Description

The present invention relates to a device for sampling and applying a cosmetic product, comprising a heating member.

It has been proposed to use for makeup eyelashes an applicator comprising a heating member, electrically powered by one or more battery (s) or by a battery present in the applicator.

The product is for example applied to the eyelashes by means of a brush or a comb and the applicator comprising the heating member is then used to perfect the makeup of the eyelashes, in particular to lengthen or curl the eyelashes.

It has been proposed to use the applicator provided with the heating member to proceed with the application of the product. In this case, the product is for example deposited in a solid form in contact with the heating member, the latter being heated to a temperature sufficient to cause the melting of the product.

International demand WO 2007/143430 teaches to extinguish an electric heating member when the latter is introduced into a product reservoir.

In use, the temperature of the heating element must not be too high to avoid any risk of burns of the eyelashes or the skin in case of accidental contact with the latter, and in practice the temperature of the organ heating during application should not exceed 65 ° C.

The heating of the heating member and the supply of calories necessary to melt the product brought into contact is a function of the thermal inertia of the applicator and the electric power of the heating member.

EP 1 466 541 discloses a device according to the preamble of claim 1.

There is a need to reduce the waiting time necessary for warming up the heating element and to facilitate any product loading of the applicator.

L'invention vise notamment à répondre à ce besoin. The invention aims in particular to meet this need.

According to one of its aspects, the subject of the invention is a device for sampling and applying a cosmetic product, comprising:
  • an applicator comprising an electric heating member and,
  • a container containing the product, the container having a housing in which the applicator can be at least partially introduced to be loaded with product, the device comprising an electric supply circuit arranged so that the power supply of the heating element automatically undergoes a modification when a predefined condition relating to the introduction of the applicator into the housing is satisfied. Before its introduction into the housing, the heating member may not be electrically powered.

The applicator may comprise at least one autonomous source of electrical energy supplying the electric circuit. The autonomous power source comprises for example one or more battery (s) or a rechargeable battery.

Thanks to the invention, it is possible to feed the heating member with a higher electrical power when it is at least partially introduced into the housing, so without there being a risk for the user to be exposed to the heating element.

This allows, if desired, to momentarily wear the heating member to a temperature greater than that allowed during the application of the product. During the presence of the heating element in the housing, any possible regulation of the temperature of the heating element can be deactivated, in order to be able to bring the heating element to a maximum temperature, and then once the applicator disengaged from the container, the eventual regulation of temperature can be active again in order to maintain the heating member at a service temperature compatible with the contact of the heating member with the keratin materials.

In addition, the invention may allow in exemplary embodiments to automatically recharge the applicator product as soon as it returns to the container, which can make the device easier to use. Carrying the heating member to a temperature above its operating temperature, when the heating member is in the housing of the container, can facilitate the melting of the product in contact with the heating member, which can improve the loading in product of the heating member and / or allow to have a more homogeneous distribution of molten product on the heating member.

The invention may also allow, if desired, temporarily supplying the heating member from an auxiliary electrical source present in the container, which can save the power source of the applicator and to increase the autonomy of it. The energy source of the applicator may for example serve only to maintain the heating member at the operating temperature.

In an exemplary implementation of the invention, the modification of the power supply of the heating element once it is at least partially introduced into the housing is accompanied by an increase in the electrical power dissipated by the heating member, following an increase in the supply voltage of the heating member, for example. The electric power dissipated by the heating element when it is at least partially introduced into the housing is for example between 0.1 W and 2 W. When the heating member is only maintained at its operating temperature, the power electrical dissipated by the heating member may be less, being for example between 0.3 W and 0.6 W.

The increase of the electric power dissipated by the heating member can lead to an increase in the temperature of the heating member carrying the latter to at least 85 ° C, for example.

