Description

Storen-SonnentuchBlinds towel

The present invention relates to a blind sun towel for attachment to a hollow groove of a blind roller tube, which has a cord in the form of a profile with an approximately U-shaped cross section and a reinforced central web, the U profile being attached to at least one side of the towel that the edge of the fabric comes to rest between the side webs of the U-profile and the U-profile attached to the fabric can be inserted into the hollow groove of the blind roller tube.

From the document US-A-3 825 023 a blind sun towel on a caravan is known. The side edge part on one long side of the sun towel is provided with a hemstitch which surrounds a cord. This side edge part with the cord can be inserted into a hollow groove in a rail mounted horizontally on the caravan. The disadvantage here is that two people are required to insert the sewn-in cord. As a rule, several sheets of fabric overlap one another, these overlaps forming thickened areas in the area of the cord, which makes it difficult to insert the side edge part into the hollow groove.

From the document DE-AI-2 551 533 a device is known in which there is no longer any question of a cord but of an elongated strip with which the sun towel is connected and which can be inserted into a longitudinal recess of a winding bar.

A further improvement of the sun towel is known from the document DE-U-7 217 191, which corresponds to the preamble of claim 1. This known device is a blind sun towel for attachment to a hollow groove of a blind roller tube. The sun towel is provided with a cord in the form of a profile with an approximately U-shaped cross-section and a reinforced central web. The U-profile is attached to at least one side of the cloth so that the edge of the sun cloth comes to lie between the side webs of the U-profile and this U-profile can be inserted into the hollow groove of the blind roller tube.

If the U-profile of the cord is inserted laterally into the hollow groove of the blind roller tube, it must be tensioned and secured against undesired displacement in the longitudinal direction.

The invention aims to provide a blind sun towel with a cord in the form of a profile with a U-shaped cross section, the cord of the blind can be easily attached by the blind builder in the hollow groove of the blind roller tube without the help of a second person.

The blinds towel according to the invention is characterized by at least one screw in the U-profile of the cord, which is guided across the U-profile in such a way that after the U-profile has been drawn into the hollow groove, the screw head is accessible from the outside while the screw tip is open the central region of the cavity cross section is directed, the U-profile being clamped into the hollow groove when the screw is tightened such that it can no longer be moved in the longitudinal direction.

An embodiment of the subject matter of the invention is described below with reference to the drawing.
  • Fig. 1 shows the blind suncloth, whose U-profile is inserted into the hollow groove of the blind roller tube,
  • Fig. 2 shows on a larger scale a screw with a sleeve and extension.

The flexible profile 5, e.g. made of plastic, is sewn onto the edge of the sun cloth 7 by means of a seam 9 or two parallel seams so that the cloth edge comes to lie between the U-side webs 8 of the profile 5. The profile 5 can also be welded to the edge of the cloth.

The profile 5 has an approximately oval to circular cross-section, wherein the side webs 8 can be of equal or non-length and the reinforced central web 6 can have an approximately oval to circular cross-section. The profile 5 expediently consists of transparent plastic. The position of the cloth 7 between the U-side webs 8 can thus be seen at any time. A transparent, colorless profile 5 is also inconspicuous and can be used for all fabric colors. At least one screw 13 is guided transversely through the U-profile 5 such that, after the U-profile has been inserted into the hollow groove 1, the screw head 14 is accessible from the outside, while the screw tip 15 is directed against the central region of the hollow groove cross section. When the screw 13 is tightened, the U-profile 5 is molded into the hollow groove 1 in such a way that it can no longer be moved in the longitudinal direction. It is advantageous if the screw 13 is surrounded by a sleeve 16 with an internal thread. It is also advantageous if this sleeve 16 has an extension 17 on its inner circumference at its inner end projecting from the U-profile 5. This extension 17 prevents the sleeve 16 from being pushed backwards and finally out of the U-profile 5 when the screw 13 is tightened. Although the solution described is the best, it would be possible to provide a sleeveless screw 13 with a screw nut at its tip, which also prevents the screw 13 from being pushed backwards and finally out of the U-profile 5 when the screw is tightened.
