Aus der in Fig. 1 dargestellten ebenflächigen Wabenplatte 1, beispiels weise ein Zuschnitt aus einem handelsüblichen Mattenprodukt aus mit Phe nolharz getränktem Wachspapier in hexagonaler Form der Wabenzellen, soll gemäß Fig. 3 vor dem Aushärten durch Biegeumformen mittels einer Form vorrichtung 2 ein gewölbtflächiger Formkörper gefertigt werden, ohne daß es zu Beschädigungen der Wabenstruktur kommen kann. Dazu wird gemäß Fig. 1 zunächst die Wabenplatte 1 auf einer gleichfalls ebenflächigen Stütz platte 3 positioniert, welche gemäß Fig. 3 zu einem der Formfläche 2.1 der Formvorrichtung 2 entsprechenden Profil biegbar ist. Beispielsweise kommt als Stützplatte 3 ein dünnes Aluminiumblech in Betracht, etwa von 0,8 mm Dicke bei einer Wabenplattendicke ab 10 mm. Zur Positionierungs hilfe kann gemäß Fig. 2 die Wabenplatte 1 an ihren Rändern durch (vor zugsweise elastomere) Anschlagleisten 4 gegen Verschieben gesichert wer den. Hiernach wird gemäß Fig. 2 die Wabenplatte 1 auf der Stützplatte 3 fixiert, wozu zunächst mittels einer luftdichten Vakuumfolie 5 (z. B. Polyurethan- oder Silikonfolie) über der Stützplatte 3 ein luft dichter Raum um die Wabenplatte 1 gebildet wird. Dazu kann die Vakuumfo lie 5 mit der Stützplatte 3 durch ein (nicht dargestelltes) übliches beidseitig klebendes Dichtband verbunden werden, das die spätere Tren nung derselben erleichtert.
