Das Auronatriumthiosulfat wurde bisher in der Weise dargestellt, daß verdünnte Goldchloridlösung zu einer Natriumthiosulfatlösung gegeben und die farblose Mischung mit Alkohol versetzt wurde. Die Alkoholfällung wurde zur Abscheidung des gebildeten Auronatriumthiosulfates hierauf mehrmals aus konzentrierter wäßriger Lösung wiederholt, bis eine völlige Trennung des entstandenen Auronatriumthiosulfates von Beimengungen erzielt war. (Vgl. hierzu: Annales de chimie -et de physique 13, 397, [I845] Journal of the American Chemical Society 2a, I09, [190o]; Schmidt, Lehrbuch der Pharmazeutischen Chemie 1145, [19071a Dieses Verfahren hat den Nachteil, daß nicht allein größere Substanzverluste wegen der annähernd gleichen Füllbarkeit aller Bestandteile aus der wäßrigen Reaktionsmischung durch Alkohol unvermeidlich sind, sondern es treten bei der Verwendung des zur Zeit noch dazu sehr kostspieligen Alkohols durch fast immer in ihm enthaltenen Aldehyd leicht Oxydationen des Auronatriumthiosulfates auf unter Bildung von sehr lästigem Schwefelgold, so daß die Darstellung eines ganz reinen Produktes äußerst schwierig ist.Presentation of aurosodium thio result. Wird nun die Lösung weitereingeengt, so scheidet sich alsbald fast das gesamte gebildete Auronatriumthiosulfat in feinen weißen Nadeln ab. Es wird abgesaugt, abgepreßt und getrocknet. Der Goldgehalt des Präparates beträgt etwa 37 Prozent.Example.
