Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a floor care device according to the preamble of the first claim.
In a known floor care device of this type (DE-GM 76 36 603), which is intended for carpet care, there is a fluid application device on the floor wall of the device housing facing the floor covering to be cleaned, which has a massaging device for massaging moisture in the main direction of movement of the device is arranged downstream of the carpet, a discharge device being provided behind this massaging device, through which the largest possible proportion of the liquid applied to the floor is discharged. In the main direction of movement, the fluid application device is at the foremost position, which is followed first by the massaging device and then by the discharge device. In practical operation of this floor care device, a cleaning fluid is applied to the carpet from a transverse channel of the fluid application device via a comb-shaped rubber tongue. A rigid swashplate roller of the subsequent massaging device works the introduced cleaning liquid into the carpet, while the downstream discharge device removes the free portions of this cleaning liquid mixed with dirt particles resumes. The three institutions are effective at the same time.
The invention has for its object to take measures in a floor care device according to the preamble of the first claim, by means of which an increased efficiency in dirt absorption is achieved.
This object is achieved according to the invention by the characterizing features of the first claim.
Advantageous embodiments of the invention and a method for operating this floor care device can be found in the further claims.
When constructing a floor care device according to the invention, only the fluid application device and the massaging device are initially activated. In this operating setting, the cleaning fluid required for cleaning the floor covering in question, which in addition to a carpet can also be formed by a tile covering or other smooth floors, is applied, at the same time being formed by the immediately adjacent massaging device, which is preferably designed as a brush roller for processing hard floor coverings the detergent is worked into the depth of the carpet or brushed onto the smooth floor covering. With this operating setting, part or all of the surface of the floor covering to be cleaned is first processed. The detergent can be long, z. B. act for at least one minute on the dirt particles of the floor covering and loosen them and bind to them if necessary. As a result of the resulting longer exposure time, the cleaning agent is used more effectively and therefore only needs one to be applied in a significantly reduced amount than would otherwise be required with immediate suction. Harmful drenching, especially of carpets, is avoided and a considerable part of the cleaning agent is saved. Only after the application and incorporation of the cleaning agent, only the massaging device and the discharge device are operated together in a second operation, so that in addition to mechanical processing of the flooring mixed with cleaning agent and the subsequent loosening and detachment of dirt particles, these dirt particles together with at least one large one Part of the applied cleaning fluid can be actively suctioned off. The cleaning agent is preferably applied by atomization with a liquid atomization device, for example one that extends transversely to the main direction of movement. Has wide slot nozzle or several spray nozzles arranged side by side.
The floor care device can have as an independent cleaning device with all the operating devices necessary for applying the cleaning agent, the drive of the massaging device and the discharge device, i.e. in particular it can also have a suction fan, but it can also be designed as a front device for a vacuum cleaner that at least receives the suction fan and possibly also has a supply container for the cleaning fluid. The connection between this attachment then takes place via suitable flexible line connections both for the removal of the sucked-in air, water and dirt mixture or for supplying the cleaning fluid to the spraying device and, if necessary, electrical lines for the drive motor of the massaging device.
