Andruckzylinder 32 eine Andruckkraft auf den Grundrahmen 12 und die an der Unterseite des Grundrahmens 12 angebrachte Bodenabtragseinrichtung 20 aufgebracht werden. Gleichzeitig kann der Grundrahmen 12 gegenüber der verspannten Spanneinrichtung 50 und dem Grundschlitten 62 nach unten verfahren werden. Somit addiert sich bei der erfindungsgemäßen Anordnung die von den Andruckzylindern 32 aufgebrachte Andruckkraft zu der Gewichtskraft des Grundrahmens 12, die weiterhin an der Bodenabtragseinrichtung 20 ansteht.     - a base frame (12);

    - a clamping means (50) with at least two clamping elements (52) lying on opposite sides and laterally displaceable, and at least one actuating cylinder (54), through which the clamping elements (52) can be extended laterally against a wall of the trench in order to clamp at least one part of the trench wall apparatus (10) in the trench, and
    - a pressing means (30) by which a pressing force can be applied to the at least one soil excavation means (20),
    - wherein the clamping means (50) with the at least two plate-like clamping elements (52) and the at least one clamping cylinder (54) are positioned on an intermediate frame (60), which is mounted along the base frame (12) to a box-like mounting section (16) such that it can be displaced, and
    - wherein the pressing means (30) is positioned between the intermediate frame (60) and the base frame (12) and has several pressing cylinders (32),
    characterized in that
    the pressing cylinders (32) are arranged in a titled way toward the vertical, whereby the base frame (12) with the soil excavation means (20) can be pressed downward relative to the clamped intermediate frame (60) when actuating the pressing cylinders (32), and
    that each titled pressing cylinder (32) is articulated to the base frame (12) on the one hand and to one of the plate-shaped clamping elements (52) on the other hand.

    - by means of at least one soil excavation means (20), which is positioned at a bottom section of the base frame (12), soil being excavated while forming the trench,
    - by means of one clamping means (50) at least two clamping elements (52) lying on opposite sides are extended laterally against a wall of the trench by at least one actuating cylinder (54), whereby at least one part of the trench wall apparatus (10) is clamped in the trench, and
    - by means of a pressing means (30) a pressing force is applied to the at least one soil excavation means (20),
    - wherein the clamping means (50) with the at least two plate-like clamping elements (52) and the at least one clamping cylinder (54) are positioned on an intermediate frame (60), which is mounted along the base frame (12) to a box-like mounting section (16) such that it can be displaced,
    - wherein the intermediate frame (60) is clamped and is fixed in regard to the soil by the clamping means (50), and
    - wherein the base frame (12) with the soil excavation means (20) is pressed at the bottom section downward by means of the pressing means (30) having several pressing cylinders (32),
    characterized in that
    the pressing cylinders (32) are arranged in a titled way toward the vertical, whereby the base frame (12) with the soil excavation means (20) is pressed downward relative to the clamped intermediate frame (60) when actuating the pressing cylinders (32), and
    that each titled pressing cylinder (32) is articulated to the base frame (12) on the one hand and to one of the plate-shaped clamping elements (52) on the other hand.
