Description

The present invention relates to a method for Manufacture of folded, bound printed products according to the preamble of claim 1. The invention relates further a folded printed product according to the Preamble of claim 12.

It is known to produce printed products in such a way that their individual pages from an electronic printer printed continuously and these continuous pages then stacked, bound and folded. This electronic printing allows a complete one To produce printed matter after another, two successively produced printed matter have different content and / or page numbers can.

A disadvantage of this method is the fact that the maximum number of pages made in this way, folded Print products is limited. Thick printed matter can be folded very poorly or not at all. In addition, both thick and thin printed matter show a round, bulbous back on what increased space needed and also aesthetically unsatisfied.

A method according to the preamble of claim 1 is known from WO-A-94/29117. A printed product according to the preamble of claim 12 is in US-A-2,551,555 disclosed.

The present invention is based on the object on the one hand, a process of the type mentioned at the beginning create that in the area of the back allows more advantageous printed products, and on the other hand a printed product of the aforementioned Kind of creating that more advantageous in the area of the back is designed.

This problem is solved with a method with the Features of claim 1 or with a folded Printed product with the features of claim 12.

By attaching two in a mutual Distance lines of weakness at the Print products before folding such that the distance between the lines of weakness from the first or innermost up to the last or outermost printed product the printed product produced in this way straight or an at least approximately straight back. A Labeling on the back is always easy to read.

Bevorzugte Weiterausgestaltungen des erfindungsgemässen Verfahrens bilden Gegenstand der abhängigen Ansprüche 2 bis 11.Preferred further developments of the invention Procedures form the subject of dependent claims 2 until 11.

Figure 1 shows the process steps for producing a folded, bound printed product 1 from a Preproduct 2. The one shown in processing step A. Intermediate 2 is printed in as a paper web Delivery direction Z supplied. A not shown electronic printer, for example a laser printer, has continuously printed on the paper web. in the Processing step B is in each case from the preliminary product 2 Cut sheet so that a printed product 3 is formed the printed product 3, for example as a sheet could be designed in A3 format, which is transverse to Direction of conveyance T runs. In the following Processing step C becomes the printed product 3 Example grooved and therefore with one in the conveying direction T provided weakening line 4. in the subsequent processing step D will Print product 3 along the line of weakness 4 below Formation of a fold 5 kinked, so that Printed product 3 has a roof shape. in the Processing step E, the printed products 3 on collected in a saddle-shaped stack. Once everyone is closed a printed product 1 belonging to printed products 3 on the The stack is collected Pass processing step F, which is the stack aligned by belching and then one in the fold 5 or attaches several brackets 6 to the individual To staple or bind printed products 3. in the Method step G becomes the stapled printed product 1 pressed so that the back becomes as narrow as possible. Thereupon, in a further method step H, the Print product 1 on the front 7c and / or along the side 7a, 7b are cut.

Advantageously, the intermediate product 2 is included by the printer individually printed identifier 8, such that each printed product 3 has at least one individual one Mark 8 has. With this indicator 8 can for example the page number or the Sequence of a sequence of pages individually on each Print product 3 are applied. The number 8 can also denote the end of a sequence, for example that with the help of a sensor it can be seen whether all required print products 3 available or are gathered or whether, for example, the Print products 3 can be stapled. Fig. 1 shows for example individual ones provided with an identifier 8 Print products 3. With several, not shown, sensors arranged along the conveying direction T. the processing of each printed product 3 is monitored, and in particular the correct order or a lack of a printed product 3 can be determined. In addition is ascertainable when all required print products 3 in Process step E are gathered and stapling is to be initiated according to method step F. The Mark 8 can by cutting in Process step H are removed.

In a further advantageous method, Method step B, D and / or E also another one, not sheet 3 originating from the preliminary product 2 are fed, this sheet 3 serves, for example, as an envelope. For example, the funding in Process step A stopped and from the outside one or successively several sheets 3 processing step B fed, these sheets 3 in the conveying direction T the downstream processing steps are fed. This sheet 3 can, for example, be punched out Have windows so the text of the one below lying printed product 3 is readable.

The preliminary product 2 can also be in the form in process step A. an unprinted paper web are fed, the Intermediate 2 cut in process step B and the Single sheets are printed so that a printed product 3 is present. In addition, the preliminary product 2 can also be in the form of Single sheets are fed. The intermediate 2 can be made any printable material, in particular also from a plastic.

Dieses eine Schwächungslinie 4 aufweisende Vorprodukt 2 könnte als Rolle oder als ein Stapel von Einzelblättern ausgestaltet sein.1 could also be used in this way be configured so that the preliminary product 2 is already in Conveying direction T has weakening line 4, so that processing step C is dispensed with can. This has a weakening line 4 Intermediate 2 could be as a roll or as a stack of Single sheets can be designed.

In the method according to FIG. 1, the method steps could D and E may also be interchanged in such a way that the Print products 3 initially collected flat or on top of each other be layered, and then all collected Print products 3 aligned and together along their Lines of weakness 4 to form a fold 5 be kinked.

Fig. 2 shows a further possibility of a preliminary product 2 in Processing step A in a perpendicular to Direction of conveyance T to feed direction Z. in the Processing step B becomes the intermediate 2 in Course direction Z halved and also from intermediate 2 separated so that there are two printed products 3 thereafter, with the left printed product 3 in the first Processing step C with a line of weakness 4 is provided and then conveyed in the conveying direction T. is what the second printed product 3 the Processing step C is subjected.

Fig. 3 shows a plurality of in process step C. successively provided with lines of weakness 4a, 4b Print products 3. The one that was processed first Printed product 3a has a single line of weakness or two weakening lines 4a, 4b, spaced only very slightly apart on. The print products subsequently processed 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e and 3f each have two lines of weakness 4a, 4b with increasing distance from each other. The Device used in processing step C for Example of a creasing device, its position corresponding to the weakening lines 4a, 4b to be created is adjustable.

Fig. 4 shows a side view of a clip 6 stapled printed matter 1 consisting of Printed products 3; 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, 3f with different spaced weakening lines 4a, 4b, as shown in Fig. 3 are shown. The distances of the lines of weakness 4a, 4b or the resulting distances the kinks 5 are for each printed product 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, 3f individually selected such that the Printed product 1 a straight or approximately straight, has a square-shaped back.

A label of the printed product 1 on the straight or flat back is therefore always legible, whatever especially when archiving print products is advantageous. By the arrangement described above the weakening lines 4a, 4b not only result in one flat back; at the same time there is a parallel one Alignment of the sides of the printed product 1 so that an annoying gaping of book pages and book covers is avoided. Due to the described arrangement of Lines of weakness 4a, 4b also have the advantage that for the means of connecting the printed products 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, 3f there is always enough space.

The printed products 3 could also be in place of the brackets 6 be mutually connected by other means, for example by gluing, in which, for example, in 4 according to the embodiment between the Lines of weakness 4a, 4b arranged sections of the respective printed product 3a, 3b, 3c, 3d, 3e, 3f with adhesive are provided and are held together in this way.

Under "bound printed matter" a plurality of interconnected printed products 3 understood, wherein binding or holding the printed products together 3 effected by a variety of different means can be, for example, by stapling, gluing, binding with cords etc.
