Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a secure document and a method for automatically authenticating this secure document.
Document known as secure documents, which include a security marking to ensure their authentication. For example, secure documents, such as identification documents or payment means typically include security markings, such as graphic patterns printed with fluorescent inks or holograms. It may be desirable for certain applications to selectively limit the display of this security marking.
This secure document thus has the disadvantage of requiring specific light sources to be able to observe the security marking. This makes reading the document more complex to use but also more expensive.
There is therefore a need for a secure document having an increased level of security and having a simplified use.
L'invention concerne donc un document sécurisé, comportant :
- un marquage de sécurité, permettant l'authentification du document ;
- permettre la visualisation du marquage de sécurité lorsque ledit écran est dans l'état optiquement passant ;
- security marking, allowing authentication of the document;
- a screen, switchable between an optically blocking state and an optically-on state, this switching being performed in response to an electrical control signal, this screen being superimposed on the security marking so as to:
- hide the security marking when said screen is in the optically blocking state, and
- allow the display of the security marking when said screen is in the optically-passing state;
- an interface (8) for receiving a set-point signal, configured to receive a set-point signal and to supply the display with the electrical control signal in response to the received set-point signal.
The switchable screen between optically blocking and passing states selectively limits the display of the security marking, in a simplified manner. Thus, this selective limitation simply depends on the optical state of the screen, and no longer, for example, optical properties of the light used to visualize the marking. In addition, the receiving interface can electrically power and control the switching of the screen, without it being necessary to provide the document with a source of energy. The use and reading of the document is simplified.

Advantageously, the
- mask the
marking 4 when thescreen 6 is in the optically blocking state, and - allow the display of the
marking 4 when thescreen 6 is in the optically passing state.
For this purpose, the
The
- dans l'état optiquement passant, lorsque le signal de commande est appliqué entre des bornes d'entrée électrique de cet écran 6 ;

- receive a radio signal, and for
- generating the control signal and supplying the supply voltage to the screen in response to the received radio signal.
The
The

Then, during a
Finally, during a
Advantageously, the
Many other embodiments are possible.
For example, the marking is a barcode, or a graphic pattern printed by means of an optically variable device ("optically variable device" in English), or a watermark, or a security hologram, or a drawn pattern. by stencil printing ("stencil printing" in English).
The optically active layer of the
The transparent material of the
The
The radio wave source may be different. For example, the radio signal is provided by a network or a mobile telephone device.
The condition for switching the
The
In a variant of the invention, it is possible to use an electrochromic ink which changes from a dark color to a light color depending on the supply voltage. The marking is then positioned above the screen so as to be invisible when the screen has a dark and visible color when this color is clear.
In this case, it is then possible to have two different markings on either side of the electrochromic layer.
