Description

The present invention relates to a bucket for collecting and transport of a load of household waste type.

It relates more particularly to a bucket for the collection and transport of waste, in particular associated with a vehicle or a trailer and which is fitted with a compacting device said waste so as to reduce the latter and load a maximum waste in minimum volume.

We already know, especially by the French patent application FR-A-2 759 989 filed on February 25, 1997 by the present applicant, in which a bucket of the type described above is described which is provided with a mobile gland shield under the action a cylinder intended to compact the waste, the latter being provided in its upper part of a shutter composed of a beam transverse integral with two parallel arms pivoting under the action a jack so as to compress the waste towards the bottom.

This type of compacting device is satisfactory; however for light waste, for example of the type plastic, it turns out that the latter, notably during the phases of loading of waste, previously collected in containers, in the bucket or during compaction, fly away from the bucket thus causing the operator to manually pick up all this waste evacuated.

The object of the present invention is to remedy the drawback mentioned above.

To this end, the present invention relates to a bucket for the collection and transport of a load of household waste type, consisting of a bottom, two side walls, a front wall, a rear door forming a receptacle, and a roof covering the major rear part of said receptacle so as to provide a opening in the front part of the bucket for loading the load, said bucket being provided with a substantially vertical wall movable in the bottom thereof by the action of a jack, characterized in that it comprises a device for compacting the charge in direction in particular of the bottom which consists of a first part articulated around a transverse axis located in the upper part of said movable vertical wall and a second flap articulated around a transverse axis located at the upstream end of the roof to the right of the opening, these flaps being able to pivot about their axis respective between a first opening position for loading load and a second closing position for the compacting of said load under the respective action of at least one cylinder, and in that said flaps are shaped so that in open position these form a hopper for the load loading.

FIG. 1 shows a road vehicle 1 for the waste collection, for example of the plastic bottle type, which, in known manner, comprises a chassis 2, a front cabin 3 of driving, 4 wheels driven by a motor to allow its displacement.

The chassis 2 carries at the rear, in a known manner, a bucket 5 consisting of a bottom 6, two side walls 7, a front wall 8, a rear door 9 together forming a receptacle, and a roof 10 covering the major rear part of said receptacle, as visible more clearly in FIG. 1, so as to provide a opening 11 in the front part of the bucket 5 for loading waste or charge.

The bucket 5 is arranged on a cradle 12 and articulated in its rear part thereof, around a transverse axis 13, so as to allow the tilting of the bucket 5 around this axis 13 under the action of a jack 14, during the emptying phases of the bucket.

The cradle 12 is held on the chassis 2 via a fitting 15 which will be described in more detail below. description.

This chassis 2 also comprises, in a known manner, between the cabin 3 and the bucket 5 a lifting means 16, of the crane type, different containers 17 or waste collection column.

The bucket 5 is provided with a substantially vertical wall 18, designated in the following description, the gland shield, which is movable in the bottom 6 thereof under the action of the jack 14. This gland shield 18 is extended longitudinally towards the door rear 9, in its lower part symmetrically with respect to a median longitudinal axis through a tunnel 19 in which is housed the cylinder 14, as more clearly visible in FIG. 1. The cylinder 14 is, conventionally, constituted by a body 20 fixed to one of these ends around a joint 21 secured to the cradle 12 and a rod 22, the free end of which is fixed to the tunnel 14.

On notera qu'au droit de ce tunnel 19 en position bouclier fouloir 18 repoussé contre la paroi avant 8, le fond de la benne est muni d'une ouverture 23 de manière à permettre le passage et les débattements du vérin 14.Note that at the right of this tunnel 19 in shield position gland 18 pushed against the front wall 8, the bottom of the bucket is provided with an opening 23 so as to allow passage and cylinder deflections 14.

The downstream end 24 of the tunnel 19, considering FIG. 1, is guided by a beam 25 having for example the general shape of a "I" which is arranged longitudinally along the median axis of said bucket, in the rear part on the bottom of the latter.

Locking means 30 intended to select either the displacement of the gland shield 18 longitudinally in the bucket either a dump, as shown in Figure 7, are arranged at the front of the bucket.

These locking means 30 consist of latches 31, 32 respectively intended to engage in orifices 31a, 32a made in screeds, as shown in Figures 5 and 6, which are movable transversely under the action of a lever control 33 so as to lock either the front of the bucket with the cradle by engaging the latches 31 (Figure 5) or the shield gland 18 with the bucket engaging the locks 32 (Figure 6).

Selon la présente invention, la benne 5 comporte un dispositif de compactage 40 de la charge en direction notamment du fond 6.According to the present invention, the bucket 5 comprises a device compaction 40 of the load in particular towards the bottom 6.

