Abstract
The present invention relates to implementing a spelling sliding tool for enhancing the learning or reading capability of a child who lacks reading capability. The spelling sliding works in conjunction with a retractable letter sound, wherein as the child hears to the retractable letter sound, the child starts analyzing the sound and tries to learn from the sound. The spelling sliding tool comprises of a plurality of slide bars on which one or more velcro strips are provided for attaching the letters of the word. Further, to make the learning more interesting and fun, an object repeating a plurality of letters or words are slid down the tool while a plurality of letters or words are attached on the slide bar. Further, a ramp provided on the top of the slide places the tool over a flat structure, wherein the structure is parallel to the ground and above the ground level.
Description
A SPELLING SLIDING TOOL FOR ENHANCING THE LEARNING AND
READING CAPABILITY
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to implementing a tool that aids in learning and reading capability and more particularly relates to a tool used in conjunction with a retractable letter sound functionality that enhances the learning and reading capability of a child who lacks reading capability.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
A child identified with dyslexia or having weak reading capability requires an effective way to make the learning or reading easier. For example, delivering special education, a child reading light books with an adult, using computer programs, analyzing the words using retractable letter sounds are different ways of making the child learn and read easily. However, the existing ways may not be an effective learning way for some children identified with dyslexia as their capability to understand and analyze the words can be time consuming, and also the child may not find the learning ways interesting. In order to make the learning and reading activity easier and effective for such children, there is a need for a tool that provides visual assistance in conjunction with a retractable letter sound functionality that helps the child to learn and retain the words easily and quickly. Further, the mode of learning and reading capability can be enhanced by allowing the child to read and learn in an interesting and a motivating way, by using a slide/Roller coaster to analyze a word and split the word into individual sounds for spelling the sound connected with the letter.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to a spelling sliding tool used to enhance the reading and learning capability of a child who lacks reading capability, where in the tool works in conjunction with a retractable letter sound functionality and comprises of a slide connected with a plurality of slide bars that has a means to attach a plurality of letters on the slide bar. Further, a small ramp is connected at the top of the slide to place the spelling sliding tool on a flat structure that is placed vertically above the ground. Further, an object repeating a plurality of letters or words is slid to motivate the child to learn and read, while the plurality of letters are being attached on one of the slide bar.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
The following detailed description of the preferred embodiments presents a description of certain specific embodiments to assist in understanding the claims. Furthermore, in the following detailed description of the present invention, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the present invention. However, it will be evident to one of ordinary skill in the art that the present invention may be practiced without these specific details.
Referring to FIG. 1, illustrates a side view of the spelling slide used for enhancing the reading and learning capability of a child. In an embodiment, the spelling slide tool 100 consists of a slide 303 connected with a plurality of slide bars 201. The plurality of slide bars 201 and slide 303 are made up of a metal or any other material, and the slide bars 201 cover half the distance of the slide 303. Further, a small ramp 401 is provided at the top of the slide 303 that is used to place the spelling slide tool 100 on a flat structure placed above the ground. For example, the flat structure that is placed above the ground can be a table. In an embodiment, the ramp 401 allows the spelling slide tool 100 to be placed on a flat structure irrespective of the height and width of the structure.
FIG. 2 illustrates a slide bar that is provided at the sides of a slide 303. In an embodiment, the slide bars 201 are attached with one or more velcro strips 202 for sticking the letters 301 on to the slide bar 201. While the child is lacking reading capability, the child tries to catchup with the retractable letter sound and maps the letters attached to the velcro strips 202. Further, as the child tries to analyze a word after hearing to the retractable letter sound, an object 302 is made to slide through the spelling slide tool 100 while the object tries to learn and/or read plurality of letters or word for making the learning activity a more interesting and a fun activity. For example, the child hears to the word repeated by an animal “Lama” as the object Lama slides through the spelling sliding tool 100. Further the tool places the letters on the velcro strips 202 based on the analysis of the word. In an embodiment, the doll 302 can be made to slide through as many times as required by learning and / or reading the words and / or plurality of letters, and the tool continues to attach the letters 301 on the velcro strip 202 until the child correctly analyzes the word. The complete process of learning can be repeated until the child becomes familiar with the word usage and memorizes the word. In an embodiment, the child can learn and read different letters and words of different languages by using the spelling sliding tool 100.
FIG. 3 illustrates a plurality of letters 301 attached to the velcro strips 202 provided on the slide bar 201. In an embodiment, the child catches up with the retractable letter sound as the tool places the appropriate letters over the velcro strips 202. Further, to make the learning more interesting and a fun activity, a doll 302 is placed on the slide 303 that repeats the word and/or a plurality of letters, which is heard by the child. As the child hears to the doll repeating the word or a plurality of letters, the tool attaches the plurality of letters or words onto the velcro strips.
FIG. 4 illustrates an object 302 being slid from the slide 303 that repeats a plurality of letters or words 301. In an embodiment, the child tries to catch up with the retractable letter sound while one or more letters 301 are placed on the velcro strips 202. Further, the doll 302 learning the word or plurality of letters is slid through the tool 100. Sliding the doll 302 through the tool 100 by making the doll to learn and read the word or plurality of letters makes the learning activity more interesting and fun for the child. The doll 302 repeating the word or plurality of letters 301 can be slid through a number of times until the child has learnt the word and has retained the learning. In an embodiment, the object 302 being slid can be a picture, an image, or any visually appealing structure that can slide and repeat a word or plurality of letters for the child to easily learn and memorize the word usage. In another embodiment, the object 302 being slid can be a letter card that portrays a combination of letter and images.
