Das auf diese Weise erreichte Vakuum kann also nie von langer Dauer sein, so daß es in kurzen Intervallen jeweils durch Nenansetzen der Saugpumpe immer wieder neugeschaffen werden müßte. Dieser Umstand schließt natürlich die praktische Verwendung aus. Hierdurch wird erreicht, daß sich das Vakuum bei jedem Schritt neu bildet, wenn durch irgendwelche Umstände eine Verschlechterung oder Aufhebung desselben eintreten sollte, wobei das zusätzlich angeordnete Überdruckventil die Regelung für das jeweils benötigte Vakuum vornimmt. Es ist das besondere Merkmal der Erfindung, daß durch das in der Wandung der Gliedhülse angeordnete Überdruckventil in Verbidung mit der durch die Gehbewegung in Tätigkeit versetzten Saugpumpe das zum dauernden Haften der Prothese benötigte Vakuum erzeugt bzw. geregelt wird. Diese Kombination des erfindungsgemäßen Vakuumbeines verbürgt ein sicheres Arbeiten desselben und stellt daher auf diesem Gebiete eine wesentliche Bereicherung gegenüber dem bis her Bekannten dar. Es würde deshalb beim Rückgang des Faltenbalgs, also bei Wiederherstellung des ursprünglichen Volumens, eine Kompression bintreten, weil ja eine kleine Luftmenge zusätzlich während des Expandierens eingedrungen ist. Dieser beschriebene Vorgang wird sich natürlich wiederholen einmal mit mehr, einmal mit weniger starker Überdruckentwicklung. Die Folge davon ist. daß die Neubildung eines Vakuums beeinträchtigt, mitunter sogar ganz verhindert wird. Um nun diese für die einwandfreie Wirkung bestehende Gefahr zu verhüten, ist gemäß der Erfindung in die Wandung der Gliedhülse das Überdruckventil 14 eingebaut, welches sich öffnet, sobald ein Überdruck eintritt. In Fig. 1 ist die Anordnung dieses Ventils 14 ersichtlich.