The heating member may not be energized before its introduction into the housing. Alternatively, the heating member may be powered according to a first feed mode before its introduction into the housing. This first mode of supply of the heating member corresponds for example to the power supply of the heating member which keeps it at a service temperature suitable for the application of the product by the user, for example a service temperature between 60 and 70 ° C.

The heating member can automatically return to this first feeding mode as soon as the applicator is removed from the container housing.

The electrical supply circuit can be at least partially housed in the applicator.

The detection of the at least partial introduction of the applicator into the receptacle of the receptacle can be carried out in various ways, in particular by virtue of a switch carried by the applicator. The term "switch" should be broadly understood, and include components and assemblies of electronic or electromechanical components, and the switch can interact mechanically, magnetically or optically with the container, to change state.

The aforementioned predefined condition leading to a change in the power supply of the heating member is for example the modification of a state of the switch during the introduction of the applicator into the housing of the container.

The switch is for example a flexible blade switch sensitive to a magnetic field and the container may comprise a magnet. The switch and the magnet can be arranged to face each other when the applicator is introduced into the housing, so that the magnetic field generated by the magnet changes the state. of the switch.

The switch may be a fugitive contact switch, for example a push button, and the housing for mechanically causing the passage of the switch from a first to a second position, changing its state, when the applicator is introduced into housing.

The switch can still be optical detection.

The applicator may also include a sensor responsive to a pressure exerted on the heating member. The predefined condition is then for example the detection of a pressure exerted on the heating element, greater than a predefined value.

As mentioned above, the container may comprise an auxiliary source of electrical energy. This auxiliary source comprises for example one or more battery (s) or a battery or can be connected to the mains.

The electrical circuit may comprise first electrical contacts, for example connected to the auxiliary source and projecting into the wall of the housing, and the applicator may comprise second electrical contacts, arranged to contact the first contacts when the applicator is in the housing.

The predefined condition can be the contacting of the first and second electrical contacts. This bringing into contact may allow the heating member to be supplied both by the source of electrical energy of the applicator and by the auxiliary electrical energy source of the container or by the latter only. The power supply by the auxiliary source can make it possible to less stress the source of electrical energy of the applicator, and to gain autonomy. The supply by the auxiliary source may be provided to cause the dissipation by the heating member of a higher electrical power. For example, the auxiliary source has a voltage greater than that of the autonomous electrical source of the applicator, for example a voltage 30% greater than that of the energy source of the applicator.

If necessary, the auxiliary source can be used to recharge a battery housed in the applicator.

The electrical circuit may comprise a timer arranged in such a way that the change in the power supply of the heating element only occurs for a predetermined duration, for example that necessary for charging the heating element with product and / or for the rise to the operating temperature of the heating element or the rise to a higher temperature favoring the removal of the product.

Thus, in an exemplary implementation of the invention, each return of the applicator in the container, the power supply of the heating member is performed with a dissipated electrical power that is maximum for a predefined period, and then the power supply can then be performed with a lower electrical power dissipated, for example only with the power necessary to maintain the heating member at the operating temperature.

The device can also be arranged to, when the applicator is in place on the container, at a standstill, allow the user to turn it on while leaving it on the container. In this case, the power supply of the heating member can be carried out for a predefined duration with a maximum dissipated electrical power, so that the heating of the heating element is carried out quickly.

The device may comprise an indicator light and / or sound arranged to emit an audible and / or visual signal when the heating member has reached its operating temperature or to signal to the user that the heating member is powered with an electric power. higher.

The applicator may comprise a gripping portion and an applicator head comprising the heating member.

In an exemplary embodiment, the housing of the container extends along a vertical axis when the container is placed on a horizontal flat surface and the applicator head has a surface intended to contact the keratin materials which extends generally perpendicular to the axis. longitudinal axis of the applicator.

Alternatively, the housing extends along a horizontal axis when the container is placed on a horizontal flat surface and the applicator head has a surface for contacting the keratin materials which extends generally parallel to the longitudinal axis of the applicator .

