Neben der direkten Programmierung der kennzeichnenden Symbole kann es in einer zweiten Ausgestaltung vorgesehen sein, die Symbole aller überhaupt existierender Ausstattungsmerkmale im genannten Speicher des Videotextdecoders 5 abzulegen und die jeweils nötige Auswahl mittels Codeworten vorzunehmen. Die Codeworte werden in einem zum Mikrocomputer 10 gehörenden Speicher abgelegt. Der Mikrocomputer 10 steuert dann mittels der in seinem Speicher abgelegten Codeworte die Erzeugung der die Ausstattungsmerkmale kennzeichnenden Symbole im Zeichengenerator des Videotextdecoders 5.
