Definitions
- the invention relates to a watch case according to the preamble of claim 1.
- a housing of this type has a peripheral wall which is surrounded by a decorative element along at least part of its circumference.
- a surrounding the housing wall decorative element between a cover part and a bottom part of the housing is clamped.
- both the cover part and the bottom part made of solid material such as steel is precisely manufactured, which is relatively expensive.
- An object of the invention is to provide a stable, the secure attachment of the decorative element guaranteeing watch case of the type mentioned, which can be produced with less effort.
- FIG. 1 only partially illustrated wristwatch has a watch case 1 with a housing cover 2, a housing bottom 3 and a circumferential between the housing cover and the housing bottom housing wall 4.
- the housing cover consists of a watch glass 5 and a surrounding the watch glass bezel 6.
- the housing is essentially in two parts: It consists of a cover part 7, which includes the housing cover 2 and a bottom part 8, which includes the housing bottom 3.
- the housing wall 4 is formed by a wall portion 9 of the cover part 7 and a wall portion 10 of the bottom part 8.
- This two-part housing construction allows a particularly simple production.
- the watch case could also consist of more than two parts and in particular between the cover part 7 and the bottom part 8 additionally have a central part.
- the housing wall 4 is surrounded by an annular gemstone 11 along its entire circumference. Instead of this gemstone but could also be used another decorative element. It would also be possible for the housing wall 4 to be surrounded by a decorative element 11 over only part of its circumference, or to have several decorative elements arranged side by side along its circumference.
- the cover part 7 is connected by two on opposite sides of the housing wall at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock, the decorative element 11 encompassing connecting bridges 12 connected to the bottom part 8.
- the first of these connection bridges 12 is in FIG. 1 to see.
- the decorative element 11 is held securely between the housing wall 4 and the connecting bridges 12 and the latter at the same time protect it from external mechanical effects, so that even a delicate decorative element 11, for example one of brittle, easily breaking or made of soft, easily scratchable material can be used well.
- the connecting bridges 12 connect the edge of the housing cover 2 with the edge of the housing bottom 3. They make the housing to a stable, closed unit, in which the decorative element 11 is integrated.
- a connecting bridge 12 are provided on the means 18 for attaching a bracelet end, hereinafter referred to as a mounting bridge.
- the connecting bridge 12 for attaching the bracelet 20 has a perpendicular to in FIG. 1 with AA designated center plane 6 o'clock - 12 o'clock of the housing running passage on. A corresponding passage at the bracelet end is aligned thereon, and a connecting pin 18 passing through these passages connects the bracelet end to the connecting bridge 12.
- connecting bridges 12 distributed over the circumference of the housing wall 4 could also be provided.
- the connecting bridges 12 independent, arranged on the bottom part 8 and there in particular at the bottom edge fastening means.
- the case by the outgoing of the bracelet 20 forces more heavily loaded housing bottom 3 is stabilized by the connecting bridges 12, wherein this effect of the connection bridges 12 depends on their proximity to the attachment points of the bracelet 20. Therefore, connecting bridges 12 are preferably arranged in the area of said fastening means, as a rule in the Positions 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock. If the fastening means are provided on the connection bridges 12, then it is, as already stated, attachment bridges.
- the connecting bridges 12 are formed by two connecting elements 16 extending from the cover part 7 and extending over the decorative element 11 (of which in FIG. 1 only one is visible) and an outgoing from the bottom part 8, under the decorative element 11 extending connecting element 17 is formed.
- These connecting elements 12 extend from the edge of the housing cover 7 or the housing bottom 8 with respect to the pointer axis 19 (or an axis perpendicular to the display plane of the clock axis in a similar manner without a pointer) substantially radially outward.
- the end regions of the cover-side and the bottom-side connecting elements 16, 17 of a connecting bridge are laterally overlapping with the housing closed and have mutually aligned passages, which are interconnected by a connecting pin 18 passing through them. This pin also serves to attach a bracelet end 20, as already described above.
- connection bridge 12 of this type generally comprises at least one connecting element extending from the cover part and extending beyond the ornamental element and extending from below at least one connecting element extending below the ornamental element and forming the decorative element 11 encompassing connecting bridge 12 are connected.
- the ends of the top-side and bottom-side connecting elements 16, 17 with each other connected are connected.
- the cover and bottom-side connecting elements 16, 17 by a latching when closing the housing snap closure or other form-locking connection means with each other connect to.
- Means for fastening a bracelet end 20, in particular passages for a connecting pin 18, can then be provided separately in the region of the covering or bottom-side connecting elements 12.
