Description

The invention relates to a water mixing valve with at least two connections for the supply lines and a separate flow control valve.
Such a water mixing valve is known from DE-OS 36 09 771. Here, the housing of the mixing valve and the housing of the flow control valve are designed for flush-mounted installation.
Surface-mounted mixing valves (EP-OS 0 242 680) are also known, in which the mixing valve and the quantity regulating valve are arranged in a surface-mounted housing.

The invention has for its object to improve the mixing valve specified in the preamble of claim 1 and in particular to design for a versatile, relatively simple surface installation.

This object is achieved with the features specified in the characterizing part of claim 1.
With the help of the surface-mounted pipeline, the two can Housing the flow control valve on the one hand, and the water mixing valve on the other hand at any distance from each other, for example on the building wall. When installing the supply lines in the building wall, it is therefore no longer absolutely necessary to adhere to certain connection key sizes. In addition, the surface-mounted pipeline can also be used as a handle in bathrooms, etc.
Further refinements of the invention are specified in claims 2 to 8. A holding tube can expediently be arranged between the two housings and surrounds a separate cold water pipe and / or hot water pipe and / or mixed water pipe. The holding tube, which, in addition to its connecting function between the two housings, also covers the water pipes, can have an annular cross section. For example, for reasons of taste, the holding tube can also have a polygonal, oval or other shape in cross section.
When the water mixing valve is designed for a bathtub, a holder for the outlet shower and / or a soap dish can be expediently arranged on the surface-mounted pipeline.
When using the device according to the invention in the hospital area, for example, the mixing valve with the temperature control device can be installed in an area that can only be reached by nursing staff, so that improper operation or scalding can be largely avoided.

The mixing valve according to the invention can advantageously be used in shower cubicles, in which case the surface-mounted pipeline is then expediently arranged vertically on the building wall, so that it can simultaneously serve as a support rod for a hand shower. This is useful the mixing valve is located in the upper area, since the high temperature handle is not accessible for children and the risk of scalding can be largely excluded.
In a further embodiment, the mixing valve according to the invention can also be used in row showers, the mixing valve being able to be arranged outside the individual shower cubicles. The mixed water generated in the mixing valve is guided above the partition walls of the shower cubicles along the building wall, whereby a vertically arranged branch pipe is fed with mixed water by means of T-pieces and the mixed water outlet can be regulated with the shut-off valve arranged at the lower end.
Finally, the surface-mounted pipelines can be conveniently attached to the two housings by means of a snap or bayonet connection.

For the sake of simplicity, the same or corresponding elements are provided with the same reference numerals in the exemplary embodiments in the drawing. The valve device shown in FIG. 1 consists of a thermostatically controlled mixing valve 1 and a quantity regulating valve 2, the two valves being connectable to a surface-mounted pipeline 3. The mixing valve housing 11 is provided with a cold water connection 8, the volume control valve housing 21 with a hot water connection 9, with which the valve device is connected to the pipes arranged in the building wall (not shown in the drawing). A temperature setting handle 12 is also provided on the mixing valve housing 11, with which the desired mixed water temperature can be set. On the opposite side, on the volume control valve housing 21, on the other hand, an adjusting handle 22 is provided with which the amount of the mixed water emerging at a mixed water outlet 23 can be adjusted.
In this exemplary embodiment, the surface-mounted pipeline 3 consists of a holding pipe 31, in which a water pipe for hot water 323 and a water pipe for mixed water 322 are arranged.
The hot water is guided from the hot water connection 9 in a separate channel in the quantity regulating valve housing 21 into the water pipe 321 and reaches it from here into the mixing valve housing 11. The cold water enters the mixing valve housing 11 directly via the cold water connection 8. If the volume control valve 2 is now opened with the adjusting handle 22, the warm water flows through the water pipe 323 and the cold water via the cold water connection 8 into the mixing valve housing 11 and here, according to the position of the temperature adjusting handle with the help of a thermostat element, temperature-controlled mixed water generated, which is now fed back to the volume control valve housing 21 via the water pipe for mixed water 322 and exits at the mixed water outlet 23. The water pipes 323 and 322 and the holding pipe 31 can be made variable in length, as a result of which the distance between the mixing valve housing 11 and the quantity regulating valve housing 21 becomes variable. The connection of the surface-mounted pipeline 3 in each case on the end face of the housing 11, 21 can be made by means of known plug-in or bayonet connections. By using surface-length pipelines 3 of different lengths, the distance 7 between the mixing valve housing 11 and the quantity regulating valve housing 21 is thus variable. An exact connection gauge dimension therefore no longer has to be observed when installing the supply pipelines in the building wall.
FIG. 2 shows a modified mixing valve 1 according to FIG. 1, the structure and the mode of operation being identical to the exemplary embodiment described above. In this exemplary embodiment, an outlet shower 4 with a shower hose 42 is connected to the mixed water outlet 23 on the volume regulating valve housing 21. A bracket 41 is also attached to the surface-mounted pipeline 3. The holder 41 can be pushed in the direction of the arrows 33 into the desired position and then, for example, with an adjusting screw (not shown in the drawing) can be fixed in the desired position.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 3, a soap dish 5 is arranged on the surface-mounted pipeline 3 instead of the holder 41. In addition, instead of a shower hose 42, an outlet pipe 231 is provided on the quantity regulating valve housing 21.

In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 4, the valve arrangement is used in a sanitary shower. The surface-mounted pipeline 3 is arranged vertically here, the quantity regulating valve being connected in the lower region and the mixing valve in the upper region. This ensures that the temperature adjustment handle 12 cannot be reached by small children.
The surface-mounted pipeline 3 is formed by a water pipe for mixed water 322, in which a water pipe for hot water 323 is arranged coaxially. On the water pipe 322, in turn, an adjustable holder 41 is provided for the outlet shower 4, which is supplied with the mixed water by the volume control valve 2 via the shower hose 42.

Finally, a row shower installation is shown in FIG. The valve arrangement is designed so that the mixing valve 1 is located outside the row shower cubicles 6. The mixing valve housing 11 has a hot water connection 9, the cold water connection 8 being formed on a T-piece 61. A water pipe 322 for mixed water and coaxially a water pipe 321 for cold water are installed between the T-piece 61 and the mixing valve housing 11. The cold water from the cold water connection 8 is thus via the water pipe 321 in the mixing valve housing 11, while the Hot water is fed via the hot water connection 9 directly into the mixing valve housing 11 to produce mixed water, which is then returned to the T-piece 61 via the water pipe 322. In the T-piece 61, the mixed water flow is divided according to the arrows 62, a surface-mounted pipeline 3 arranged in a row shower cubicle 6 being supplied with the mixed water. At the lower end of the surface-mounted pipeline 3, the quantity regulating valve 2 is in turn arranged, with which the mixed water delivery to the outlet shower 4 can be regulated. The outlet shower 4 can also be attached to a bracket 41 which can be moved on the vertically arranged surface-mounted pipeline 3. The T-pieces 610 downstream of the T-piece 61 do not have a cold water connection. In this case, the connection area only serves to fix it on the building wall.
