Da aber der Durchmesser der Bremswalze 36 größer ist als der Durchmesser der Vorschubwalze 56, "zieht" die Bremswalze 36 die Trägermaterialbahn stärker als die Vorschubwalze 56 diese schiebt, wodurch eine Schlaufenbildung durch die die Trägermaterialbahn T ansonsten allein schiebenden Vorschubeinheit 50 vermieden wird. Claims (9)

  1. Device for tensioning a flat material web which is to be conveyed, in particular in a printing and dispensing device for labels, comprising:
    drive means (10) for advancing and retracting the flat material web (T), and
    at least one feed unit (50), which can be driven by the drive means (10), and at least one brake unit (30) with at least one braking roller (36), which is in contact with the material web (T),
    characterised in that the drive means (10) are also connected in drive terms to the brake unit (30), and that the braking roller (36) of the brake unit (30) is uncoupled from the drive motor (12) when the material web (T) is conveyed in the feed direction (V) of the material web (T).
  2. Device according to Claim 1,
    characterised in that the diameter of the braking roller (36) is greater than the diameter of a feed roller (56) of the feed unit (50), and that a free-wheel (40) is provided between the braking roller (36) and the drive motor (12), which free-wheel uncouples the drive connection between the drive motor (12) and the braking roller (36) when the material web (T) is conveyed in the feed direction (V).
  3. Device according to Claim 1 or 2,
    characterised in that the braking roller (36) comprises a braking device (42) which is preferably adjustable and which preferably comprises a brake disc (42a) and a compression spring (42b) .
  4. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 3,
    characterised in that the material web (T) can be pressed onto the braking roller (36) and/or a feed roller (56) of the feed unit by means of at least one pressure device (44, 58) in each case.
  5. Device according to any one of Claims 1 to 4,
    characterised in that the drive motor (12) drives the brake unit (30) and the feed unit (50) via a toothed belt (14).
  6. Method for tensioning a flat material web which is to be conveyed, in particular in a printing and dispensing device for labels, wherein the material web (T) is guided via at least one brake unit (30) with at least one braking roller (36) and at least one feed unit (50), which can be driven by drive means (10) in a feed and retraction direction of the material web,
    characterised in that the drive means (10) are connected in drive terms to the brake unit (30), and that the braking roller (36) of the brake unit is uncoupled from the drive motor (12) when the material web (T) is conveyed in the feed direction of the material web (T) .
  7. Method according to Claim 6,
    characterised in that the uncoupling of the braking roller from the drive motor is automatically carried out in accordance with the direction in which the material web is conveyed.
  8. Method according to Claim 6 or 7,
    characterised in that a braking force, which is preferably adjustable, is exerted on the braking roller by a braking device (42).
  9. Method according to any one of Claims 6 to 8,
    characterised in that the material web is pressed onto the braking roller and/or the feed roller.
