Zur Lösung dieser Aufgabe besteht das erfindungsgemäße Verfahren im wesentlichen darin, daß die portable drahtlose Telekommunikationseinrichtung (PCD), beispielsweise ein Cellular-Telefon, bei einem Telekommunikationsdienstanbieter (CP) für den Zusatzdienst registriert wird, daß vom PCD lediglich die gewünschte Parkdauer an den CP übermittelt und vom CP mit einem Zeitstempel registriert wird und daß über einen vereinbarten Kontroll-Code an gesonderte Kontroll-PCD's nach Eingabe eines am Fahrzeug angebrachten lesbaren Codes, wie z.B. eines polizeilichen Kennzeichens, eine Information über den Status "bezahlt" oder "nicht bezahlt" ausgegeben wird. Dadurch, daß als zentrale Systemeinheit ein Zusatzdienst des ohnedies vorhandenen Telekommunikationsdienstanbieters (Communication providers, CP) herangezogen wird, kann auf eine gesonderte Identifikation verzichtet werden, da ein Communication provider prinzipiell über die erforderliche Identifikation und Kontrolle der berechtigten Benützung der drahtlosen Kommunikationseinrichtung verfügt. Es ist somit lediglich erforderlich beim CP einen Zusatzdienst einzurichten, welcher aufgrund der Infrastruktur des CP's automatisch bereits in der Lage ist die jeweils sendende portable drahtlose Telekommunikationseinrichtung zu identifizieren und darüberhinaus in aller Regel aus Gründen der Abrechnung von Gesprächen über die Dienste des Communication providers auch automatisch jeweils einen Zeitstempel bei Beginn einer Übertragung zur Verfügung stellt.
