Vorrichtungen der eingangs genannten Art, auch elektrische oder pneumatische Anpreßgeräte genannt, dienen regelmäßig zur lötfreien Verbindung von Quetschverbindern mit und ohne Isolation sowie von Crimp-Verbindern. Die Vorrichtungen können auch als pneumatische Preßgeräte mit Preßköpfen ausgebildet sein, die vom Benutzer einfach gehandhabt werden können, und bei denen der Arbeitszylinder im Handgriff des Preßgerätes integriert ist. In den Preßkopf dieser Geräte kann dann z.B. eine Aderendhülse mit Kunststoffkragen eingesteckt werden, und nach Einschalten des Gerätes wird die gewünschte Verbindung hergestellt. Dieser Schalter ist über eine Leitung 44 mit einer Steuerungseinrichtung 46 elektrisch verbunden. Die Steuerungseinrichtung 46 ist mit der Magnetspule 26 über eine Leitung 48 verbunden. Claims (8)

  1. Device for producing electrically conductive connections between two or more conductive members with direct contact by means of a compressing or squeezing process, comprising a tool head (9), more especially a pressing head with two jaws (14, 16), which is driven electrically or pneumatically, for example, and is supported by a carrier or disposed in a housing (8), a switching or controlling means (46), and a switch (42) which is actuatable by a member (10) which is insertable into the tool head (9), characterised in that the switch (42), which is supported by the carrier or the housing (8), is disposed in front of the tool head (9) with respect to the direction of movement of the member (10), and in that the member (10), which is insertable into the tool head (9), has a thickened portion (12) or widened portion which can actuate the switch (42).
  2. Device according to claim 1, which is disposed in a housing, characterised in that the housing (8) is provided with an aperture (40), which is in alignment with the receiving means defined by the operative position of the jaws (14, 16)
  3. Device according to claim 1 or 2 for multicore cable ends having plastics material collars, characterised in that the switch (42) is a plate-shaped body having a slot (50) or opening, the width of the slot (50) corresponding to the maximum width of the metal sleeve, and in that the switch (42) is actuated by sleeve insulation upon pressure being exerted.
  4. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in the pressing head (9), which is detachably connectable to the housing (8), has a working cylinder which is incorporated therein and is actuatable by compressed air.
  5. Device according to one of claims 1 to 3, characterised in that the pressing head (9) is part of a pressing clamp, the displaceable jaw (16) of which co-operates with a striking pin (24).
  6. Device according to claim 5, characterised in that the striking pin (24) is coaxially disposed in a magnet coil (26) and is actuatable by the magnetic field.
  7. Device according to claim 6, characterised in that one end of the pin (24), facing the jaw (16), is provided with a head (30), whereas the other end co-operates with a return spring (34).
  8. Device according to one of claims 5 to 7, characterised in that the striking pin (24) is connected to a plurality of magnets (26, 26'), which are disposed coaxially with one another, each of said magnets being excitable and, in consequence, the force being doubled or multiplied.
