Claims (14)

  1. A method for installing a shower partition which is composed of glass and which is inserted in at least one U-shaped profiled rail (20), wherein an adhesive material coating (27) is applied on the inner side of at least one leg (22) of the profiled rail (20) that rests against the glass pane (16) installed in the profiled rail (20), and, after sliding in and aligning the glass pane (16), the profiled rail (20) has a position-fixing clamping effect on the glass pane (16) inserted into the profiled rail (20) and positioned therein, characterized in that the surfaces of the glass pane (16), prior to sliding them into the profiled rail (20), are wetted with a mixture composed of water and an agent that reduces the surface tension of water, and that after wetting, the glass pane (16) is slid in and aligned in the profiled rail (20) provided with the adhesive material coating (27) composed of a material adapted for firmly adhering on the glass surface, wherein during the evaporation of the water applied onto the glass pane (16) and until the rigid and tight connection between the profiled rail (20) and the glass pane (16) is established again in the process of this, the profiled rail (20), due to its clamping effect, exerts the required contact pressure on the surface of the glass pane (16).

  4. The method according to claim 3, characterized in that the strip carrying the adhesive material coating (27) is slid into a groove (25) provided on the inner side of the leg (22) of the profiled rail (20) and is fixed therein in a positive-locking manner.
  5. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the adhesive material coating (27) is provided with a self-adhering coating on its surface to be connected to the leg (22) of the profiled rail or to the strip (26).
  6. The method according to any one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the adhesive material coating (27) is fastened to the leg (22) of the profiled rail (20) or to the strip (26) by means of a double-sided adhesive installation tape.
  7. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the adhesive material coating (27) fixed on the leg (22) of the profiled rail (20) is provided with a protective foil that covers the free surface thereof and can be peeled off prior to the installation of the glass pane (16).
  8. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the adhesive material coating (27) is applied onto the two legs (22) of the profiled rail (20) which enclose the glass pane (16) inserted in the profiled rail (20).
  9. The method according to claim 8, characterized in that the legs (22) of the profiled rail (20) which enclose the glass pane (16) and which, prior to inserting the glass pane (16), have a smaller spacing than the material thickness of the glass pane (16), are bent open by sliding in and aligning the glass pane (16).
  10. The method according to any one of the claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the adhesive material coating (27) is applied on the inner side of one leg (22) of the profiled rail (20), and a clamping profile (35) for clamping the glass pane (16) in the profiled rail (20) is inserted at the opposing leg (22) of the profiled rail (20).
  11. The method according to claim 10, characterized in that the clamping profile (35) is latched with the profiled rail (20) in at least one clamping position.
  12. The method according to claim 11, characterized in that at least two latching positions of the clamping profile (35) in the profiled rail (20) are each provided with different contact pressures of the glass pane (16) against that leg (22) of the profiled rail (20) that is provided with the adhesive material coating (27).
  13. The method according to any one of claims 10 to 12, characterized in that prior to inserting the glass pane (16), a seal (36) attached on that surface of the clamping profile (35) that rests against the glass pane (16) is wetted with the mixture composed of water and an agent reducing the surface tension of water.
  14. The method according to any one of claims 1 to 13, characterized in that the receiving depth of the profiled rail (20) for the glass pane (16) is dimensioned larger than the region (30) of the profiled rail leg (22) that is provided with the adhesive material coating (27), wherein the width of the adhesive material coating (27) covers a front section (30) of the leg (22), which front section adjoins the receiving opening (24) of the profiled rail (20) for the component (16).