- the cover-side and bottom-side connecting elements 12 are connected to each other with respect to the clock axis 19 radially outside the decorative element 11:
- the axis of the connecting pin 18 is located by a distance d outside of the radially outermost in the region of this pin 18 point of the decorative element. This results in a favorable distribution of the forces on the cover part 7 and the bottom part 8.
- the entire connection region of the cover-side and bottom-side connecting elements is radially outside the decorative element, so that the housing can be closed easily.
- this connection region is the region x in which the connection elements 16, 17 overlap laterally.
- the connecting elements 16, 17 are firmly connected to the cover part 7 and the bottom part 8, so that when closing the housing only their ends to connect with each other are.
- the cover-side and / or the bottom-side connecting elements 16, 17 are preferably produced in one piece with the cover part 7 or with the bottom part 8. Thus, the cover part and / or the bottom part can be injected together with the respective connecting elements made of plastic.
- the housing wall 4 also serves to firmly connect the housing cover 2 and the housing bottom 3.
- the connection is formed by engaging regions of the cover part 7 and the bottom part 8.
- Both the cover part 7 and the bottom part 8 have a circumferential wall section 9, 10 and these are pushed together with the housing closed and connected to each other:
- the wall portion 10 of the bottom part has a circumferential groove 13 into which a corresponding bead 14 is engaged on the wall portion 9 of the cover part 7 when the housing is closed.
- the cover part 7 could also have the circumferential groove and the bottom part 8 could be provided with a bead corresponding thereto, or another positive and / or non-positive connection could be provided.
- the circumferential groove 13 includes an elastic sealing ring 15, so that the connection of the cover part 7 and bottom part 8 is waterproof.
- the wall portion 10 of the bottom part lies within the wall portion 9 of the cover part.
- the clock has a dial 21 whose edge is held between a circumferential, radially inwardly directed projection of the cover-side wall portion 9 and the end face of the bottom-side wall portion 10.
- the wall portion 10 of the bottom part 8 protrudes relatively far into the wall portion 9 of the cover part 7, which at the same time ensures a secure connection of the two wall sections 9, 10.
- the two wall sections are dimensioned so that they are at overlap closed housing over at least half the height of the housing wall 4.
- the movement 22 is fixed in the bottom part 8 of the watch case.
- the necessary for an electric clock battery can also be arranged in the bottom part 8.
- An accessible by a removable cap 23 in the housing base 3 battery compartment allows the user, if necessary, even change the battery.
- Means for adjusting the time are also arranged on the housing bottom 3, in this example in the form of an outgoing through the housing bottom 3 control shaft 24th
- each a mounting bracket 12 is provided on each side of the housing, at 6 o'clock and 12 o'clock. Each of these is formed by a central, radially outgoing from the bottom part connecting element 17 and two outer, tangentially from the bezel 6 of the cover part 7 outgoing connecting elements 16.
- the ends of the two cover-side connecting elements 16 immediately surround the end of the connecting element 17 extending from the bottom part.
- These extensions 25, like the ends of the connecting elements 16, 17 situated between them, have passageways and are connected to the latter by a pin 18. At least the passages of the middle elements are preferably continuous, so that a single pin is sufficient for the connection.
- the connecting bridges 12 are dimensioned such that they form as firm a connection as possible between the cover part 7 and the bottom part 8.
- the cover-side connecting elements 16 should at least in the area of Decorative element 11 also not be too wide, so this remains as visible as possible.
- the cover-side connecting elements are preferably dimensioned so that their width in the region of the decorative element 11, ie the width over which they cover the decorative element, is between 1.5 mm and 5 mm.
- the thickness of the connecting elements should be as low as possible, if a flat as possible housing is desired.
- the connecting elements 16 preferably still have a thickness c of at least 1 mm.
- the minimum width and thickness of the bottom-side connecting element 17 is preferably at least equal to said minimum width and thickness of a cover-side connecting element 16, but in particular its width may also be substantially greater.
- a wider, plate-shaped connecting element may be provided, the width of which, for example, substantially corresponds to the width of the bracelet 20.
- the bottom-side connecting element 17 could be formed by a over the entire circumference of the housing radially beyond the outer dimension of the housing wall 4 also extended housing bottom. In the context of this application, this is also a connecting element 17 extending radially outwards from the edge of the housing bottom.

The
As an alternative to the embodiment shown, more than two connecting
The cover-side and bottom-
The
In addition to the connecting
The
The connecting bridges 12 are dimensioned such that they form as firm a connection as possible between the
The minimum width and thickness of the bottom-
