  • the radiating element In order for the vibro-acoustic system constituted by the vibration generating element and the radiating element to be effective, it is important that the radiating element can vibrate freely according to its own modes, which are mainly defined by its fixing system. The invention also relates to a musical timepiece comprising a ringing or melody play mechanism arranged to make at least one timbre or keyboard resonate attached to a said structure or to a resonator component of a box.

The invention relates to the field of striking or musical timepieces, such as minute repeater watches, watches with alarm clock, music boxes, and the like.

In striking or melody timepieces, in particular minute repeater watches, vibro-acoustic improvements relate mainly to elements of the casing making it possible to increase the acoustic level of the striking, but also to the elements of regulation, to limit the noise of the mechanism when the ringing is triggered and thus increase the emergence of the sound produced by the ringing, by increasing the ratio between the acoustic level of the ringing and that of the noise of the mechanism.

At the level of the covering, radiant glass or separate glasses make it possible to optimize the vibratory response of the covering over a wide frequency band and thus to increase the acoustic level generated by its radiation. So that the elements can have a strong radiating power on a broad frequency band, it is necessary that these last are likely to vibrate freely and this independently of the excitation frequency which they undergo.

The vibrational amplitude of the covering, for its part, depends on a good frequency tuning between the excitation frequency and those of the covering but also on the good solidien transfer between the vibration generating element, such as a stamp or similar, and a radiating element such as a lens-glass assembly or a background. It is therefore necessary that the vibrations propagate easily without being attenuated by intermediate elements between the vibration generating element and the element intended to radiate, nor by seals necessary for sealing the part, which can prevent the radiating elements. to vibrate freely.

The document CH 698 742 B1 in the name of RICHEMONT describes a device for connecting a bell to the crystal of a timepiece. The stamp is secured to a heel fixed by screws on part of the movement. This screw extends beyond the dial and is supported by its end face on the underside of an annular segment of an annular elastic piece secured to the crystal. This annular elastic piece has at most four annular segments, each having, in section, a rectilinear shape. The outer edge of the elastic annular piece is intended to be clamped between a bezel and a middle part of the timepiece using a seal: The part of the annular elastic piece that is not under the glass is housed entirely under the bezel.

The document EP 2 328 044 A1 in the name of ROLEX describes a watch case comprising a middle part of which at least one opening is closed by a bezel and / or a crystal, or by a back. At least one of the closure elements of the opening is connected to the middle part by an elastic metal member in the form of an endless ring or frame and of hollowed-out cross section defined by the profile of a non-rectilinear wall, the ends of which are integral with the periphery of this closure element, respectively of the middle part. The profile of this non-rectilinear wall forms at least one annular fold of orientation parallel to the plane of the opening, this fold being generated by a curvature whose arc describes an angle between 90 ° and 180 °, to give the 'closing element freedom of movement relative to the plane of the opening.

Description détaillée des modes de réalisation préférésDetailed description of preferred embodiments

The invention proposes to produce a timepiece comprising sound emission means enclosed in a box, and means for radiating the sound vibration towards the user, using certain elements of the covering of the piece. watchmaking, by limiting as much as possible the strong vibration attenuations usually caused by the seals of the covering, in order to allow those elements of the covering which are intended to radiate to vibrate freely, here called the radiating element.

In order for the vibro-acoustic system constituted by the vibration generating element and the radiating element to be effective, it is important that the radiating element can vibrate freely according to its own modes, which are mainly defined by its fixing system. To prevent vibrations from propagating to the rest of the covering, it is important that the contact between the radiating element and the most rigid part of the box, in particular a middle part, is minimal. However, this type of covering goes against a waterproof construction. The invention optimizes vibration transfer, while guaranteeing the watertightness of the timepiece.

The invention is described and illustrated in the particular and non-limiting case of a striking watch, it is directly applicable to a musical watch, a music box, or other similar timepiece.

In the case of a watch, the assembly constituted by the middle part and the back is the most rigid element, and is in direct contact with the user. The radiating element is, in general, preferably located opposite the bottom, and advantageously comprises at least the telescope or the glass.

The invention is described for a watch case 100 comprising a rigid structure itself comprising a middle part. On this middle part is fixed a bezel which conventionally carries a mirror. Those skilled in the art will easily transpose this performance to a music box or the like.