The product present in the container may be in solid form, for example powdery or compacted, or in gel form.

The product can be brought in various ways into contact with the heating member of the applicator.

The product is for example present in the bottom of the housing of the container and the applicator takes the product due to the fact that the product adheres to the heating member when the latter is hot. This is for example the case when the product is in powder form or compacted in the bottom of the housing.

The product can also be deposited on the heating member being for example brought over it. This can be the case when the product is in a powdered form, gelled or in the form of bodies having a larger size, for example beads or strips.

The applicator can still be immersed in the product to be loaded in product.

The product is, for example, a product to be applied to keratinous fibers, in particular mascara, for example a mascara having a hot-running character only.

The container may be arranged to be refilled with product and comprises for example a compartment having an opening for discharging the contents of a product refill, for example a product refill in powder form.

The container may still be non-rechargeable by the user himself.

The same applicator may be used, where appropriate, with at least two containers containing different products. Each container may comprise identification means for informing the applicator on the nature of the product contained in the container, for example electrical, optical, magnetic or mechanical means.

The fact for the applicator to be informed about the nature of the product may allow for example to automatically carry the heating member to a predetermined temperature depending on the product contained in the container into which the applicator is brought.

The container may be provided to receive the applicator in the absence of use thereof, the applicator being for example arranged to close the housing containing the product. Alternatively, the applicator is for example stored elsewhere than on the container in the absence of use and the container may include a closure member separate from the applicator to close the housing.

The invention further relates, in another of its aspects, to a method for taking a cosmetic product, including care, by an applicator, in which:
  • at least partially an applicator having a heating element is introduced into a receptacle comprising the product to be sampled,
  • detecting whether a predefined condition, relating to the presence of the applicator in the container, is verified,
  • the power supply of the heating element is automatically changed when the predefined condition is verified.

The heating member may be fed in a first feed mode before introduction into the container or alternatively not be fed before being introduced into the container. After changing the power supply, the heating member may be powered according to a second feed mode, so that the temperature of the heating member increases.

The power supply of the heating member may be modified as long as the predefined condition is satisfied or alternatively for a predefined period.

The invention further relates, in another of its aspects, independently of the above, a device for sampling and applying a cosmetic product comprising a heating member, the latter comprising a resistive wire wound around a support.

The wire is for example nickel chromium alloy or cupro-nickel. The wire may or may not include external electrical insulation. In an exemplary embodiment, the wire is chromium nickel alloy insulated with PTFE. Alternatively, the wire is enamelled copper-nickel alloy.

The wire may be arranged in the form of contiguous turns or not. Joining turns can facilitate the cleaning of the heating element.

The support on which the wire is wound may be electrically non-conductive, for example comprising a ceramic, a silicone or another plastic material sufficiently resistant to heat.

The support may be hollow and the wire may be arranged at least partially inside the support. The support can also be full. The support may be in the form of a peg, a thin disc or a plate.

The support may be overmolded or sintered on the wire.

Another subject of the invention, according to another of its aspects, is a device for applying a cosmetic product or for perfecting makeup, comprising a heating member and an electric circuit for feeding the heating member, circuit comprising a control means for supercharging the heating member with a dissipated electric power greater than that necessary for its maintenance at a service temperature of between 60 and 70 ° C for example.

The control means is for example a switch actuated by the user or actuated automatically when placing the device on a container containing the product to be taken.

The heating member is for example supercharged by being supplied with a voltage greater than that allowing its maintenance at the operating temperature, for example a voltage greater than at least 30%. The heating element can also be supercharged by being fed with a higher duty cycle, for example being fed continuously during the supercharging phase (100% duty cycle), then at a lower duty cycle thereafter, this duty cycle being, for example, the state of exhaustion of the energy source.

The heating member can be supercharged for a predefined period, determined by a time delay.

Representatives Figures 1 to 3 a device 1 according to the invention.

