Bei Antrieben mittels biegsamer Welle für elektrisch angetriebene Apparate, wie solche insbesondere im Friseurgewerbe benutzt werden, z.B. Haarschneidemaschinen, haben sich zwei Konstruktionen eingeführt, die eine mit sogenannter Äskulapwelle, die andere mit sogenannter Juwel-Universalwelle. Das Kupplungszwischenstück 9, das an seinen Enden entsprechend den Anschlußenden der Welle 8 des anzutreibenden Apparates und der biegsamen Welle ausgebildet ist, ist in einer Büchse 2 drehbar gelagert, die mit einem Wulst 5 auf den am Apparat abgeordneten Schlauchanschluß 1 für die biegsame Welle aufgeschoben und daran festgelegt wird, was durch die Feder 4 bewirkt wird, die über den Wulst5 schnappt; dabei wird gleichzeitig das Zwischenstück 9 mit der Welle 8 gekuppelt, indem die Nase 6 des Zwischenstückes in die Ausnehmung 7 der Welle 8 eintritt.
