Description

The present invention relates to a system to remotely control the locking and unlocking doors and openings passenger compartment, in particular of a motor vehicle. The goal of such a system is to secure the locking or unlocking without the use of a mechanical key, or any device requiring intervention manual from the user. The drivers authorized each have a portable device, for example in the form of a badge, ensuring the communication with an on-board assembly when the carrier of the device approaches the vehicle.

The invention relates more precisely to such a system incorporating a recognition function forgetting a portable device inside the passenger compartment. This situation occurs when the driver leaves the garment, in whose pocket he has put away the portable device, but also when second authorized driver took place in the passenger compartment, and remains in the vehicle, or leave their clothing in the passenger compartment after the driver's exit. It is essential that the locking and unlocking system manages its situations to prevent the driver from locking inconvenient, the device remaining locked inside of the vehicle, or an untimely unlocking, the vehicle no longer offering any security against flight.

We know in the state of the art a first solution to meet this objective. The European patent EP-A-0 140 137 describes a system comprising a on-board transceiver assembly and one assembly portable transceiver. This document describes a solution to recognize the situation in which the badge was forgotten in the vehicle, consisting of measure the level of the signal received by the on-board receiver, and transmitted by the portable device. When the signal variations at within a given period of time are below a predetermined value, the system on board produces an alarm signal.

This solution is not totally satisfactory because it involves the emission of a signal by the transmitter of the portable device for a period relatively long, several seconds. It results in significant energy consumption, and involves the use of electrical energy powerful going against the pursuit of miniaturization and weight reduction. By elsewhere, such a solution is highly dependent on the stability of the emission level, and can be disturbed by variations due to reductions in supply voltage, when the batteries of the portable device are worn out.

Finally, in the event that several badges remain within the operating range, each badge must be managed sequentially, which significantly complicates the system.

We know in the state of the art a second solution described in the patent application European EP-A-0 426 114 which also consists in determining the position of a portable card-shaped device using a detector integrated into the on-board system. The position determination is not done by measurement of the level variation, but by the use of several antennas installed at different points of the vehicle, and making it possible to determine the origin of the emission, and therefore the position of the card in relation inside the vehicle.

This solution also involves the emission almost continuous signal from the transmitter portable, and therefore presents substantially the same disadvantages than the first solution.

The object of the present invention is to propose a system to detect the forgetting of on-board device without resorting to transmission extended from the portable device to reduce consumption, to avoid disturbances due to supply voltage variations. Otherwise, a system according to the invention is compatible with a portable power supply by induction.

  • un ensemble embarqué comportant un émetteur de signaux SE d'un premier type et un récepteur de signaux SP d'un second type ;
  • un dispositif portatif comportant un récepteur de signaux SE du premier type et un émetteur de signaux SP du second type ;
To this end, the system according to the invention is composed of:
  • an on-board assembly comprising a signal transmitter S E of a first type and a receiver of signals S P of a second type;
  • a portable device comprising a signal receiver S E of the first type and a signal transmitter S P of the second type;
  • the system further comprising means for detecting the forgetting of a portable device inside the passenger compartment by determining the relative position of the portable device relative to the interior of the passenger compartment. In order to meet the objectives of the invention, the means for determining the position of the portable device relative to the interior of the passenger compartment are integrated into the portable device, said means generating a signal controlling the emission by the transmitter of the device. portable signal S Poubli of the second type if the portable device inside the passenger compartment is detected.

The portable device therefore only emits, after stopping the vehicle, a signal that for a period very brief, and this mainly in the case where the portable device was left inside the passenger compartment, which is a priori a situation exceptional.

In what follows, the system is exposed in relationship with locking and unlocking a vehicle, but it is understood that the same system could be used for other applications, for example in the field of home automation or access control in protected sites.

According to a preferred embodiment, the system according to the invention comprises a plurality of individualized portable devices, each of said portable devices emitting a signal of the second type S Pi comprising an identification sequence of the on-board device considered, in the event of detection of forgotten inside the cabin. This embodiment makes it possible to identify a particular device, in the case where several conductors are each provided with a personalized device, and to temporarily deactivate the forgotten portable device, while authorizing the use of the other devices.

According to a first variant, the on-board assembly emits a first signal S E1 before the doors are locked, as well as a second signal S Ever after the doors are locked. The portable device comprises a memory circuit for recording the level M 1 of the first signal S E1 and the level M 2 of the second signal S Ever detected by the receiver, and a computer for generating a signal for activating the transmission sequence of S Poubli signals of the second type corresponding to the detection of a forgotten portable device, in the case where the difference between the two memorized levels M 1 , M 2 is less than a predetermined value ∂M.