This device 1 comprises a container 3 containing a product P to be applied and an applicator 2 for taking the product P and applying it to the keratinous fibers, the skin or the mucous membranes, depending on its nature.

In the example illustrated, the product P is powdery, being contained in a reservoir 9 of the container 3, the reservoir 9 communicating with a housing 5 intended to receive the applicator.

The container 3 is arranged to allow a certain amount of product P from the tank 9 to gain the housing 5 in order to be taken by the applicator 2.

In the illustrated example, the supply of the housing 5 is effected by a passage 8 formed between a partition 7 separating the housing 5 from the reservoir 9 and a wall 4 defining the bottom of the housing 5. This passage 8 can extend any around the housing 5, the reservoir 9 having for example an annular shape.

To load the housing 5 in product, in the absence of the applicator 2, the user can for example tap on the container 3 so that the product P flows by gravity through the passage 8 in the housing 5 and divide in the bottom of it.

The applicator 2 comprises a housing 20 serving as a gripping part, provided at one end with an applicator head 21, which carries a heating element 24.

The applicator head 21 is intended to be engaged in the housing 5. The latter is arranged to keep the applicator 2 oriented substantially vertically when the container 3 rests on a horizontal flat surface, as shown in FIGS. Figures 2 and 3 .

The applicator 2 comprises, as illustrated in FIG. figure 4 an autonomous electric source 50, for example one or more cells or a battery, housed in the housing 20, and an electric supply circuit 51 which manages the power supply of the heating member 24.

The applicator 2 comprises control means that enable the user to switch the applicator from a standstill or standby state to a running state, these control means comprising, for example, a switch 40 for operation. stop present on the housing 20 of the applicator.

According to one aspect of the invention, the device 1 also comprises detection means which enable detection of the engagement of the applicator 2 on the container 3, in order to modify the power supply of the heating member 24 to the less temporarily, following this detection.

In the example of Figures 1 to 3 , the applicator 2 comprises a switch 42 which is actuated automatically when the applicator 2 is in place on the container.

This switch 42 is for example a push button present on the housing 20 or the applicator head 21, which is moved so as to change state when the applicator 2 is placed on the container 3.

The electrical supply circuit 51 present in the applicator 2 detects the change of state of the switch 42 and this detection can control the beginning of a predefined operating phase, during which the heating element is supercharged so as to dissipate an electrical power greater than that normally necessary for maintaining the temperature of the heating element at the operating temperature. This supercharging phase may, for example, make it possible to raise the temperature of the heating member very rapidly and / or to facilitate its loading into product.

During the supercharging phase, the temperature of the heating member can reach for example more than 90 ° C, while the operating temperature of the heating member is for example between 60 and 70 ° C.

During the supercharging phase, the heating element is for example supplied with a voltage greater than the voltage corresponding to its maintenance at the operating temperature, for example a voltage of 3V while the supply voltage corresponding to the operating temperature is 2V.

The supply circuit 51 of the heating member comprises for example a switching power supply and the power supply of the heating member can be performed with a variable duty cycle.

The detection of the presence of the applicator in the housing can cause a variation of the duty cycle, the supply of the heating member during the supercharging phase being for example carried out with a duty cycle greater than that ensuring the maintenance of the heating member at the operating temperature.

During the supercharging phase, the supply of the heating element can be carried out continuously, for example.

During the maintenance phase of the heating element at the operating temperature, the voltage of the autonomous electrical energy source can be measured in order to know its state of exhaustion and the duty cycle can vary according to the state depletion of the autonomous energy source, tending to increase as the voltage of the source drops.

The duration during which the heating element is supercharged can be defined by a time delay, in order to avoid that, in the event of prolonged maintenance of the heating element on the receptacle 3, the electrical source of the applicator is not used up unnecessarily.

The applicator 2 can be arranged to switch off automatically in the event of absence of prolonged use.

