Abstract

Description

The invention relates to a method and a device for fastening an object, in particular a data carrier plate to a surface, in particular a print medium.

Under a disk drive so-called. CD-ROMs or other disks are understood that store digital data changeable or immutable; but especially so-called compact discs. Such data carriers are often inserted in magazines or books in order to provide the user with additional information that he can read or even process with a special player. However, the invention is also applicable to perfume bottles, cream samples, bound inserts, material samples and other items.

Print media are z. As books, booklets, folders, inserts or similar information carriers made of paper, foil or similar materials, in exceptional cases, the information carrier can also be unprinted.

The closure area has glue along its inner surface which cooperates with the outer surface of the one panel after being folded around a line. Before folding, the product to be wrapped in the envelope is placed on a panel between strips of glue.
After folding, the insert has a sealed, folded envelope which is closed at one side by a tab and at its ends by glued sections.
Thereafter, the insert is integrated over a binding area in a print medium.

The introduction of disk media or other objects in paper bags or pouches is very laborious and feasible in large quantities only with very complicated machines. In addition, the delivery, separation, positioning and sticking of the bags on a special page of a book or booklet makes high demands on the required machines. As a result, the distribution of data carriers in books or notebooks requires very expensive machines, which ultimately increase the cost of production and thus the price of books or booklets.

The invention is therefore an object of the invention to provide a method of the type described above to objects such. B. disk disks on a surface such. As a print medium easy and inexpensive to attach.

This object is procedurally achieved by a method according to claim 1.

In a second method step, the surface on which the article is attached may be bonded to a print medium, such as a book or booklet. The surface is placed between the pages of the book or booklet so that it is incorporated into the book or booklet during the binding process. When binding the book or booklet thus no additional means for positioning and sticking of small bags are needed, but the invention. Surface is bound in the book or notebook like a normal book page.

The mentioned method steps can be inexpensively, rapidly and in high quantities with high precision feasible with known machines. As a result, on the one hand, the number of units processed per unit time can be increased and, on the other hand, known simple machines can be used.

Preferably, the fastening means are chosen so that a sufficient attachment is achieved solely by the juxtaposition or pressing together of an object covering layer and the surface.

This allows a much simplified construction of the machines to be used.

In order to facilitate the attachment, it is advantageous in many cases if the surface has a depression in or onto which the object can be placed. This facilitates, for example, at least partially coating the object with a layer or foil.

A simple attachment z. As a disk drive on the surface is also possible through the use of an adhesive layer. Such an adhesive device is known and widely used.

The attachment is achieved in that the fastening means has a fixed to the surface of the object at least partially covering layer. Such a layer is preferably a film which on the one hand enables the connection of the data carrier plate to the surface and on the other hand increases the value appearance of the device.

A simple attachment is thereby ensures that the layer is at least partially, preferably at the point where it is attached to the surface, self-adhesive. In order to avoid a reaction between the object and the surface, it is advisable to apply an adhesive to the layer only at the outer edge where it rests on the surface.

Especially thicker objects would lead to folds in the film when attached by means of a film. Therefore, it is advantageous if the film is stretchable by heating, for example, or has a structure that allows the layer to deform when placed on the object or even to conform to the shape of the article.

A preferred embodiment of the layer provides that it has holes or is permeable to gas in order to hold with its arranged on one side of a suction element arranged on its other side object to the layer. This makes it possible to first grasp the film with a suction head and then to grasp a further object with the same suction head holding the film, in order subsequently to place it on a surface together with the film. The holes in the layer or its gas permeability thus allow gripping the layer and at least one other object. Depending on the regulation of the negative pressure, the parts can be gripped and deposited simultaneously or one after the other.

It is advantageous if the surface has a binding area. The fastener allows easy attachment z. As a disk drive and the binding area is designed so that the surface with known binding devices in a book or a booklet is einbindbar. For a stapler with saddle stitch, the binding area must be formed so that the spine can be passed through the area and the binding area must be dimensioned so as to avoid tearing of the area during conventional handling of the booklet. In the case of a glue bond, the binding area must be designed with regard to flexibility and material properties in such a way that impairment of the usual binding process is avoided.

To meet these requirements, preferably the area or at least the binding area is made of paper or cardboard. In the following an example will be described which facilitates the understanding of the invention.

This in FIG. 1 illustrated booklet 1 consists essentially of a cover 2 and bound by means of a saddle stitch pages 3, of which only three are shown in the drawing. On the part 4a of the surface 4, a data carrier plate 8 is placed, which is releasably secured to the surface 4 with a fastening means 9. In addition, a perforation 10 extending in the direction of the binding area is provided on the part 4 a of the surface 4, which makes it easier to remove the part 4 a of the surface 4 together with the data carrier plate 8 from the booklet 1.

The other side 4b of the surface 4 has a detachable by means of a perforation 11 part 12, which is formed as a postcard. FIG. 3 shows the folded booklet 1 with integrated surface 4, on which the data carrier plate 8 is attached. In the front sheet 5 of the envelope 2 a punched-13 is provided which allows a view of the disk drive 8.