The computer of the portable device also controls the emission of a signal S Poubli of the second type corresponding to the detection of a forgotten device in the case where the difference between the level M 2 of the second and the level M 3 of the third stored signals is less than a predetermined value ∂M '.

According to a second variant, the on-board assembly comprises means for transmitting signals, selectively by an internal antenna, placed inside the passenger compartment and whose radiation lobes are mainly confined inside the passenger compartment, by an external antenna arranged near the driver's door and whose emission lobes are mainly confined to the outside of the vehicle, and by a second external antenna (61) disposed near the door opposite to that of the driver and whose emission lobes are mainly confined outside the vehicle, the portable device emitting an S Poubli signal corresponding to the detection of the forgotten device in the event that the receiver does not detect S Eextd signals after reception of an S Ever signal of the first type corresponding to the information "Doors locked".

According to a particular embodiment of this second variant, the on-board assembly also transmits signals of the first type S E1 at the time of the actuation of the door handle, and in that the portable device transmits a signal S Poubli second type corresponding to the forgetting of the portable device when the signal S E detected at the time of receiving said actuating signal of the handle corresponds to the signal S Eint emitted by the internal antenna.

Advantageously, the on-board assembly comprises means for transmitting signals S E1ext and S E1int at the time of closing the driver's door, the signal S E1int transmitted by the interior antenna comprising a specific coding, transmission means by the internal antenna of a second series of signals corresponding to the locking of the passenger compartment, means for transmitting, after a predetermined delay, by the external antenna provided on the driver's side of a third series of signals, and means for subsequently emitting, by the external antenna provided on the side opposite that of the driver, a fourth series of signals, and in that the portable device comprises means for generating a signal S Poubli in response to the reception of the coded signals S E1int , as well as an identification signal in response to the reception of an unencrypted signal S E.

According to a preferred mode, the on-board assembly comprises means for interrupting the verification process when the on-board receiver receives an identification signal S P , in response to the emission of the signal emitted at the time of closing the door.

Figure 1 shows the block diagram of a nonlimiting exemplary embodiment of the invention.

The system consists mainly of two subassemblies, a portable device (1) in the form of badge and an on-board system (2) installed in the vehicle.

The badge (1), a term that will be used in the continuation of the description to designate the device portable, includes a power source (3), example a lithium battery. It also includes an omnidirectional antenna (4), for transmitting and reception of radio frequency signals. A circuit of reception (5) of known type is connected to a circuit microprocessor (6) capable of sampling the level of the signal detected by the receiver, and recognize the different types of signals received.

The microprocessor circuit (6) is connected to a random access memory (7) capable of storing the digital signal level information received by the receiver (5). The microprocessor circuit (6) also controls the transmitter (8).

The on-board assembly (2) also includes one or more antennas (11), housed in the passenger compartment or outside the vehicle. A transmitter (12) generates a coded signal S E for the transmission of information relating to the state of the vehicle. This information comes from a computer (13) receiving signals from different contacts detecting the open or closed state of the vehicle doors, the position of the locking means, the actions on the door handles, and in general any information. useful relating to the state of various parts of the vehicle. This information is preferably transmitted via a serial communication BUS.

The on-board assembly also includes a receiver (14) delivering signals to a computer (15) controlling the locking members, the locking member start command, audible alert systems or visuals, and possibly the motorized settings of different parts of the vehicle requiring specific adaptation to each referenced driver, for example the settings of the mirrors, the seat of the driver or steering wheel height.

Figure 2 shows the timing of signal exchanges between the badge (1) and the assembly on-board (2) in a so-called normal situation, in which the driver leaves his vehicle without forgetting his badge, and without a passenger forgetting a badge at inside the vehicle.

The detection of the badge forgotten in the vehicle after locking the doors is based on the measurement of the level of the signal S E received by the receiver at different times, before and after locking. These moments are chosen at times when the driver, normally wearing the badge, is a priori at different distances from the transmitting antenna of the on-board assembly. When the level of the signal S E measured on several consecutive messages by the computer (6) connected to the receiver (5) of the badge remains substantially constant, the badge can be considered to have remained in the passenger compartment, and it is necessary to alert in this case the driver. On the other hand, if the level measured is different, it is considered that the badge has changed position and has moved away from the passenger compartment with the driver. The locking process can then continue normally. In this first variant, the signal S E is transmitted by an indoor antenna.

