Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung betrifft ein Verfahren zum Betreiben eines Beleuchtungssystems, welches eine elektrische Lampe und ein elektronisches Vorschaltgerät aufweist, wobei der Betrieb der elektrischen Lampe durch das elektronische Vorschaltgerät eingestellt wird, wobei ein eine Umgebungstemperatur der elektrischen Lampe charakterisierender Messvorgang durchgeführt wird, wobei bei dem Messvorgang zumindest ein Messwert erzeugt wird, welcher mit einem Schwellwert verglichen wird und bei einem Abweichen des Messwerts vom Schwellwert eine elektrische Leistung der elektrischen Lampe verändert wird.
