Abstract

The glass wall, and preferably as a fire barrier structure, is composed of glass panels (S1,S2) which butt together at their side edges. The butting edges have a longitudinal groove (7), to take an insert (6) between them as a joint (12). The insert is a metal or asbestos rod or wire.

Description

The invention relates to a glass wall, preferably fire-retardant Glass wall, with several glass elements forming a front with a front and a back, the glass elements on at least two faces by at least a holding device can be held and each glass element has at least one glass pane.

A similar glass wall by the applicant is known under the Name Sicuroflam, type G30. Such glass walls serve, for example as fire resistance glass of the fire protection class G30, which thanks to the space-sealing function, the spread Prevent fire and smoke for at least 30 minutes should. In this known version of a glass wall the individual glass elements of the glass wall on a frame construction put on and through wide flanges connected to the frame construction. This embodiment is, for example, also in the European patent application the applicant EP 1 143 097 A1.

Furthermore, DE 199 33 400 C1 is a fire retardant Glass wall revealed. In Figure 1 is a section through a Detail of such a fire-retardant glass wall shown. Two glass panes 3 and 4, through a (hollow) profile 5 be spaced, form a glass element of such a fire retardant Glass wall. About the H-shaped one shown in Figure 2 Fastener by twisting into the cavities two adjacent (hollow) profiles 5 can then engage two such glass elements at least part of a fire retardant Glass wall to be connected. The disadvantage of this Connection method is that the connection element is only through Additional tool can be attached.

A problem with such glass walls is that due to the fastening devices for the individual glass elements, each of which completely encompasses and is not transparent are the aesthetic impression of such a glass wall is disturbed.

In the two patent applications DE 195 42 040 A1 and DE 101 11 859 A1 and the utility model DE 201 09 000 U1 are also Glass walls revealed that in terms of aesthetics and the adaptability of the connecting elements improved are executed. So one part of all these glass walls is effective the connecting element into a groove of a glass element, to prevent the glass elements from being offset. The further part of these connecting elements occurs between two Glass elements on the front and / or back of the glass elements to day. The disadvantage of these glass walls shown is that part of the connecting element that is on the front and / or the back of the glass elements occurs, for a possibly fire is a sufficient target offers a quick destruction of the connecting element allows and penetration of fire from the outside in the interior of a glass wall or in the opposite direction cannot prevent. These glass walls can not as fire-retardant glass walls can be used.

It is therefore an object of the invention to provide a constructive solution for such a glass wall, preferably for a fire retardant Glass wall, made from a variety of individual glass elements find that at least a substantial part of the opaque Connection and fastening devices of the Glass elements can do without, however, the stability and also limit the fire protection ability of the glass wall.

This object is achieved through the features of the independent claims solved. Advantages of the development of the invention are the subject of the subordinate claims.

Accordingly, the inventor proposes the known one Glass wall, preferably fire-retardant glass wall, which several, glass elements forming a glass front with a front and has a back, the glass elements each on at least two end faces by at least one holding device be held and each glass element at least has a glass pane to improve in that at least two adjacent glass elements on the adjacent ones At least one end face on at least one pane of glass Have a longitudinal groove into which a groove insert is inserted, which is arranged exclusively in the longitudinal groove and the one Offset of the glass elements in the perpendicular direction to the glass pane prevented.

By using such a "tongue and groove connection" between the glass elements that are much more delicate than the known connections can be designed becomes the aesthetic impression of a continuous glass wall much less disturbed. The advantage here is that in this area also an essentially tight connection is produced between the glass elements, so that a possibly Fire occurring on one side of the glass wall cannot easily penetrate to the other side. The Breakdown of fire or the general effect of thermal bridging is also prevented by the fact that the groove insert in the event of a possible fire or temperature gradients no direct target on the Offers front and / or back of the glass pane. The Groove insert is almost to the outside and inside of the glass wall encapsulated. To create a gap between neighboring ones Being able to fill up glass elements can be in the gap thin spacer elements are inserted on one or both sides, which preferably to prevent heat transfer are spaced from the groove insert. These thin spacers, which are preferably softer than glass, can also for groove insertion tensions in the event of any Record the length of the glass elements.

This tongue and groove connection also prevents between an offset of the glass panes perpendicular to the glass elements their level spread, so that a stabilization between the glass elements is achieved which is essential Allows reduction of holding devices.

According to the invention, the at least one glass pane can either as a simple glass pane or as a laminated glass pane be carried out. The version as a laminated glass pane additionally the advantage of increased break resistance brings itself.

Additional climate insulation should be provided through the glass wall can be reached between two rooms, so the glass wall also designed as a multi-layer insulating glass element , but it is generally sufficient if one of the Glass panes of the insulating glass element on the invention Tongue and groove connection.