  • le signal (20) représente le signal détecté sur le contact d'ouverture de la porte du conducteur ;
  • le signal (21) correspond au signal détecté sur un capteur, un micro contacteur ou un détecteur optique prévu sur la poignée de la porte du conducteur ;
  • le signal (22) représente l'enveloppe des messages codés circulant sur le BUS d'interconnexion de l'ensemble embarqué (2) avec les différents capteurs équipant le véhicule ;
  • le signal (23) représente l'enveloppe des séquences d'émission SE émises par l'émetteur de l'ensemble embarqué (2) ;
  • le signal (24) représente l'enveloppe des séquences d'émission SP émises par l'émetteur du badge (1) ;
The timing diagram shown in Figures 2 and 3 represents different electrical signals:
  • the signal (20) represents the signal detected on the driver's door opening contact;
  • the signal (21) corresponds to the signal detected on a sensor, a microswitch or an optical detector provided on the handle of the driver's door;
  • the signal (22) represents the envelope of the coded messages circulating on the interconnection BUS of the on-board assembly (2) with the various sensors fitted to the vehicle;
  • the signal (23) represents the envelope of the transmission sequences S E transmitted by the transmitter of the on-board assembly (2);
  • the signal (24) represents the envelope of the transmission sequences S P transmitted by the transmitter of the badge (1);
  • the signal (25) represents the control signals of the locking and safety members of the vehicle.

When the driver's door is opened, the signal (20) from a contactor changes state, and triggers the transmission of a coded message (30) on the BUS (22). The computer (12) of the on-board assembly (2) causes the emission of a signal S E detected by the receiver (5) of the badge (1). The badge computer (6) (1) samples the received signal and stores information M 1 in the EEPROM memory (7) corresponding to the level of the received signal. Furthermore, it triggers the emission of a coded pulse (31) S P comprising a sequence for identifying the badge considered. For this purpose, each badge includes in a random access memory or in a read-only memory a unique specific code suitable for identifying the badge, and consequently the person to whom the badge is allocated.

Upon receipt of the signal (31) by the receiver (14) of the on-board assembly (2), the computer (15) controls the locking of the start command.

A la réception de ce signal, le badge (1) émet un signal d'identification (35).When pressing the door handle of the conductor, the signal (21) coming from a micro-sensor changes state and triggers the emission of a coded message (33) on the interconnection BUS. The computer (15) in return commands the emission of a identification request signal (34). At the reception of this signal, the badge (1) emits a signal identification (35).

The reception of this identification signal (35) causes a message to be sent over the BUS coded (36) controlling the locking (37) of the doors.

When the doors are locked, the sensors detecting the lock trigger on the BUS a coded message activating the emission of a signal S E (38). This signal is detected by the badge receiver (5) (1) and its level is digitized. This level is stored in the memory (7) in the form of information M 2 .

The two levels M 1 and M 2 are then compared. In the example shown in FIG. 2, the levels M 1 and M 2 are different, and the computer (6) of the badge (1) does not command emission S p .

After a predetermined delay of approximately one second following the reception of the coded message (39) corresponding to the release of the door handle, the on-board transmitter emits a signal giving rise to the detection by the badge (1) of a level M 3 . In the example shown in FIG. 2 corresponding to a normal situation, the level M 3 is different from M 2 , and consequently the transmitter (8) of the badge (1) remains inactive.

Figure 3 shows the situation in which a badge was forgotten inside the vehicle.

Ce signal est détecté par le récepteur (14) de l'ensemble embarqué (2), et le calculateur transmet sur le BUS un message codé (51) provoquant le déverrouillage (52) et l'activation d'un signal d'alerte sonore (53).The difference between the levels M 2 and M 1 is in this case less than a predetermined threshold value, and consequently, the computer (6) of the badge (1) commands the emission of a signal S P. forgot (50 ). This signal is detected by the receiver (14) of the on-board assembly (2), and the computer transmits on the BUS a coded message (51) causing the unlocking (52) and the activation of an audible alert signal. (53).

In the case where several people have each with a personalized badge, and forget their badge in the vehicle, and the driver has left the vehicle without forgetting its badge, the on-board computer (15) deactivates the codes identifying the forgotten badges until the next unlocking operation.

Figure 4 shows a schematic view of a vehicle fitted with a system according to the second variant.

This variant has the advantage of allow instant prohibition of locking doors when the badge is forgotten inside the passenger compartment (zones 73 and 73 '), while with the detection by level variation measurement, the time of relatively large measure (on the order of a few seconds) involve a lock-unlock sequence doors if a badge is detected forgotten in the passenger compartment.

