Abstract

A hearing aid should be able to be used in a purposeful manner, without it having to be used soundly and therefore with skin contact as a whole or its hearing module to avoid acoustic feedback to the microphone of the system or for acoustic decoupling in the ear canal, but worn in front of the entrance of the ear canal can be.

Figure imgaf001
The hearing aid (1) uses for this purpose the effect of the formation of combination sounds of two different tones within the ear itself due to the transmission system shown by this with non-linear transmission characteristics, of which tones the difference tone, ie the sound with the difference frequency, the strongest occurs. For this purpose, the sound signals recorded by the microphone (2) of the hearing aid (1) at the location (3) and converted into electrical signals are transposed into a frequency range above the audibility range by means of a carrier frequency in accordance with a hearing aid wearer's hearing deficit with the carrier frequency oscillation after the conversion by the sound emitter located at another location (4) into acoustic signals (6 ") supplied to the ear, in which the transposition is canceled again by the effect of difference tone formation, and so again the sound signal processed according to the application audible frequency range is available.