Ce dispositif de compactage 40 est constitué d'un premier volet 41 articulé autour d'un axe transversal 42 situé dans la partie supérieure du bouclier fouloir 18 et d'un second volet 43 articulé autour d'un axe transversal 44 solidaire de l'extrémité amont 45 du toit 10 au droit de l'ouverture 11.This compacting device 40 consists of a first flap 41 articulated around a transverse axis 42 located in the part upper of the gland shield 18 and a second articulated flap 43 around a transverse axis 44 integral with the upstream end 45 of the roof 10 to the right of the opening 11.

These flaps 41 and 43 are able to pivot about their axis 42, 44 respectively between a first open position, as visible in Figure 1, for loading the load and a second closed position (Figures 3 and 4) for compacting said load under the respective action of at least one jack.

Each of these flaps 41, 43 are shaped so that in open position these form a hopper for the loading of the load so as to guide the flow of waste in the bucket.

The first flap 41 advantageously consists of a wall transverse 44 'having one of its ends articulated around the axis 42 and the other of its ends which is folded outwards at an angle of about 30 degrees so as to obtain two faces 50, 51 for compacting the waste, when this flap 41 is in closed position, as shown in figure 4.

This first component 41 is controlled by means of two cylinders 52, 53 arranged longitudinally relative to the bucket. Each of these jacks 52, 53 consists of a body connected to the part upper of the gland shield 18 and a rod connected to the end folded down from the transverse wall 44 '.

Le premier volet 41 est également pourvu au voisinage de l'articulation 42 d'un clapet 60 -ou volet- articulé de façon libre autour d'un axe transversal 60a parallèle à l'axe d'articulation 42.The first flap 41 is also provided in the vicinity of the articulation 42 of a valve 60 -or flap- freely articulated about a transverse axis 60a parallel to the articulation axis 42.

This valve 60 extends vertically towards the bottom of the bucket in the open position of the first flap 41 and is intended for be pushed towards the front of the bucket by the waste so as to obstruct the space 62 formed between the articulation of the flap 41 and the gland shield 18 in order to prevent the waste from being lifted up by said space 62 on the top of the flap during in particular a phase of compaction of its waste.

The second flap 43 comprises a first element 54 constituted a transverse wall and a second element 55 consisting also of a transverse wall articulated around an axis A parallel to the axis 44 of the first element 54 and able to be folded over the latter 54.

This first element 54 is mounted articulated around the axis transverse 44 and is able to move around this axis by by means of two jacks 56 arranged on either side of the grab, as shown in Figure 8, and each having the end of the cylinder body secured to a side wall and the cylinder rod connected to one of the side edges of the first element 54.

Note that the second element is also able to take a first open position relative to the first element 54 and a second closed position in which the first and the second element are folded over each other, as visible on FIGS. 3 and 4, for example by means of cylinders 57 arranged, as visible in FIGS. 1 to 8, between the two elements 54, 55.

The operation of the compacting device of this The invention will now be described in relation to FIGS. 1 to 7.

When collecting waste, by the vehicle shown in figure 1, the operator chooses beforehand according to the size and form of the container which it must unload in the bucket 5, to open the two flaps 41 and 43 at most as visible in Figure 1 or at least leaving the second flap 43 in the closed position and putting in the open position the second element 55 of this second flap 43, as visible in FIG. 2, thus sparing with the first flap 41 a hopper so as to guide the flow of waste in the bottom of the bucket.

Then, via the lifting means 16, the operator lift the container so as to present it to the right of opening 11 of the bucket. The opening of the container can be ordered in bringing, as shown in the embodiment described, a lever 70 secured to said container in contact with the end by example of the first section 41, thus releasing the collected waste in the bucket 5.

The opening of flaps 41, 43 or 41, 55 in the form of a hopper advantageously makes it possible to avoid the dumping of waste outside the grab, the latter being guided and retained by the flaps of compaction.

The container is then placed on the ground, using the lifting 16. The operator via the control lever 33 locks the front of the bucket with the cradle, introducing the latches 31 in the holes 31a, then controls the closing of the compaction flaps, as shown in Figure 3.

A waste compaction cycle to reduce volume of these, is then achieved by controlling the movement of the gland shield 18 by means of the jack 14 by displacements of longitudinal back and forth in said bucket 5. During this displacement the waste comes into contact with the valve 60 thus pushing the latter towards the gland shield 18 and obstructing consequently space 62.

On notera, avantageusement que des galets 71 sont prévus à l'extrémité de la partie rabattue du premier volet 41 de manière à permettre le coulissement de celui-ci sous le second volet 43.Advantageously, it will be noted that rollers 71 are provided at the end of the folded part of the first flap 41 so as to allow it to slide under the second flap 43.

In addition, advantageously, it can be provided at the end opposite of the articulation 44 of the first element 54 of the second flap 43 of the spurs 72 so as to retain the compacted waste.