The indoor antenna emission lobes (60), the external antenna (61) placed on the side of the conductor, and the external antenna (62) placed from the opposite side are shown schematically by hatched surfaces. The external antennas (61, 62) are for example arranged in the exterior mirrors.

In the zone (71), only the signals S Eextg coming from the external antenna (61) on the driver's side are received. When the badge is in this area, the doors must be locked after the badge has been identified.

In the area (71 '), only the signals S Eextd coming from the external antenna (62) on the passenger side are received. When the badge is in this area, the doors must be locked after the badge has been identified.

In area (72), the signals received by the badge come only from the indoor antenna (60). In this case, you should trigger a signal alert, and prevent door locks if the doors are not yet locked, or, if the doors are already locked, causing the unlocking.

Zones (73) and (73 ') correspond to interior areas of the vehicle where the badge receives signals from both the antenna interior (60) and one of the exterior antennas, respectively (61), (62).

In this case, you should trigger a alert signal, and prevent locking of doors if the doors are not yet locked, or, if the doors are already locked, to cause unlocking.

Zones (74) and (74 ') correspond to areas outside the vehicle in which the badge receives signals from both the antenna interior (60) and one of the exterior antennas, respectively (61), (62). When the badge is on in this zone, you should allow locking doors after identification of the badge.

La figure 5 représente l'organigramme de la procédure de détection de badge oublié selon cette deuxième variante, mettant en oeuvre des antennes comme représenté dans la figure 4.Figure 5 shows the flowchart of the forgotten badge detection procedure according to this second variant, using antennas such as shown in figure 4.

The badge includes a receiver and a computer triggering the emission of a signal identification with a code specific to the badge considered in response to a signal from the transmitter on-board, or the emission of a signal corresponding to the situation of forgetting the badge if the signal from the on-board transmitter has a coding sequence specific, whatever the antenna excited by the on-board transmitter.

If the badge detects specific code sequences transmitted by the internal antenna (60), it responds that it is forgotten by a signal S forgetfulness.

When the door handle is pressed , the on-board transmitter transmits, via the internal antenna, an S Eint signal comprising a specific sequence as well as a coded signal S Eext via the external antennas (61, 62). If the badge is in the interior area (73), its receiver receives the signal S Eint comprising the specific sequence identifying the interior antenna (60) as well as the signal S ext of the exterior antenna (61), and the computer of the badge in return commands the emission of a signal comprising coded information corresponding to the forgetting of the badge inside the vehicle. In this case, the on-board computer prevents the doors from locking and activates an audible or visual alert signal.

In the case where the badge is in the zone (71) or (71 ') where it receives only the signal S Eext coming from one of the external antennas (61, 62), the computer controls the transmission of a signal comprising a badge identification sequence, and in response, the on-board computer controls the locking of the doors, then orders the emission of a new signal S Eint by the interior antenna (60), without specific code. If the badge responds with an identification signal, it is considered to have remained inside the vehicle and the on-board computer causes the doors to be unlocked, and an audible or visual alert to be triggered.

In the case where the badge is located in one of the zones (75), (75 '), and where the configuration of the antenna lobes (60, 61, 62) leads to the existence of such zones, the on-board computer commands the emission of an S Eextg signal without specific sequence, approximately 10 seconds after locking the doors, via the external antenna on the driver's side (62) only. If the badge responds with an identification signal, the on-board computer triggers the audible or visual alert. If the driver does not unlock the doors, the on-board computer deactivates the badge.

Otherwise, the on-board computer controls the emission of another signal S Eextd without specific sequence, via the external antenna (61) on the passenger side only.

If the badge responds with a signal the on-board computer triggers audible or visual alert. The detection procedure is finished.

The existence of a complementary sequence of identification requests 10 seconds after door locking, corresponding to the steps included in the hatched area of figure 5, ends however in some cases false detections of badge forgotten, when the driver remains near the door, the badge being in his pocket, after the door locking. These false detections, well do not call into question the system security according to this variant.

The zones (74, 74 ') are zones where the badge is rarely found. In case it is there, this would simply lead to false detection without impact on vehicle safety.

It is understood that the skilled person will be able to realize various variants without as well go beyond the scope of the invention. In particular, the nature of the signals is not limited to signals over the air. Similarly, it is possible to use various solutions to detect the relative position of the badge relative to the interior of the vehicle, or more generally from a passenger compartment, without leaving the part of the invention.
