Die Messgrössen werden über Mittel zur Erfassung (3, 3.1) zentral und gegebenenfalls dezentral in einer Zentraleinheit (1) erfasst und werden einer Signalverarbeitung (4) zugeführt, die unter dem Einbezug intelligenter Algorithmen eine zuverlässige Entscheidungsfindung, insbesondere bei Stürzen, erlaubt. Die aufbereitete Alarminformation (116) enthält als Alarmzustand einen Diagnoseteil, der auf die Ursache des Alarms schliessen lässt und entsprechende Massnahmen zu treffen erlaubt.