During this compacting operation, we understand everything the advantage of the shape of the first flap 41 which has two faces compaction 50, 51 thus making it possible to push backwards the skip and towards the bottom 6 the waste.

After the compaction cycle is completed, the gland shield 18 is repositioned in its rest position in contact with the wall front 8 of the bucket 5, as shown in Figure 1.

Cette barre 80 est immobilisée en position transversale au moyen par exemple d'un crochet 100, comme visible à la figure 8.Advantageously, a removable crossbar 80 or articulated around a vertical axis 81 secured to one of the walls side 7 is arranged substantially in the middle part of the bucket 5, so as to limit the return of compacted waste to the front of it, especially for waste such as plastic which have a strong elastic characteristic. This bar 80 is immobilized in transverse position by means of example of a hook 100, as visible in FIG. 8.

When the bucket 5 is filled, the operator can go to a waste treatment area, where he will have to empty the contents of the dumpster.

This operation is carried out by locking the gland shield 18 with the bucket 5 by means of the control lever 33 engaging thus the latches 32 in the holes 32a, as shown in the figure 6.

The operator opens the rear door 9 of the bucket 5 and controls actuation of the jack 14 thus causing the pivoting of the bucket 5 around the axis 13, as visible in FIG. 7.

During this operation, the bar 80 is free to be able to pivot around its axis 81 thus allowing the release of waste, so that in the final phase this bar is found along the wall side 7 of the bucket 5.

There is shown in Figures 9 to 12, a second mode of production of the waste compacting device, in order to simplify the description, identical elements of the first mode will be designated by the same reference numbers.

Unlike the first embodiment, the second component compaction 43 has the general shape of any triangle T in longitudinal section thus defining two transverse walls 84, 85 which meet at a joined end 83 forming the top of the triangle, that is to say the free end of the flap.

The end opposite to the joining end 83 of one of these walls 84 is articulated around the transverse axis 44 while the end of the other wall 85 is connected at least to the rod of at least a cylinder 87.

De préférence, la paroi 85 du second volet 43 est reliée à deux vérins 87 disposés de manière symétrique par rapport à l'axe longitudinal la benne 5, comme représenté sur la figure 12.Preferably, the wall 85 of the second flap 43 is connected to two cylinders 87 arranged symmetrically with respect to the axis longitudinal the bucket 5, as shown in FIG. 12.

Ce second volet 43 est apte à prendre trois positions, respectivement d'ouverture (figure 9), de fermeture (figure 10) et d'ouverture réduite (figure 11).This second flap 43 is able to take three positions, respectively opening (figure 9), closing (figure 10) and reduced opening (figure 11).

The first compaction flap 41 may include perforations 90, shown in Figure 12, allowing the operator control the height of the waste in the bucket 5 or the emptying of the container.

Alternatively, the gland shield 18 includes openings 91 allowing the passage of bars 92 longitudinal fixed on the one hand to the bar 80 and on the other hand to the front wall 8 of the grab through, for example, pins 93. These bars associated with the bar 80 advantageously make it possible to place the container to open it.

In the downstream part of bar 80, considering the figure 10, longitudinal anti-return bars 94 of the waste are connected hinged at one of their ends around an axis transverse 95 secured to the bar 80. These non-return bars 94 are intended to be lifted under the action of the waste introduced, up to their contacts in abutment against the roof.

The check bars 94 can advantageously be replaced by a transverse flap articulated around an axis transverse integral with the side walls 7 of the bucket. This component is thus able to pivot under the action of waste between at least two stops 99, shown in silhouette in FIG. 10, integral with the walls 7.

It will be noted that the jack 14, unlike the first mode of realization can be connected to the bottom 6 of the bucket and arranged substantially horizontally inside the latter as visible in Figure 10.

Avantageusement, selon la variante décrite ci-dessus, un vérin télescopique, non représenté, est disposé sensiblement verticalement entre le fond de la benne et le berceau 12 ou châssis du véhicule de manière à réaliser le basculement de la benne autour de l'axe 13.Advantageously, according to the variant described above, a cylinder telescopic, not shown, is arranged substantially vertically between the bottom of the bucket and the cradle 12 or chassis of the vehicle so as to tilt the bucket around the axis 13.

This embodiment thus makes it possible to move the shield follower 18 in the bucket and consequently of the first flap compaction 41 during a tipping operation or failover.

Cette fixation de la benne 5 permet avantageusement une souplesse tortionnelle de la benne.FIGS. 13 and 14 show a variant of fixing the front of the bucket with the cradle 12, in which the fitting 15 the bucket consists of a pivot joint allowing vertical angular deflections of the bucket at an angle α. This attachment of the bucket 5 advantageously allows flexibility grab torturer.

It will be noted that the locking means 30 are adapted and shaped so as to be fixed on the fitting 15, as visible in Figures 13 and 14, respectively illustrating the locking of the gland shield 18 with the bucket and the locking from the front of the bucket with chassis 2 or cradle 12.