This at least one resonator component 2 is designed to be rigidly assembled, directly or indirectly, to the structure 1.

De préférence, le composant résonateur 2, même s'il comporte une membrane ou un tel composant destiné à vibrer, comporte au moins une partie de rigidité proche de celle de la structure 1, et la fixation est réalisée au niveau de ces parties rigides du composant résonateur 2 et de la structure 1.Preferably, the resonator component 2, even if it comprises a membrane or such a component intended to vibrate, comprises at least part of rigidity close to that of structure 1, and the fixing is carried out at the level of these rigid parts of the resonator component 2 and of structure 1.

This resonator component 2 defines with the structure 1, when they are assembled to each other in an assembled service position, a chamber 4 which contains at least one sealing element 3 between the structure 1 and the resonator component 2 This chamber 4 goes around the watch case 100. It has a height corresponding to a play value J sufficient to allow, without impeding it, the vibration at full amplitude of the resonator component 2 relative to the structure 1.

The structure 1 and / or the resonator component 2 comprises a groove 51, 52, which is arranged to receive a seal 31, 32, which this sealing element 3 comprises, and to prevent the extraction of the sealing element 3 of chamber 4 in the assembled position.

This sealing element 3 must obey an a priori contradictory problem: not to constitute an obstacle to the vibrations of the resonator component 2, and to ensure the conventional sealing of a watch under a few thousand hectopascals, facing the water. as well as dust and the like. In an advantageous embodiment, the sealing element 3 comprises at least one seal 31, 32, the shape of which is deformed under such external pressure is different from its shape at rest under normal atmospheric pressure. Preferably, this seal has at least one lip 310 thinner than the more solid joint body 320, which is used to hold this seal in a groove or a housing, which thin lip 310 is supported on a flat surface 81 , 82, on which it is all the more pressed the greater the external pressure.

Specifically to the invention, either the structure 1 and / or the resonator component 2 or the sealing element 3 comprises at least one projecting relief 61, 62, 63, which is rigid, and which is arranged for, in the assembled position, exert a compressive force on at least one joint 31, 32, facing a central region of the groove 51, 52, which receives this joint 31, 32. Thus, during the assembly of the resonator component 2 on the structure 1, the sealing element 3 is compressed between them, and each projecting relief compresses a seal in a groove, making the box 100 waterproof. Such a sealing element mounting is not usual, because the grooves usually serve to hold part of a joint whose surface opposite the groove support on a smooth antagonistic surface; moreover, one generally avoids risking injuring a joint by pressing on a projection.

A.Also, in the context of the invention, we preferably choose a silicone seal or similar, with a very low Shore hardness, preferably less than or equal to 20 Shore A.

Ainsi, l'élément d'étanchéité 3 comporte avantageusement au moins un joint 31, 32, de dureté inférieure ou égale à 20 Shore A.Thus, the sealing element 3 advantageously comprises at least one seal 31, 32, of hardness less than or equal to 20 Shore A.

A.More particularly, each seal 31, 32 that comprises the sealing element 3 has a hardness less than or equal to 20 Shore A.

The mechanical fixing system between the structure 1 and the resonator component 2, in particular by at least one tab 7, leaves an axial clearance J between the structure 1 and the resonator component 2. The loss of tightness resulting from this clearance J necessary for the optimal vibration is thus compensated by this particular sealing element 3, specific to the invention.

In a particular embodiment, for example as visible on the figures 2 , 7 or 21 , the watch case 100 includes several internal sealing elements 3 to each other delimiting at least one sealed intermediate volume.

Naturally the projecting relief 61, 62, 63, has no sharp edge, and preferably comprises a radiated profile to avoid injuring the joint. The sealing element 3, once mounted, no longer undergoes actual displacement; its function is to seal the interior of the box 100, in particular when the resonator component 2 vibrates, this vibration being carried out with a well-determined maximum amplitude. Each seal 31, 32, which comprises the sealing element 3, can thus tolerate this vibration and ensure perfect sealing at all times.

The protruding relief 61, 62 can come from manufacturing with the structure 1 or the resonator component 2, but it can also be attached to one of them. According to the invention, the projecting relief 61, 62, 63 is rigid or at least ten times less deformable than the joint concerned, with equal compression.

