Description

The invention relates to a device for development of a dental X-ray film, which in two cover areas having a light protection cover is packaged at the on the cover surfaces on one of the packaging common Edge a tear tab is formed and the Cover surfaces at their two parallel to the edge with edges of the respective tear tab slightly are tearable together, the Device a development container with a development frame underneath an input slot, in which the dental X-ray film is to be used.

The usual dental X-ray films are common to date with a lead foil, a separating box and a surrounding one Black paper in a bag-like packaging made of plastic, light and mouth saliva-proof. The separation box is between the lead foil and the dental X-ray film is arranged around the dental X-ray film Protect against contact with the lead foil. Otherwise would create these spots on the dental X-ray film. The Black paper protects against the incidence of light.

When the exposed dental x-ray film are developed you have to put it in a darkened room remove from the packaging. Taking out for adults only 30 x 40 mm and for children even only 22 x 30 mm large dental X-ray films in the dark from the packaging Difficulties; because the packaging is complex and designed differently and not easy to because they open the film from incidence of light and from oral dampness need to protect. Furthermore, when unpacking care is taken to develop the Dental X-ray film of the loose in the packaging Lead foil, the separating box and black paper are exempt. A automatic unpacking of the dental X-ray films is with the well-known packaging because of its complex and complex different design not possible.

However, the known packaging does not only have that Disadvantage that you can only handle them cumbersome. They are also for environmental protection and reasons Conservation of resources is not optimal. Because in every package a lead foil is present, falls with everyone Unpacking a dental X-ray film such a lead foil as waste. For cost reasons, you therefore form the Lead foil is relatively thin-walled, which however has the disadvantage has that it only absorbs 20-40% of the x-rays and therefore only imperfect protection against X-rays offers. The outer packaging is usually made made of polyethylene and can therefore be just like that Lead foil not together with separation cardboard and black paper to be disposed of. Mostly, however, convenience the entire packaging with the lead foil and the polyethylene part thrown in the trash.

Be ready after unpacking the dental X-ray film Insert into the development frame of the developing device additional difficulties because of this work must also be done in the dark. Mostly the dental X-ray film clipped to the development frame at one corner. It easily happens that in the image area is bracketed so that part of the image content get lost. The subsequent development and fixing the dental X-ray film is done with the known Devices often in terms of movement and temperature the bathrooms are not optimal. This often results X-ray images of insufficient quality.

During the development of dental X-ray films in many dental practices in small, darkened and sometimes poorly ventilated rooms with awkward to handling developing devices are in the Microfilm technology easy to handle, small volume Development devices known, which with fixing developer can work. As an example of the state of the Technology is referred to DE-B-11 46 353. This Scripture shows a development box, on which lightproof a cassette is placed with the film to be developed. This film slides into one after opening the cassette Film frame and then gets into the container. Such However, developing device is for dental X-ray films not suitable, because this is possible in an x-ray flat and of course inexpensive packaging must be accommodated while the films are at the aforementioned Development device from one camera each run into the cassette. So the cassette is not one Packaging, but a component that can be used again and again.

Tear-off tabs are for transparent covers for dental X-ray films in EP-A-0 363 092.

A device for developing sheet films for the Radiation protection measurement is described in DE-B-12 26 881. In the device explained in this document a development container has a gable roof-shaped upper part, the entry slot runs on the ridge.

The invention is based on the problem of a device to develop an initially mentioned in the To create packaging contained dental X-ray film.

This object is achieved in that the developing device above that in the developing container entering slot and in alignment with this an insertion shaft in a lock body for packaging with the dental X-ray film, which is open to an insertion side that is transverse to the Level of the direction of insertion of the dental X-ray film into the Development container and perpendicular to the top of the Development container, and in which of opposite Each side has a slot for receiving each a tear tab of the packaging opens, where these two slots at the same time towards the insertion side are open.

With such a device you can use the light protection cover in daylight from the entry side into the Insert the insertion slot so that the pull tabs in opposite directions protrude from the slots. Then all you have to do is pull the two pull tabs, whereby the light protection cover is torn open and the dental X-ray film through the input slot in the development frame falls.

This device according to the invention makes the setup a dark room or a darkened room unnecessary. The loss of time that was previously caused by the transport of the packaged dental X-ray film to the dark room and by unpacking it there of the dental film, its complicated handling when developing as well as by transporting the developed dental film occurred.

The lock body is when the light protection cover is torn open reliably light-tight without being one of them complex design of the lock body is required if according to another development of the invention Lock body on the insertion side one in the closed Condition the insertion shaft and the two slots light-tight has covering flap.

