Abstract

A digital radio communication apparatus which sets a digital radio communication circuit for radio communication of digital data between a base station and the apparatus to perform communication includes a reception unit, a decoder, an audio reproducing unit, a quality detection unit, a notification unit and a controller. The decoder decodes a signal received from the reception unit to separate the signal into audio data and control data and converts the audio data into an analog audio signal. The audio reproducing unit converts the analog audio signal from the decoder into a sound and reproduces the sound. The quality detection unit detects quality of a radio communication circuit on the basis of an output signal from the reception unit. The notification unit notifies a speaker of deterioration of the circuit quality. The controller is supplied with the detection signal from the quality detection unit and drives the notification unit to notify the speaker of deterioration of the circuit quality when the radio communication circuit is set between the base station and the apparatus for communication and the quality detection unit detects the deterioration of the circuit quality.