In a preferred implementation, and as visible in the figures, the resonator component 2 tends to vibrate along an axis Z substantially perpendicular to the bearing surfaces of the joint (s) 31, 32, facing the groove (s) 51, 52 , in a resonance mode called "piston". Each joint 31, 32, is therefore stressed only in this direction, and with a very limited amplitude, less than 0.10 mm and more often of the order of a hundredth of a millimeter.

In a first variant, according to the invention, as visible on the figure 1 , the sealing element 3 comprises a single joint 31, 32, the structure 1 or respectively the resonator component 2 comprises a groove 51, 52, and the resonator component 2, or respectively the structure 1, has a protruding relief 62 , 61. Naturally, this first variant can be extrapolated to a variant, an example of which is illustrated in figure 7 , where the sealing element 3 comprises several seals 31, 32, independent of each other, and interior to one another, that is to say that they have different radii, and the structure 1 or the resonator component 2 have such grooves 51, 52, and protruding reliefs 62, 61, antagonistic, so that each of these joints is compressed by a protruding relief towards the bottom of its receiving groove respective, during the relative assembly of the structure 1 or the resonator component 2.

L'étanchéité est alors triple: effectuée par chacun des joints 31, 32 de façon antagoniste, et par la membrane 33.In a second variant according to the invention, as visible on the figure 2 , the structure 1 comprises a first groove 51 and the resonator component 2 comprises a second groove 52 at a distance from the first groove 51. The sealing element 3 comprises, integral with each other, at least a first seal 31 and a second seal 32 distant from each other and connected to each other by a waterproof membrane 33 extending between the first groove 51 and the second groove 52,. Similarly to previously, the structure 1 comprises a first projecting relief 61 arranged to cooperate with the second seal 32 opposite the second groove 52, and the resonator component 2 comprises a second projecting relief 62 arranged to cooperate with the first seal 31 opposite the first groove 51. The tightness is then threefold: effected by each of the joints 31, 32 in an antagonistic manner, and by the membrane 33.

In a third variant according to the invention, as visible on the figure 3 , the structure 1 comprises a first groove 51, and the resonator component 2 comprises a second groove 52 substantially opposite the first groove 51. The sealing element 3 comprises at least a first seal 31 and a second seal 32 distant l 'from one another and connected to each other by a third rigid protruding relief 63. And this third rigid protruding relief 63 is arranged to cooperate both with the first seal 31 opposite the first groove 51 and with the second seal 32 opposite the second groove 52. The sealing element 3 can be produced by overmolding of such a third rigid protruding relief 63, for example of hard plastic material, in a silicone coating constituting the first seal 31 and the second seal 32. The third rigid protruding relief 63 may consist of a rigid ring maintained and taken sandwich by silicone seals 31 and 32, molded and deposited in the grooves 51 and 52. This ring does not touch the structure 1 or the resonator component 2, to avoid any rigid contact. This ring can also have the shape of a truncated cone, inclined relative to the axial axis Z of the box 100.

The figures illustrate a preferred variant where each projecting relief 62, 61 is a closed rib, the shape of which follows that of the box 100.

In these variants, the raised relief 62, 61 is integral with the structure 1 or respectively the resonator component 2, and is either welded or brazed or machined directly with the element concerned.

It will also be noted that the sealing element 3, or one of the seals 31, 32, which it comprises, is not necessarily an added element, and may be made of silicone molded directly inside adequate throat.

A.The Figures 4 and 5 illustrate another method of manufacturing such a box 100, where the structure 1 or the resonator component 2 comprises a flat surface 81, 82, and where the opposing component comprises, held in a groove 52, 51, the stronger part section 320 of a substantially conical seal which gradually tapers towards a lip 310 of smaller section, which cooperates with this opposing planar surface 81, 82. Again, this seal is almost static and has the function of opposing the entries of water and impurities, leaving the resonator component 2 to vibrate as freely as possible. And, preferably, this seal is also made of silicone or similar, with a very low Shore hardness, preferably less than or equal to 20 Shore AT.

Plus particulièrement, la liaison mécanique réalisée par la fixation rigide entre le composant résonateur 2 et la structure 1 comporte trois pattes 7.The mechanical connection between the structure 1 and the resonator component 2 can be achieved in different ways. Preferably this connection is substantially punctual, so that most of the resonator component 2 can vibrate as freely as possible between two rigid connections. The figures 5 to 16 illustrate, without limitation, a connection by lugs, integral with the structure 1, and / or the resonator component 2. Thus, in a particular variant, the structure 1or the resonator component 2 comprises at least one lug 7 for its rigid fixing and direct to the resonator component 2 or respectively to the structure 1. More particularly, the mechanical connection produced by the rigid attachment between the resonator component 2 and the structure 1 has three tabs 7.