The light protection cover can open upwards when torn open protrude from the insertion shaft. Then you need for the lock body a lesser height than it's length of the dental X-ray film. A particularly safe one However, light tightness results when according to another Further development of the invention of the insertion shaft that of the top of the lock body of the development container opposite side is closed.

An alternative embodiment of the device for development one initially in the aforementioned packaging packaged dental X-ray film, which is a developing container with a development framework below one Has insertion slot in which the dental X-ray film is to use the developing device two in parallel on both sides of the input slot has drivable rollers arranged relative to one another, which to connect to the tear tabs of the packaging are trained.

Such a device also no longer requires unpack the dental X-ray film in the dark and in the development container, rather the Device just like the first one with light in the usual practice rooms.

The device is particularly simple if according to another development of the invention one of the Rolling can be driven by a handwheel and both rolls each have a gear or friction wheel, which together are engaged.

The x-ray film can be put together with the development framework after its development in a water bath and a warm air chamber be placed so that it is particularly convenient is to be handled if according to another configuration the invention of the development framework by means of a snap connection easily detachable below the input slot is arranged.

The packaging shown in Figure 1 has an outer x-ray protective cover 1, which is preferably made of polypropylene and must be waterproof. Fixed with an inner one Wall surface of the X-ray protective cover 1 is connected Lead foil 2, which should be thick enough to be used for X-rays to provide effective radiation protection for the patient. Inside the x-ray protective cover 1 a dental X-ray film 3 which is covered by a light protection cover 4 is surrounded. The X-ray protective cover 1 is, for example trained on one side so that you can use it without destruction can open and close again to give you the Remove the dental X-ray film 3 with the light protection cover 4 can.

Therefore you can see a cover surface 5, behind the the dental X-ray film 3 is arranged. Seen in Figure 2 there is another one behind the dental X-ray film 3 Cover surface 6, which can be seen in Figure 3. On the cover surface 5, a tear tab 7 is formed. Like figure 3 reveals, the covering surface 6 has a corresponding one Pull tab 8 on. If you pull the pull tabs 7, 8, as can be seen in FIG. 3, apart, then you tear the cover surfaces 5, 6 apart, so that the dental X-ray film 3 from the light protection cover 4 comes free and falls down out of it.

Diese Einführseite 14 ist rechtwinklig zur Ebene des Deckels 9 ausgerichtet und befindet sich an einer Schmalseite des Eingabeschlitzes 13.FIG. 4 shows a cover 9 in perspective Development device, which is shown on a partially Development container 10 placed from above is and on which a lock body 11 is arranged is. This lock body 11 has an insertion shaft 12, which has an input slot 13 in the cover 9 flees. The insertion shaft 12 is upward, however also towards an insertion side 14 of the lock body 11 open. This insertion side 14 is perpendicular to the plane the cover 9 is aligned and is located on a Narrow side of the input slot 13.

In the insertion shaft 12 leads from opposite sides one slot 15, 16 each. Both slots 15, 16 are also open to the insertion side 14. One in figure 4 open flap 17 can about a hinge axis 18 to be pivoted so that they are closed Condition against the insertion side 14 light-tight is present.

To develop a dental X-ray film 3 one adds Light the light protection cover 4 with the dental X-ray film 3 from the insertion side 14 into the insertion shaft 12, that its two tear tabs 7, 8 in the slots 15, 16 come to rest and seen from them in Figure 2 protrude right and left. Then you close it Flap 17. Then pull on the two pull tabs 7, 8, whereby the light protection cover 4 is torn open is and the dental X-ray film 3 down through the input slot 13 to fall into the development container 10 can

FIG. 5 shows that on the underside of the cover 9 a development frame 19 by a two spring elements 20, 21 having locking connection is held. This Development framework 19 is dimensioned so that one over the Lock body 11 inserted dental X-ray film 3 to slips against the lower end of the development frame 19.

In the embodiment according to FIG Entry slot 13 in the cover 9 between two in each a cover trough 22, 23 arranged rollers 24, 25. The Roller 24 can be rotated by means of a handwheel 26. Gears 27, 28 transmit this rotary motion to the other roller 25.

If you put a dental X-ray film in the developing container 10 3 wants to develop, then you put the light protection cover 4 with the dental X-ray film 3 onto the input slot 13 and attaches the tear tabs 7, 8 to the Rollers 24, 25. Then you turn the handwheel 26, whereby the Tear tabs 7, 8 increasingly wound on the rollers 24, 25 be torn open and the light protection cover 4 is so that the dental X-ray film 3 in the interior of the Development container 10 falls. It will be vertical Grooves of a development framework included that Development frame 19 corresponds to Figure 5.
