Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for feeding book blocks to a bookbinding machine according to the preamble of claim 1.
In bookbinding machines known as perfect binders, adhesive bound booklets or book blocks are made for solid bindings, with adhesive applied to the previously processed spine of the book block and an envelope and / or a fiddle strip wrapped around the spine and pressed. Depending on the equipment of the perfect binder different binding methods and product variants are possible.
The loose book blocks pass through a transfer channel into the perfect binder, the book blocks being progressively advanced by bar conveyors in a channel having a bottom and lateral guide walls, passing one or more vibrating stations. The book blocks, which are transported on their backs in the longitudinal direction of the back, are guided over vibrating plates embedded in the floor and aligned in the back and on the head so that all folded sheets and / or single sheets lie in one plane.
In particular, in the processing of book blocks formed exclusively from single sheets and / or quarter sheets, as they typically occur in digital printing, such transfer of the book block is not without problems. The outer leaves tend to migrate up the guide walls during advancement, or to crawl under the ridges or to lie between the feed dog and the head of the book block. Already when creating the book block above individual sheets can not be pushed back into the sheet stack when advancing on the Rüttelstrecke insufficient and be aligned so that a previous regurgitation of the book blocks is required, combined with a careful and laborious inserting the sheet stack in the transfer channel. At a stop of the machine, it can also lead to Vorschießen individual sheets or block parts.
The invention has for its object to provide a device for feeding book block to a bookbinding machine according to the preamble of claim 1, which, with a simple construction, a proper alignment and transfer of particular sheet pilings formed from individual sheets, respectively. Bookblocks even at higher production speeds.
This object is achieved in that the conveyor has at least one aligned in the vibrator, standing on the block back sheet stack laterally on the block back by means of terminal strips and supporting the block back on support plates, taking over from an inclined supply position and horizontally transferred to the book block conveyor clamping truck.
The stacks of sheets are no longer pushed through a channel in the perfect binder, but transported laterally clamped by the clamping carriage. The created in the upstream vibrator alignment of the sheet stack is maintained. A perfect transport with the clamping carriage is ensured by the fact that the sheet stacks are not only clamped laterally but are supported by support plates of the clamping carriage. The applied clamping force can be minimized to protect the product. And the laterally on the block back cross-clamping bars can be kept so narrow in height that a gripped transport of the sheet stack without premature release into the brackets or the clamping plate conveyor of the book block conveyor is possible until they are closed, whereby a positive transfer to the exclusion possible Block shifts is guaranteed. The stacks of sheets are in the inclined standing orientation, which stands for a stable state of the sheet stacks ensures, taken from the terminal carriage and only then pivoted into the horizontal block backing position.
A perfect alignment result can be achieved if the vibrator has inclined, mutually perpendicular Rüttelplatten against the horizontal, on which the sheet stacks are aligned standing on their leaf edges. The aligned sheet stacks can be easily transported through transversely displaceable guide plates in the ready position. Preferably, a calming area is formed in the provision position of the vibrator, in that the provision position has rigid support plates which connect with interlocking tongues and / or obliquely separated separating points on the vibrating plates. The adoption of the stack of sheets by the clamping carriage is made possible by a front portion of the sheet stack is released from the support plates in the stowed position.
Preferably, the terminal strips of the at least one clamping carriage are preset in their opening width after the respective block thickness of the sheet stack to be accepted. In the field of sheet stack takeover, only a small amount of space is required.
In a preferred development, it is provided that the at least one clamping carriage is driven intermittently, with a stoppage phase for taking over in the stowed position stowing stack of sheets and a synchronization phase with the book block conveyor at the transfer. The takeover at standstill ensures the alignment created and the delivery to the current book block conveyor allows high feed rates.
In a preferred further development, a revolving conveyor system of a plurality of clamping carriages arranged one behind the other is provided, whereby even higher feed rates are made possible with simultaneously extended standstill phases and synchronizing phases. For the independent drive immediately successive clamping carriage, the clamping carriage are alternately coupled to at least two separately driven funding. For the circulation of the clamping carriage a mehrgliedriger in the conveying direction clamping carriage is provided, which is flexible in a first direction and stable in a second direction. The resulting multi-part terminal strips are successively openable and / or closable. Preferably, a first portion of the multi-part terminal strips at the standstill of at least one clamping carriage for taking over a sheet stack is closable and subsequent sections are closed in each case according to zurückgelegtem conveying path in the movement of the clamping carriage. A front of the support plates released portion of the stack of sheets is detected safely and without displacement at standstill, at slow withdrawal speed subsequent clamping sections are closed, so that finally the sheet stack can be conveyed away with high acceleration. When transferring the stack of sheets to the book block conveyor preferably all sections of the multi-part terminal strips are opened simultaneously. This allows a shorter transfer distance, which also has a positive effect on the length of the perfect binder.

Further adjusting elements are provided below or within the
After taking over a
The second vibrating plate 6.2 is adjustable together with the
With a
Provided here is an intermittent drive of the clamping carriage 34.1 ... 4, with a standstill phase in which the first clamping portion 36.1 is closed. The respective clamping carriage 31.1... 4 is then advanced with the
Klemmwagen 31.1 und 31.3 an Förderkette 38.1 und Klemmwagen 31.2 und 31.4 an Förderkette 38.2.In order to drive the four successive revolving clamping carriage 31.1 ... 4 each as stated above and also to allow a position-dependent positioning of the