These tabs 7 can be screwed to allow disassembly, or even driven, welded, brazed, or other. The figure 17 illustrates a particular variant where a tab 7 is firmly held by a spring 70 allowing easy disassembly. Naturally, there is then a means of limiting the travel between the structure 1 and the resonator component 2, by a screw or the like. The figures 8 to 11 illustrate different variants of legs 7, more or less rigid, or on the contrary elastic.

Dans cette exécution, la lunette 2 porte un timbre 302, visible à travers la glace 9.The figure 5 shows a stamp 302 fixed to the middle part 1, struck by a hammer 301, while the Figures 15 to 21 show such a stamp mounted integral with the telescope 2: upon activation of this vibration generating element, by a hammer, a spiked drum or the like, the vibrations propagate directly to the telescope-glass assembly. The figure 21 illustrates a particular case where the box 100 has three gold tabs, of width is equal to 3.8 mm, of height is equal to 2.9 mm and of thickness equal to 0.6 mm. In this embodiment, the telescope 2 carries a stamp 302, visible through the glass 9.

A.In a particular embodiment of a watch case 100, and as illustrated by the figures, the structure 1 is a middle part, in particular fixed to a base 11, and the resonator component 2 is a lens carrying a crystal 9, directly or through an ice seal 90. In this regard, in the variant comprising an ice seal 90, to resonate the ice 9 in the best conditions, the material of this ice seal is chosen. 90 according to the same criteria as the seal (s) of the sealing element 3, and in particular of silicone or the like, with a very low Shore hardness, preferably less than or equal to 20 Shore A.

The Figures 11 and 12 illustrate a vibration of the bezel 2 relative to the middle part 1 in piston mode, in the axial direction Z, in the first case with three legs 7 substantially parallel to this axis Z and working in buckling or in extension, and in the second case with three legs 7 perpendicular to the Z axis and working in flexion.

The figure 13 illustrates keeping the bezel 2 by a single tab 7 parallel to the axis Z fixed to the middle part 1, the bezel 2 is then cantilevered and oscillates angularly.

The figure 14 illustrates a holding of the bezel 2 by two legs 7 parallel to the axis Z fixed to the middle part 1 and substantially diametrically opposite, the bezel then tends to pivot around a yaw axis between the ends of these two tabs 7.

It is understood that the fixing of the lens 9 relative to the telescope 2 can be made according to similar variants, and that the resonance can therefore combine:
  • a vibration of the bezel 2 relative to the middle part 1, and
  • a vibration of the glass 9 relative to the telescope 1.

For example, figures 17 to 19 illustrate a diametrical retention of the glass 9 at two opposite points of the telescope 9, directly on the latter, while on the rest of its periphery the glass and the telescope are joined by the glass seal 90.

The figure 23 represents an advantageous variant of seal, designed both to be pressed into its housing groove 52 by a protruding protruding element during assembly of the box, this seal comprising, on the external side of the box, a thin lip 310, here in support on a flat surface 81 of the middle part 1, designed to be pressed against this flat surface 81 all the more that it is subjected to a high external pressure. When the box 100 is closed, the compression of this joint by the projecting element 61, 62, forces, by a rocking effect, the thin lip 310 to come to bear on the flat surface 81, 82. And this support is then reinforced by the exercise of this external pressure.

The invention relates to a musical timepiece 200, that is to say with a sound, striking, alarm, music box or similar mechanism. This timepiece 200, in particular a watch, comprises a mechanism 300 for striking or playing a melody arranged to cause the resonance, for example by a hammer 301, a spiked cylinder, or other similar means, at least one stamp 302 or a keyboard fixed to a structure 1 or to a resonator component 2 of a box 100.

