      in that the moving and fixed hinging means (24 and 34) are arranged so as to cause swivelling of the cover (CO) between an open position in which the access to the paper compartment (36) is open and a closed position in which the access to the paper compartment (36) is closed.
    2. Device according to Claim 1, characterized in that it additionally comprises a bolt (VE) hinged about an axis (X2) parallel to the hinging axis of the cover (X1), and able to interact with the cover (CO) and the fixed part (FIX) of the frame to provide locking/unlocking of the paper compartment (36) on the fixed part of the frame (FIX).

    7. Device according to Claim 3, characterized in that each tongue (50 and 52) is integral with a flexible lug (80 and 82), that is to receive a tightening/loosening force that is intended to lock/unlock the catches (54) of the tongues in their respective recesses (60).
    8. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the bolt (VE) comprises a detector (DEC) of the presence of paper strip in front of the printhead (TPH).
    9. Device according to any one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the discs of the cover each have on their edge a stop (33) that is intended to interact with the cylindrical wall (26) of the fixed frame (FIX) to distribute the forces on the whole of the said wall.
    10. Device according to Claim 5, characterized in that each recess (38) has a stop (35) that can interact with an opening (61) made in each arm to permit swivelling of the bolt and of the cover.
    11. Device according to one of the preceding claims, characterized in that the fixed part of the frame (FIX) is able to receive and house, without fixing means, component parts of a portable payment terminal (4, 6, 8, 10, MEM).
    12. Device according to Claim 11, characterized in that the keypad has a protective cap (100) with dimensions roughly matching those of the keypad (4), arranged close to the said keypad and having openings (102) of shape roughly matching that of the keys (5), the said cap (100) being hinged along an axis (X4) parallel to the plane of the keypad, between an open position in which the cap is moved away from the keypad and a position in which the protective cap covers the said keypad, the keys (5) projecting through the openings (102) made in the said cap.
    13. Device according to Claim 12, characterized in that the protective cap (100) is detachable.