The applicator 2 may include a light indicator 44 to signal to the user that the applicator 2 is ready to be used, for example that the operating temperature is reached.

In case of automatic shutdown of the applicator due for example to a too long presence on the container 3, the indicator 44 goes off and the user is thus informed that a new pressure on the switch 40 of walking / stop is necessary before applying the product.

The electric circuit 51 for supplying the heating element may also be arranged so that, when the applicator is started, if the presence of the applicator on the receptacle is detected, the heating element 24 is supercharged during a predefined time.

The electric circuit 51 for supplying the heating member may also be arranged so that, in the event of the applicator withdrawing from the receptacle 3, the power supply of the heating element is immediately modified so as to reduce it to the maximum quickly at its service temperature, compatible with the application on keratin materials. The change of state of the switch 42 can be monitored for this purpose.

The device 1 may comprise detection means which make it possible to detect the release of the applicator 2 from the container 3, in order to bring the power supply of the heating member back into the first mode of supply, also called "mode of service". ".

When the applicator 2 comprises a rechargeable battery, the introduction of the applicator 2 on the container 3 can be used to recharge the battery, for example through electrical contacts on the container that cooperate with electrical contacts of the applicator.

The detection of the presence of the applicator 2 on the container 3 may be effected otherwise than by the change of state of a switch 42 as described above.

For example, the applicator 2 comprises a magnetic switch of the ILS type and the container 3 comprises a magnet which is arranged so as to change the state of this magnetic switch when the applicator 2 is in place on the container.

The applicator 2 may also comprise an optical switch, for example a photodiode or a phototransistor, which changes state when the applicator 2 is in place in the receptacle 3, for example because of the interruption of a light beam emitted by the applicator 2, the return to the applicator 2 of a light beam emitted by the applicator 2 or the reception by the applicator 2 of a light beam emitted by the receptacle 3.

The detection of the presence of the applicator 2 on the container 3 can still be carried out by detecting a contact pressure exerted on the applicator 2, for example at the level of the applicator head 21, for example a pressure on the applicator 2. heating member 24.

The applicator head 21 comprises for example a pressure sensor disposed under the heating member 24, so that the pressure of the latter against the bottom of the housing is detected. The electric supply circuit present in the applicator 2 can be arranged to start the supercharging phase following this detection.

The detection of the presence of the applicator in the receptacle of the receptacle can still take place thanks to the coming into contact of electrical contacts of the applicator 2 with electrical contacts of the receptacle 3.

If necessary, the electrical energy necessary for the supercharging of the heating member may come from an auxiliary electrical source disposed in the container. For example, the applicator may comprise first electrical contacts and the container of second electrical contacts. When the applicator is in place in the container, the heating member is for example supplied at a higher voltage via the first and second contacts.

The electric circuit 51 of the applicator comprises all the components for electrically supplying the heating member according to the operating phases provided.

Advantageously, the electrical circuit 51 comprises a microcontroller which is programmed to provide the desired functionalities.

The electrical circuit may also include at least one electronic switch 54 connected in series with the heating member 24, and which allows for example to feed it with the desired duty cycle.

In the variant illustrated in figure 5 , the heating member 24 has its longitudinal axis which is substantially parallel to that of the applicator.

The detection of the presence of the heating member in the housing 5 of the container 3 can be carried out in a manner similar to that previously described.

With such a configuration of the heating member 24, the latter is preferably loaded into product by being introduced into a laterally open housing 5, for example a housing 5 of horizontal longitudinal axis Y, as illustrated in FIG. figure 6 .

The container 3 can be arranged to deposit a quantity of product on the heating member 24 when it is present in the housing 5.The container 3 comprises for example a product outlet 11 which overhangs the heating member 24 and allows to deposit on it the product.

The product P can be fed to the outlet 11 in various ways, for example by means of a movable member, which pushes the product to the outlet or carries a certain quantity, taken from a reservoir.

