Für viele Anwendungsfälle ist es zweckmäßig, den Verflüssiger nicht in der Rückwand des Kühl- und/oder Gefrierschrankes oder im Abstand hinter der Rückwand anzuordnen, da diese Bauweise nicht nur zu einer Verbreiterung führt, sondern zusätzlich auch eine Belüftung der Rückwand oder des mit der Rückwand verbundenen mattenförmigen Verflüssigers gewährleistet sein muß, um die erforderliche Luftzirkulation zur Abführung der Wärme von dem Verflüssiger sicherzustellen. Aus diesem Grunde werden bei Kühl- und/oder Gefrierschränken der eingangs angegebenen Art die vorzugsweise als Einbaugeräte oder Untertisch-Geräte ausgebildet sind, der Verflüssiger mit Ventilator und der Kompressor in einem Sockelteil untergebracht, auf den der Behälterteil aufgesetzt ist. Der in dem flachen, kastenförmigen Sockelteil untergebrachte Verflüssiger muß von einem Ventilator angeblasen werden, um die erforderliche Luftzirkulation zur Abführung der Wärme zu erzeugen. Bei bekannten Geräten ist der Ventilator zwar hinter einer durch eine Frontblende verkleidete Ansaugöffnung angeordnet und bläst unmittelbar den Verflüssiger an. Die verwirbelte Blasluft durchzieht dann aber den Innenraum des Sockelteils in ungeordneter Form und sucht sich ihren Weg zu der ebenfalls durch die Frontblende verkleideten Ausblasöffnung. Bei den bekannten Geräten wird damit die von dem Ventilator angesaugte Luft nicht in optimaler Weise zur Kühlung des Verflüssigers und des Kompressor sowie weiterer wärmeerzeugender Teile ausgenutzt. Die Scheiben können aus Matten aus textilem Material, eventuell mit Metall- Gitter- Einlagen bestehen. Sie sind zweckmäßigerweise leicht austauschbar gehaltert, so daß sie schnell ersetzt werden können, wenn ihre Porosität durch Verstopfen mit Staub und Schmutzteilen verringert sein sollte. Zweckmäßigerweise liegen die Ansaug- und Ausblasöffnungen auf einer Sockelseite, wobei diese verschließende Türen vorgesehen sind, an denen die Scheiben oder Matten gehaltert sind. Der Sockelteil 1 selbst besteht aus einem flachen Kasten in Rechteckform, der auf seinen Seiten und auf seiner Rückseite durch Wandungselemente oder Bretter geschlossen und zusätzlich mit einer Bodenplatte und einer Deckplatte versehen ist. In dem Sockelteil 1 ist ein U-förmig gebogener Luftkanal gehaltert. Dieser besteht aus miteinander verbundenen Kunststoff- oder Blechschalen. In dem Luftkanal 2 ist unmittelbar hinter der Filtermatte 6 ein Lüftermotor 7 mit Lüfterschraube 8 gehaltert. Die Lüfterschraube 8 ist in einem verengten Querschnitt des Luftkanals angeordnet, so daß sie mit hohem Wirkungsgrad arbeitet. Der Lüfter bläst dann den in dem unteren Zweig des Luftkanals angeordneten Verflüssiger an, der aus einem einteiligen, meanderförmig gebogenen Rohr besteht, wobei die senkrecht von oben nach unten verlaufenden Rohrabschnitte "Steg auf Lücke" stehen. In dem dargestellten Ausführungsbeispiel ist der Verflüssiger 9 derart an den Kompressor 8 angeschlossen, daß dem Lüfter 7, 8 der kälteste Teil zugewandt ist. In dem zu dem Verflüssiger parallellen Zweig des Luftkanals ist der Kompressor 10 gehaltert. Von dem Kompressor 10 führen sodann in nicht dargestellter Weise die Kältemittelleitungen zu dem Verdampfer.