For particularly good insulation and additional improvement the tongue and groove connection between the stability the individual glass elements can also be designed in such a way that at least the outer panes of the insulating glass element longitudinal grooves with groove inserts in each case on at least one end face exhibit.

If one of the glass panes or the only glass pane a laminated glass pane of the glass element used in each case is, the longitudinal groove can be designed such that this over all individual panes of the laminated glass pane extends. However, there is another training option also in that the longitudinal groove in a laminated glass pane only over the thickness of a single pane of the entire laminated glass pane extends.

Different, not too hard materials can be used as groove insert are used, for example a metal wire or Metal rod, preferably an aluminum wire or aluminum rod, is used, which does not pose the risk of damage for the glass pane.

Another embodiment of the groove insert can consist in that this as a heat-resistant cord, preferably as Asbestos cord is designed. The use of such a heat-resistant Cord has the advantage that even in In the event of fire, the groove insert does not melt, as is the case, for example in the case of aluminum after too long exposure to heat is possible can occur. However, this is too note that the stability of a heat-resistant cord and the ability to absorb shear forces is not one metal groove insert corresponds.

A compromise can be that the groove insert as a coated metal wire, preferably aluminum wire, is provided, the sheathing preferably from a heat-resistant fabric or other, something softer Material. This creates a direct metal / glass contact prevents and it can also be harder and more fire resistant metals are used without the risk an injury to the glass. Moreover the protective jacket can also compensate for the expansion behavior serve the metal core.

The groove insert should refer to the levels of the end faces of the glass elements, preferably with respect to those through these levels formed gap, be arranged symmetrically. To step For example, due to wind forces that offset the Cause panes of glass perpendicular to their flat spread would, the symmetrical arrangement can uniform force absorption guaranteed by the groove insert become.

With regard to the arrangement of the connection according to the invention between the individual glass elements in a glass wall are proposed the opposite ends of each To provide glass element with groove and groove insert, whereby others Holding devices for the glass elements are used can, which extends over the entire length of a face of a Extend glass element or holding devices be used, which attack the glass element in a punctiform manner.

When using punctiform attacks on the glass element Holding devices, however, become necessary to achieve them a fire retardant effect all areas of impact Glass elements in the glass wall with the invention Tongue and groove connection.

It is also advantageous if the proportions of Groove and groove insert are chosen so that an immediate Touching the glass elements is prevented, making a mutual Damage to the glass elements can be avoided.

Die senkrecht liegenden, inneren Stirnseiten der Glaselemente 1.x sind auf die erfindungsgemäße Weise durch eine Nut/Feder-Verbindung 12 untereinander verbunden, dieses wird durch die gestrichelten Linien dargestellt.FIG. 1 shows an exemplary embodiment of a glass wall 1, which consists of a variety of glass elements 1.1 to 1.N is composed, with the entire glass wall on the edge by a holding device 4, which extends over the entire Extends along the side of the glass wall. In a horizontal position Further inner holding devices run in the direction 3, the individual glass elements on opposite and Fasten horizontal end faces. The vertical lying, inner end faces of the glass elements 1.x are on the inventive method by a tongue and groove connection 12 interconnected, this is indicated by the dashed lines Lines shown.

In the top view of the glass wall 1 there is a detail 5 highlighted, which is shown enlarged in Figure 2. This detail section 5 shows the connection according to the invention between the two glass elements 1.2 and 1.3 that at their butt edge each have a groove 7 into which one Groove insert 6 - here a fireproof cord 6 is inserted, so that an offset perpendicular to the plane of the drawing between the Glass elements 1.2 and 1.3 is prevented.

The section A-A is shown again in section in FIG. This Figure 3 shows the glass sheet S1 and S2 of the two glass elements 1.2 and 1.3 in a cutout, on their Butt joint. Both glass panes S1 and S2 each have one Groove 7, in which a cord 6 is inserted. This Cord 6 prevents these two disks from being offset from one another, so that the fronts are locked flush is and at the same time a fire retardant seal between the glass panes S1 and S2 are created.

The sections corresponding to FIG. 3 are in the figures 4 to 10 repeated, each time different variants the structure of the glass elements are shown. So FIG. 4 shows two glass elements abutting each other, which are designed as simple glass panes S1 and S2 are, both glass panes also having a groove 7, in this time, however, a metal rod 6 as a groove insert is shown.

