Claims (4)

  1. Method for recalibrating a machine for grinding ophthalmic lenses of the type having an adjustable stop (9) for supporting a template (8) connected to a position sensor and mounted on a jack (10, 11) controlled by an electronic device, as a function of the wear on the grinding wheel (13), in which a standard disc (20) is fixed onto one of the shafts (5, 14) whose distance apart (D) has to be checked, characterised in that the standard disc (20) is fixed onto the shaft (14) of the grinding wheel (13), coaxially with the latter, and the said distance (D) is measured by bringing the standard disc (20) into contact with a finished lens (7).
  2. Device for recalibrating a machine for grinding ophthalmic lenses of the type having an adjustable stop (9) for supporting a template (8) connected to a position sensor and mounted on a jack (10, 11) controlled by an electronic device, for compensating for the wear on the grinding wheel (13), and which comprises a standard disc (20) mounted on one of the two shafts (5, 14) whose distance apart (D) has to be measured and compensated for automatically, characterised in that the standard disc (20) is mounted on the shaft (14) of the grinding wheel (13), coaxially with the latter.
  3. Device according to Claim 2, characterised in that the standard disc (20) is mounted against the grinding wheel (13).
  4. Device according to Claim 2, characterised in that the jack (11) is connected to a microprocessor (18) having means (21) for displaying the distance (D) between the shafts of the grinding wheel (13) and lens (7), means (22) for controlling the jack (11), and suitable for compensating automatically for the difference between the value of the said distance (D) and its initial value before any wear on the grinding wheel (13).
