By moving the clamping wedge 56 with the clamping or adjusting screw 62, the support profile is raised or lowered, thereby regulating the tension of the toothed belt 34. Support profile 32 and clamping wedge 56 are guided displaceably in the clamping housing 58. The clamping housing 58 is supported on the drive housing 38 or anchored separately on the stand mast 12. The clamping or adjusting screw 62 is actuated by a through hole in the stationary mast 12 with a conventional tool, namely a screwdriver.

Claims (8)

  1. Standing parasol (2), having a mast (12) and a collapsible parasol canopy with canopy and support struts (4, 6) and with a lower articulation ring (10) and with an upper articulation ring (8), in which the canopy struts (4) and the support struts (6) are respectively connected to the lower articulation ring (10) or to the upper articulation ring (8), in which the upper articulation ring (8) is connected to a telescopic tube (22) which is guided in the mast (12) and can be raised and lowered, and in which the telescopic tube (22) for raising and lowering is connected to a circulating member (34) which may be actuated by way of an upper deflection roller (36) and a drive gear (50) that is arranged on the mast (12), wherein the upper deflection roller (36) is arranged on a deflection support (32) by means of a deflection roller bearing (28), the deflection support (32) being secured to the mast (12) and projecting into the telescopic tube (22), wherein the deflection support (32) is arranged in the mast (12) and connected to the mast (12) by means of a drive casing (38) and in which the circulating member (34) includes a toothed belt or a chain of links, balls or beads.
  2. Standing parasol according to claim 1, wherein the deflection roller bearing (28) takes the form of a centring guide in the telescopic tube (22).
  3. Standing parasol according to claim 1, wherein the standing parasol further includes a support web (30), which supports the lower part of the deflection support (32)
  4. Standing parasol according to claim 1, wherein the deflection support (32) contains a tensioning device (54) for the circulating member (34).
  5. Standing parasol according to claim 4, wherein the tensioning device (54) is in the form of a wedge-shaped rest surface.
  6. Standing parasol according to any one of claims 4 or 5, wherein the tensioning device is actuable from outside the mast (12) by way of a tensioning screw (62).
  7. Standing parasol according to claim 1, wherein the standing parasol further includes a connecting member, preferably a cable (16), which is guided from the telescopic tube (22) by way of a deflection roller (18) to the lower articulation ring (10), which is vertically adjustable.
  8. Standing parasol according to claim 1, wherein the circulating member (34) includes a branch which is guided over a deflection roller (18) to the lower articulation ring (10).