Figure 5 shows a similar situation, but the two glass elements designed as laminated glass panes. each Single pane S.1.1 to S.2.2 of the two laminated glass panes have a groove 7 in the middle of the end face into which as an example in the upper part disc as a groove insert 6 Aluminum rod is shown while in the lower index plate an asbestos cord is shown as a groove insert. Such a combination is particularly suitable if of them it can be assumed that fire retardancy, especially from the Side of the asbestos cord, should be effected since this side is particularly fire-resistant, while on the other hand on the Back with the inserted aluminum rod 6 a special secure offset protection is effected. At the same time, however a possible melting of this aluminum rod 6 effectively through the upstream asbestos cord 6 prevented.

A similar structure is shown in Figure 6, wherein however, double glazing is used in which between the slices S1.1 and S1.2, corresponding to S2.1 and S2.2, a seal 8 with spacer 9 is introduced which forms an insulating volume between the dividing disks. The tongue and groove situation corresponds to that from FIG. 5 corresponding result.

Hier kann bereits bei der Herstellung der Verbundglasscheibe vor der Verbindung der beiden Teilscheiben eine Phase an den Rändern der Teilscheibe angebracht werden, so dass nach deren Zusammenlegung und Verbindung eine entsprechende Nut entstehen kann.FIG. 7 shows a situation similar to that in FIG. 4 shown, but there are two abutting Glass elements here made of laminated glass elements, with a such design, in which the groove spans between the partial panes of the laminated glass panes, especially is easy to manufacture. This can already be done during production the laminated glass pane before connecting the two Partial discs a phase attached to the edges of the partial disc so that after merging and connecting them a corresponding groove can arise.

Jedoch sollten die Größenverhältnisse von Nut 7 und Nuteinlage 6 so gewählt sein, dass eine unmittelbare Berührung der Glasscheiben S1.3 und S1.4 verhindert wird.FIG. 8 again shows a situation similar to that in FIG 6, the one pane of the double glazing in addition is designed as a laminated glass pane. Of course can be any combination or multilayer Insulating glazing can be used here are also covered by the idea of the invention. On the lower two glass panes S1.3 and S1.4 of FIG. 8 it is clear that the groove insert 6 is approximately twice Cross-sectional area of a groove, i.e. approximately one area, which is twice the area of the groove width 7.b times the groove depth 7.t corresponds. However, the proportions of Groove 7 and groove insert 6 should be selected so that an immediate Touching the glass panes S1.3 and S1.4 is prevented.

FIG. 9 again shows the connection situation between two laminated glass panes in accordance with FIG. 7, but in this case a coated aluminum wire 6 has been used as the groove insert. The casing is identified by reference number 10. Such a design of the groove insert again represents a compromise between a pure metal groove insert and a pure groove insert made of refractory fabric, whereby the sheathing made of refractory material on the one hand brings about a better stability of the metal insert against the effect of heat, and on the other hand through the increased strength of the metal core in the groove insert additionally improves the stability of the connection between the glass elements.
FIG. 10 shows a further embodiment variant of the connection of two glass elements according to the invention through the tongue and groove situation, the groove being milled here only on one side of the two laminated glass panes.

As already explained above, the glass facade can be adjusted accordingly the division in Figure 1 can be realized, however there is also the possibility of the individual glass elements at least in part by connecting devices which act in a punctiform manner 11 to wear, with respect to the punctiform Fastening glass panes and also insulating glass panes in particular to patent application EP 1 143 099 A1 the applicant or EP 1 143 098 A1. Also in the as yet unpublished German patent application the applicant with official file number DE 102 16 425.8 shown point-shaped holder of glass elements can can be used according to the invention.

Die gestrichelten Linien stellen jeweils die erfindungsgemäße Verbindung der Glaselemente mit der Nut/Feder-Verbindung dar.FIG. 11 shows a variant with a circumferential longitudinal one Attachment and punctiform interior attachment while 12 shows a purely punctiform attachment of the Glass elements of the glass wall. The dashed lines each represent the connection of the glass elements according to the invention with the tongue and groove connection.

Hierdurch kann eine V-förmige Nut 7 eingebracht werden, die dann günstigerweise mit einem rechteckförmigen Metallstab als Nuteinlage 6 versehen wird.FIGS. 13 to 16 also show a sectional view Glass panes S1 and S2 shown on one end Grooves and groove inserts with different cross-sectional shapes exhibit. In particular with the one shown in FIG. 14 Laminated glass is a good choice, the groove 7 by chamfering of the individual disks S1.1 and S1.2 in the area of Establish glass junction. This allows a V-shaped Groove 7 are introduced, which then conveniently with provided a rectangular metal rod as a groove insert 6 becomes.

It is understood that the above features of Invention not only in the specified combination, but also in other combinations or alone can be used without departing from the scope of the invention.