The attachment of the data carrier plate 8 on the surface 4 is in FIG. 4 shown here and is easy to see how the fastener 9 engages as a clip through the hole in the disk drive 8. When applying the clamp 9, the feet 14 of the bracket 9 spread so that the data carrier plate 8 is pressed against the surface 4 with the head 15 of the bracket 9.

To insert the data carrier plate 8, the booklet 1 is first punched out of a box, a surface 4 and on this surface 4, the data carrier plate 8 placed flat. In FIG. 5 the data carrier plate 8 is attached to the surface 4 by means of an adhesive tape strip 16. The adhesive tape strip 16 is so flexible that it conforms smoothly to the data carrier plate 8 and is provided on one side with an adhesive layer, which on the one hand holds the data carrier plate 8 on the adhesive tape 16 and, on the other hand, the adhesive tape 16 on the surface 4.

In FIG. 6 the data carrier plate 8 is fastened to the surface 4 by means of two adhesive strips 17 and 18. Perforations 19 and 20 can thereby facilitate the removal of the disk drive from the surface.

In FIG. 7 the entire data carrier plate 8 is fixed to the surface 4 with a square foil 21. For this purpose, the corners 22 to 25, which look out over the disk drive 8 coated with adhesive to secure the film 21 to the surface 4. Fakulativ can also be the entire film 21 self-adhesive.

FIG. 8 shows a mounting option in which the disk drive 8 is under a circular film 26 which is glued to the surface 4 at its outer edge. This film 26 has between the adhesive region 27 and the outer edge of an inserted data carrier plate 8, a semicircular perforation 28 which can be torn open by means of a tab 29 to remove the arranged under the film 26 disk 8 from the surface 4 of the print medium. In the FIG. 9 shown shipping pocket 30 consists of a carton 31 having two parallel spaced grooves 32, 33, by means of which an upper end 34 and a lower end 35 of the carton 31 can be folded. An adhesive closure 36 attached to the edges of the carton 31 allows the ends 34 and 35 to be glued together, resulting in a wrapped envelope. In this package, a compact disc 37 is inserted, which is positioned at this location by means of an adhesive strip 38. This adhesive strip 38 prevents slippage of the compact disc 37 during packaging.

Figure 11a shows a similar packaging with a structure corresponding FIG. 10 , wherein the back of the package shown in Figure 11b has a semicircular perforation 43 and a finger hole 44, by means of which the cardboard 45 can be opened at the indicated location to remove the CD 46.

The in FIG. 12 shown print head 50 consists of an outer cylinder 51, in which an inner cylinder 52 is guided along the arrow 53 movable. As a guide, a spring 54 is shown with a guided therein lifting element 55. In the outer cylinder 51 are vacuum channels 56, 57 and in the inner cylinder 52 are vacuum channels 58, 59. This printhead 50 can be placed on a film 60 and can detect and hold the film by means of the vacuum channels 56, 57. In the film 60 holes 61, 62 are provided, which are aligned with the vacuum channels 58, 59 of the inner cylinder 52. The suction head 50 with sucked in film 60 can therefore z. B. a compact disc 63 are placed in order to suck and hold the compact disc 63 by means of a second negative pressure on the inner cylinder 52 via the vacuum channels 58, 59 and the holes 61, 62.

Figure 12b shows that by means of the outer cylinder 51, the film 60 can be pressed onto a flat surface 64, while the inner cylinder 52 is pressed against the pressure of the spring 54 from lying on the surface 64 compact disc 63 upwards.

The suction head according to the invention thus serves both as a holding device for film and compact disc and as a pressing device for pressing the preferably self-adhesive film on a surface.

Claims (5)

1. A method to removably secure an artefact, more specifically a data storage disc (8) onto a hardback print medium (1), in which

   - the artefact (8) is applied onto an even surface (4) of the print medium (1) or that the surface (4) is applied onto the artefact (8),

   - the artefact (8) is subsequently at least partly covered by a layer and

   - the layer is secured onto the even surface (4) by gluing on this surface, that the artefact thereby fixed on the even surface (4) of the print medium (1), and

   - the even surface is then bound up in a print medium via a binding area.
2. The method according to claim 1, characterized in that before covering the artefact (8), the layer (34, 35) is already secured on at least one side to the even surface (31) and that in order to removably secure the artefact the layer (34, 35) is flapped onto the surface (31).
3. The method according to claim 2, characterized in that the surface on the one hand and the layer on the other hand are configured integral with each other, that in order to removably secure the artefact, the layer (34, 35) is flapped onto the surface and that the artefact in its packaged state rests on the surface on the one hand and is covered on the other hand by the layer which is flapped onto the surface.
4. The method according to one of the claims 1 to 3, characterized in that the layer (60) is a plastic film.
5. The method according to one of the claims 1 to 4, characterized in that the surface (4) and the layer are chosen in such a manner that an adequate fastening is achieved merely by applying or pressing them onto each other.
