  5. Motor vehicle door lock according to one of Claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the remote force transmission means (11), in particular the core (11') of the Bowden cable, is releasably connected to the lock latch (1) outside the closed position or main latching position.
  6. Motor vehicle door lock according to Claim 5, characterized in that the lock latch (1) has an intercepting element (53), in particular in the form of the end of a spring element (54) which is mounted on the lock latch (1) and intercepts and carries along the end of the remote force transmission means (11), in particular the end of the core (11') of the Bowden cable, before the closed position or main latching position is reached.
  7. Motor vehicle door lock according to one of Claims 1 to 6, characterized in that the closing unit (3) has an adjustable transmission element (60),
    in that the transmission element (60) is connected to the remote force transmission means (11), in particular to the core (11') of the Bowden cable,
    in that the remote force transmission means (11), in particular the core (11') of the Bowden cable, is connected, at least in the closed position or the main latching position of the lock latch (1), via the transmission element (60) to the lock latch (1) and can be adjusted by the latter in the second direction,
    in that the transmission element (60) has an adjustable intermediate element (61) with a bearing surface (62),
    in that the intermediate element (61) can be brought by the adjustment of the transmission element (60) in the first direction via its bearing surface (62) to bear against a bearing surface (63) of the closing element (2) and the closing element (2) can therefore be actuated,
    in that the adjustment of the intermediate element (61) on the transmission element (60) enables the distance of the bearing surface (62) of the intermediate element (61) from the bearing surface (63) of the closing element (2) to be set,
    in that the lock latch (1) and the intermediate element (61) are coupled in terms of movement,
    and in that by means of the movement coupling the adjustment of the lock latch (1) from the prelatching position into the closed position or into the main latching position causes an adjustment of the intermediate element (61) in such a manner that the bearing surface (62) of the intermediate element (61) comes to bear against the bearing surface (63) of the closing element (2) at least when the closed position or the main latching position is reached.
  8. Motor vehicle door lock according to Claim 7, characterized in that the transmission-effective length between the transmission element (60) and closing element (2) can be set by the adjustment of the intermediate element (61).
  9. Motor vehicle door lock according to Claim 7 or 8, characterized in that the lock latch (1) has a control edge (64), in that the intermediate element (61) has an engagement element (65), preferably a pin, and in that the movement coupling between the lock latch (1) and intermediate element (61) is brought about by the engagement element (65) bearing against the control edge (64).
  10. Motor vehicle door lock according to one of Claims 7 to 9, characterized in that the intermediate element (61) is designed as a lever which can be pivoted about an axis (66) on the transmission element (60), and in that the bearing surface (62) of the intermediate element (61) is arranged on the lever in such a manner that the distance of the bearing surface (62) of the intermediate element (61) from the bearing surface (63) of the closing element (2) can be set by the pivoting of the lever.
  11. Motor vehicle door lock according to one of Claims 7 to 10, characterized in that the bearing surface (62) of the intermediate element (61) is formed by a wedge- or step-shaped element (67) arranged on the intermediate element (61).
  12. Motor vehicle door lock according to one of Claims 7 to 11, characterized in that a limiting arrangement (68, 69) is provided on the transmission element (60) and/or on the intermediate element (61) and limits the adjusting movement of the intermediate element (61) relative to the transmission element (60).
  13. Motor vehicle door lock according to one of Claims 7 to 12, characterized in that a driver (71) which can be pivoted about an axis (70) is provided for the coupling between the lock latch (1) and the transmission element (60), in that the driver (71) is coupled to the transmission element (60) via a spring (72), in that the lock latch (1) can be brought into engagement with the driver (71) in such a manner that, when the lock latch (1) is adjusted from the prelatching position into the closed position or into the main latching position, the driver (71) is pivoted and, as a result, an actuating force is exerted via the spring (72) in the second direction on the transmission element (60).
  14. Motor vehicle door lock according to Claim 13, characterized in that the intermediate element (61) has a formation (75), and in that the driver (71), with the lock latch (1) in the prelatching or in the open position, engages in the formation (75) in such a manner that the intermediate element (61), preferably in conjunction with the limiting arrangement (68, 69), is fixed in a predetermined basic position.
  15. Motor vehicle door lock according to one of Claims 7 to 14, characterized in that the transmission element (60) can be displaced longitudinally.
  16. Motor vehicle door lock according to one of Claims 7 to 15, characterized in that a spring (76) is provided for fixing the transmission element (60) in a determined basic position, and in that the transmission element (60) can be deflected in the first and the second direction counter to the restoring force of the spring (76).