We understand from reading the above description of the two embodiments that the present invention allows to adapt to all kinds of household waste and all types of containers.

In addition, by this waste compacting device according to the present invention, the bucket can accommodate a volume more significant amount of waste, and makes it possible to compact these very quickly, by simple and reliable means.

Of course, the invention is not limited to the modes of which have been described; we could on the contrary conceive various variants without departing from the scope of the invention. This is how, by example, that the bucket can be mounted on a trailer or vehicle.

Tipper for collection and transport of a load of household type waste constituted of a base (6), two side sections (7), a front section (8), a rear door (9) forming a container and a roof (10) covering most of the rear part of the said container with an opening (11) in the front part of the tipper for loading, the said tipper (5) being equipped with a basically vertical moveable section (18) in the base (6) of the latter, activated by a jack (14), characterised in that it incorporates a compacting device (40) for the load, notably towards the base (6) which is constituted of a first flap (41) articulated around a transversal shaft (42) located in the upper part of the said moveable vertical section (18) and a second flap (43) articulated around a transversal shaft (44) located at the front edge (45) of the roof (10) in line with the opening (11), these flaps (41, 43) being capable of pivoting around their respective shafts (42, 44) between an initial opening position for loading and a second closing position for compacting of the load under the respective action of at least one jack (52, 53; 56), and in that the said flaps (41, 43) are formed such that in the opening position they form a hopper for loading.
  2. Tipper, according to claim 1 characterised in that the second flap (43) is constituted of a first element (54) and a second element (55) which can be folded back onto the first element (54), the second element (54) being articulated around the transversal shaft (44) located at the front edge (45) of the roof (10) and a second element (55) is articulated around a shaft (A) parallel to the shaft (44) of the first element (54) which is permanently joined to the free edge of the first element.
  3. Tipper according to claim 1, characterised in that the second flap is in the general form of a triangle (T) in a longitudinal section, thus defining two transversal sections (84, 85) which meet at a joining edge (83) forming the apex of the triangle and in that the edge opposite the joining edge (83) of one of the sections (84) is articulated around a transversal shaft (44) whereas the end of the other section (85) is linked to at least the stem of at least one jack (87).
  4. Tipper according to any of the previous claims characterised in that the first flap (41) is conformed (71) to slide into the closing position of the said flaps (41, 43) under the second flap (43).
  5. Tipper according to any of the claims characterised in that it is equipped with a transversal bar (80) which can be removed or articulated around a vertical shaft (81) which is permanently joined to one of the lateral sections (7) which is located basically in the median section of the tipper so as to limit the return of waste compacted towards the front.
  6. Tipper according to claim 5 characterised in that the moveable vertical section (18) incorporates two openings (91) which allow the passage of longitudinal bars (92) fixed for one part on the bar (80) and the other part on the front section (8) of the tipper through the intermediary, for example, of split pins (93).
  7. Tipper according to claims 5 or 6 characterised in that the longitudinal bars (94) preventing return of waste are linked in articulated manner at one of their ends around a transversal shaft (95) which is permanently joined to the bar (80) located in the rear part of the tipper .
  8. Tipper according to claims 1 to 6 characterised by a transversal flap preventing return of waste is articulated around transversal shafts joined to the lateral sections (7) basically in the median section of the tipper.
  9. Tipper according to any of the previous claims characterised in that the first flap (41) is fitted in the area of the articulation (42) of the said flap (41) with a valve (60) articulated freely around the transversal shaft (60a) parallel to the articulation shaft (42) intended to be pushed towards the front of the tipper by the waste so as to obstruct a space (62) formed between the articulation of the flap (41) and the vertical section (18).
  10. Tipper according to any of the previous claims characterised in that the first flap (41) incorporates perforations (90) intended to allow an operator to control it.
  11. Tipper according to any of the previous claims characterised in that the first flap (41) is equipped with two sides (50, 51) for compacting waste, of which one of the sides (51) is located basically vertically and the other (50) is located basically horizontally in the closing position of the said first flap (41).
  12. Tipper according to any of the previous claims characterised in that a telescopic jack is placed basically vertically between the base (6) of the tipper and a cradle (12) on which the Tipper rests so as to tip the tipper around a transversal shaft (13) located in the rear section of the tipper.
  13. Tipper according to any claims 1 to 10 resting on a cradle (12) or a chassis (2) of a vehicle and being capable of swinging around an articulation (13) permanently joined to the cradle or the chassis located in the rear part by the action of a jack (14) placed between the base (6) and the cradle (12) or the chassis (2) characterised in that locking devices (30) intended to select either displacement of the moveable section (18) longitudinally in the tipper or tipping of the tipper, are located in the front of the tipper (5).