The container 3 may also comprise several doses of product P waiting to be dispensed and be arranged to allow the user to distribute the doses one by one on the heating member 24.

On a représenté aux figures 7 à 17 différents exemples, parmi d'autres, de réalisation de l'organe chauffant 24.Representatives Figures 7 to 17 various examples, among others, of embodiment of the heating member 24.

The wire 27 is for example made of nickel-chromium alloy or cupro-nickel and may have a diameter of between 0.1 mm and 0.5 mm, being for example of the order of 0.2 mm, and a length of between 120 mm and 180 mm, being for example of the order of 150 mm.

Le fil 27 peut être isolé électriquement. The wire 27 may be electrically insulated.

In one example, the wire is made of NiCr alloy and insulated by being coated with PTFE and in another example the wire is enameled copper-nickel alloy.

The support 28 may be chosen from conductive metals such as aluminum, steel or a copper-based alloy.

The wire 27 may form turns which may be contiguous or not.

In one example, the wire 27 is not insulated and the support 28 associated with such a heating wire 27 is then made of a non-conductive electrical material, for example a ceramic, a silicone or other heat-resistant plastic material.

The use for making the support 28 of a low-adhesion ceramic can make it possible to remove the cosmetic product P applied to the heating surface relatively easily when the heating member has cooled down.

The support 28 is in the example of the figure 7 a hollow cylinder having, for example, an outside diameter of 4 mm, an inside diameter of 3 mm and a length of 25 mm. This hollow cylinder defines a non-visible internal housing in which is disposed the wire 27, which is for example a spiral NiCr alloy wire, having a diameter of 0.17 mm and a length of 150 mm.

Lorsque le support 28 est réalisé en un matériau non conducteur électrique, notamment en céramique, le support 28 peut être surmoulé sur le fil chauffant 27.When the support 28 is made of an electrically nonconductive material, in particular ceramic, the support 28 may be overmolded on the heating wire 27.

Le fil 27 est bobiné à travers les trous 30.In the example of the figure 8 , the support 28 is a cylinder having a plurality of through holes 30, these holes extending along the longitudinal axis of the support 28. The cylinder is in the example of the figure 10 pierced by four holes 30. The wire 27 is wound through the holes 30.

Le fil 27 est bobiné autour du corps cylindrique 28a.We have shown figure 10 a support 28 in the form of a pin, comprising a solid cylindrical body 28a surmounted by a thin head 28b. The wire 27 is wound around the cylindrical body 28a.

En variante, le corps cylindrique 28a est creux.Alternatively, the cylindrical body 28a is hollow.

On the figure 11 , the support 28 is a thin disc, the wire 27 being wound inside holes through this disc in its thickness.

Dans la variante représentée à la figure 12, le fil 27 comporte un enroulement hélicoïdal partiellement noyé dans l'épaisseur du support 28.In the variant shown in figure 12 , the wire 27 has a helical winding partially embedded in the thickness of the support 28.

On the Figures 13 to 17 the support 28 is in the form of a plate. This plate may comprise a plurality of grooves 29 in its thickness where the wire 27 passes, as illustrated in FIG. figure 15 .

In this example, the support 28 has for example a length of 25mm, a width of 4mm, a height of 3mm and has five grooves having a width of 0.5mm.

In the example of Figures 16 and 17 , the support 28 is in the form of a plate devoid of grooves, having for example a length of 25 mm, a width of 3 mm and a height of 0.5 mm.

The support 28 may comprise two holes 32 and 33 respectively serving as the point of arrival and starting point of the wire 27.

The wire can be wound longitudinally, as shown in Figures 14 or 17 , or transversely, as shown in Figures 13 and 16 .

The heating member may be realized otherwise.

In an alternative embodiment of the invention, corresponding to another aspect thereof, the user can himself control the supercharging of the heating member, regardless of its placement on the container.

The expression "comprising one" must be understood as "containing at least one" unless the opposite is specified.
