Dabei bestand allerdings bislang das Problem, daß im Bereich des Scherkopfes der Bauraum sehr begrenzt ist und daher dort keine Lampe angeordnet werden konnte, die über eine ausreichende Leistungsfähigkeit verfügt. Eine Lösung dieses Problems ist aus der DE-OS 21 17 663 bekannt. Dort ist ein Rasiergerät mit einer Beleuchtungsvorrichtung zum Anleuchten der zu rasierenden Hautoberfläche offenbart. Die Beleuchtungsvorrichtung besteht aus einer am oder im Gerätegehäuse fest oder verschiebbar angeordneten elektrischen Lichtquelle und wenigstens einem Körper aus durchsichtigem Material. Ein Ende des Körpers ist der Lichtquelle zugekehrt und das andere am oder im Scherkopf angeordnet. Fig. 1 zeigt ein Ausführungsbeispiel eines erfindungsgemäß ausgebildeten Epilationsgeräts 1 in Vorderansicht. Das Epilationsgerät 1 weist ein Gehäuse 2 und einen abnehmbar am Gehäuse 2 befestigten Epilationskopf 3 auf. Das Gehäuse 2 ist so geformt, daß es bequem in der Hand gehalten werden kann. Am Gehäuse 2 ist ein Schalter 4 zum Ein- und Ausschalten des Epilationsgeräts 1 angeordnet. In den Schalter 4 ist eine Leuchtdiode 5 mit einer aufgesetzten Linse 6 integriert. Bevorzugt wird eine Leuchtdiode 5 eingesetzt, die weißes Licht emittiert. Im Epilationskopf 3 ist ein Drehzylinder 7 drehbar aufgehängt, der mehrere Klemmeinrichtungen 8 zum Auszupfen von Haaren aufweist. Durch die Vertiefungen 14 und ein Rastelement 15, das wahlweise in eine der drei Vertiefungen 14 einrastet und dadurch den Schalter 4 arretiert, werden drei Schaltpositionen definiert. Diese Schaltpositionen entsprechen einem ausgeschalteten Zustand bzw. einem ersten oder zweiten Betriebszustand des Epilationsgeräts 1.