According to the invention, this resonator component 2 is arranged to be rigidly assembled to the structure 1, by at least one lug 7 allowing the vibration of the resonator component 2 in a determined frequency interval. This resonator component 2 defines with the structure 1, when they are assembled to each other in an assembled service position, a chamber 4 which contains at least one sealing element 3 between the structure 1 and the resonator component 2 This sealing element 3 on the one hand, and on the other hand the at least one tab 7, constitute the only mechanical connection between the structure 1 and the resonator component 2. The sealing element 3 comprises a or several seals 31, 32, in contact with the structure 1 and the resonator component 2, and all the seals 31, 32, have a hardness less than or equal to 20 Shore A, for minimum damping of the vibration of the resonator component 2. More particularly, these seals are made of silicone.

In a first embodiment, this timepiece 200 comprises a case 100 which is a watch case according to one of the variants of the Figures 1 to 3 exposed above.

In a second embodiment according to the invention, at least the structure 1 and / or the resonator component 2 comprises a groove 51, 52, which is arranged to receive a portion of larger section 320, of a seal 31, 32, which comprises this sealing element 3, as visible on the figure 4 . The structure 1 and / or respectively the resonator component 2 then comprises such a groove 51, 52, and the resonator component 2 or respectively the structure 1 comprises substantially opposite the groove 51, 52, a flat surface 82, 81, on which rests, in the assembled position, a lip of smaller section 310, of the seal 31, 32. The seal 31, 32 is of substantially conical shape, and closes the chamber 4 with the lip of smaller section 310, which is arranged more on the outside of the watch case 100 than the part of stronger section 320, like a spinnaker joint in an automobile transmission.

The relative fixing between the structure 1 and the resonator component 2 can be carried out as described above, with one or more lugs 7, and the entire description relating to the watch case 100 is applicable to this timepiece 200.

Naturally, the first mode and the second embodiment can be combined, as in the example of the figure 20 . The watch case 100 then comprises several sealing elements 3 inside each other, and delimiting at least one sealed intermediate volume. And, more particularly, a sealing element cooperating with a projecting element 61, 62, is located more inside the watch case 100 than a sealing element with a conical seal with a thin lip.

The vibro-acoustic system according to the invention is effective, since the radiating element, here the resonator component 2, can vibrate freely according to its own modes. The contact between the bezel and the middle part is minimal, thanks to a construction with a bezel fixed to a rigid middle part by means of lugs or the like avoiding direct contact of the bezel around the entire circumference of the middle part.

The invention can be used with a covering element manufactured by electroforming, where, because of the very fine structure of this type of component, a seal is necessary to resist the pressure of the water without damaging the component itself . In particular, a bezel or electroformed middle part of a gold alloy is well suited to the implementation of the invention.

  • deux composants sont constitués par deux volumes solides rigides faisant partie de la boîte de la montre, comme par exemple une lunette et une carrure, un fond et une carrure, une lunette et une glace, une fond et une glace, un fond et une lunette ;
  • au moins un composant est un élément d'étanchéité comportant au moins un joint hautement déformable lors de l'opération d'emboîtage, par exemple un joint en silicone de très faible dureté Shore ;
  • au moins un des deux volumes solides rigides présente une gorge sur la face qui s'oppose à la face de l'autre volume solide lors de l'emboîtage ;
In short, the invention relates to a particular assembly of at least three components for covering a watch, where:
  • two components are constituted by two rigid solid volumes forming part of the watch case, such as for example a bezel and a middle part, a back and a middle part, a bezel and a crystal, a bottom and a crystal, a bottom and a bezel ;
  • at least one component is a sealing element comprising at least one highly deformable seal during the casing operation, for example a silicone seal of very low Shore hardness;
  • at least one of the two rigid solid volumes has a groove on the face which opposes the face of the other solid volume during fitting;
  • a component in the shape of the box, which can be inscribed in a volume of revolution having a diameter corresponding to the diameter of the two solid volumes, and which is rigid or elastic, but which, if it is elastic, is at least ten times less deformable than the joint concerned with equal compression.

L'invention procure des avantages importants :

  • limiter les pertes vibratoires au niveau des moyens d'étanchéité nécessaires entre un élément vibrant destiné à rayonner et la structure de la boîte de montre ou similaire;
  • diminuer l'amortissement des vibrations, ce qui conduit à une plus grande persistance du son ;
The invention provides important advantages:
  • limit the vibration losses at the level of the sealing means necessary between a vibrating element intended to radiate and the structure of the watch case or the like;
  • decrease the damping of vibrations, which leads to greater persistence of sound;
  • improve the acoustic performance of a covering with this type of solution.
