Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a hearing aid an amplifier circuit, which is a limiter circuit for Clipping of amplitude peaks above a limiter threshold le in the transmission range of the hearing aid.
In a hearing aid of the type mentioned at the outset limit circuit for clipping amplitude peaks in the over wearing area of the hearing aid prevent the incompatible threshold of an ear of a hearing aid user sound signals emitted by a receiver of the hearing aid is taken. An adaptation to the frequency response of Unver inertia threshold is not possible because the limits threshold is the same for all frequencies (more horizontal Course). Such hearing aids regularly have an indi vidually adapted to the hearing threshold of the hearing aid user Frequency response. High frequencies are preferred raised and / or lowered frequencies. The adaptation the level of discomfort of the hearing aid user by a limiter circuit only in the context of the horizontal The course of the limiter threshold allows. The frequency response however, the discomfort threshold is not horizontal and often deviates from the frequency response of the hearing threshold. A (ge particular) adjustability of the frequency response of the limiter would therefore be desirable.
The signal processing can be done in a gain, Compression, limitation or consist of tone screens. With a The tone screen can only be set to the frequency response of the hearing aid be effective. The frequency response of a limiter circuit and / or their effect on the frequency response of the hearing aid is there with cannot be influenced.
From DE 37 34 946 A1 it is known for a hearing aid one of several frequency-dependent means in egg nem negative feedback path of an amplifier stage of the hearing aid to arrange. This creates a phone call more subtle sound. There is no limitation.
The invention has for its object a hearing aid type mentioned with a limiter circuit with adjust to create a clear frequency response, its effect on the frequency hearing aid in the linear range (the limiter scarf tion) can be compensated.
This object is achieved by the in claim 1 mentioned features solved. According to the invention is the limit zerschaltung (clip circuit) at least a first frequency dependent agent upstream and at least one second frequency-dependent agent connected downstream. The the two frequency-dependent means are so matched other tuned (adjustable) that the frequency dependent Effect of the second mean of the frequency-dependent effect of the counteracts the first means. As a result, through this Combination of a limiter circuit with frequency-dependent effective means the frequency-dependent effect of the limiter circuit below the limiter threshold can be compensated (left near area). A taken from this combination of circuits Menes signal therefore points below the limiter threshold the same frequency response as one at the input of this Circuit entered signal, but is above the Be limit threshold the frequency response of the limiter through the second frequency-dependent means determined. It is it is particularly advantageous that the second frequency-dependent effective means behind the limiter circuit adjustable is that the frequency response of the limiter circuit in the Hearing aid as far as possible to the frequency response of the discomfort threshold of the hearing aid wearer is approachable. Thereby can according to the invention act with frequency-dependent Combined limiters (as a complete circuit) average all input signals frequency-dependent (above the limiter threshold) limit to a predeterminable level. By the delimiter the first upstream frequency-dependent means becomes the original Frequency response in the linear range restored.
It is particularly advantageous if the frequency dependence (the frequency response) of the first and second means by one in particular, common setting member is adjustable. Thereby the setting of the frequency-dependent effect of the Limiter considerably simplified.

In Fig. 1 a hearing aid 1 is shown symbolically, the microphone 2 converts recorded sound signals into electrical signals and feeds them to a preamplifier 3 . The preamplifier 3 can have filters and / or coupling means for generating a desired frequency response. A preamplifier 5 is connected to the preamplifier 3 after a gain setting element 4 and has a limiter circuit 6 for clipping amplitude peaks in the transmission range of the hearing device 1 . The limiter circuit 6 is arranged - based on the electrical effect - between a first frequency-dependent (frequency-selective) means 7 and a second frequency-dependent (frequency-selective) means 8 . The two frequency-selective means 7 and 8 are designed such that the frequency-selective effect of the second means 8 counteracts the frequency-selective effect of the first means 7 . The means 7 and 8 acting in a frequency-selective manner can be combined with amplifier circuits, to which a receiver 9 of the hearing device 1 is connected after an output stage (not shown in FIG. 1).
The hearing aid shown in FIG. 2 has a hearing aid circuit which contains the microphone 2 and the preamplifier 3 on the input side. On the output side, the preamplifier 3 is coupled to the gain setting element 4 via a capacitor 10 and a resistor 11 . The gain setting element 4 is connected at its variable tap via a capacitor 12 and an input connection P 8 to the first frequency-dependent means 7 . The frequency-dependent means 7 together with the frequency-dependent means 8 and a voltage regulating circuit 13 form part of an integrated circuit 14 , which is offered by the Gennum company under the type designation LF 580. The two frequency-selective means 7 and 8 are formed in this integrated circuit 14 as high-pass filters with a slope of 12 dB per octave. The cutoff frequency of these two filters can be changed via a connection P 3 of the integrated circuit with a common setting element 15 .
The high-pass filter 7 is coupled via a connection P 7 , a capacitor 16 and a resistor 17 to an input 18 of an amplifier stage 19 . The input 18 is connected to the output 21 of the amplifier stage 19 via a negative feedback resistor 20 . The limiter circuit 6 is arranged in negative feedback between the input 18 and the output 21 of the amplifier stage 19 and is formed from two Z diodes 22 and 23 connected in anti-parallel. The output signal of the amplifier stage 19 is coupled via a capacitor 24 and a resistor 25 to the input 26 of an amplifier stage 27 . The input P 6 of the high-pass filter 8 is connected to the output 28 of the amplifier stage 27 via a capacitive voltage divider, formed from capacitors 29 and 30 . The output P 5 of the high-pass filter 8 is connected via a capacitor 31 and a resistor 32 to the input 26 of the amplifier stage 27 . The filter 8 is consequently connected according to the invention as a frequency-selective negative feedback. As a result, the high-pass filter 8 in conjunction with the amplifier stage 27 counteracts the high-pass filter 7 in terms of frequency.
In the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2, the frequency-dependent negative feedback through the high-pass filter 8 is limited by a bypass resistor 33 , which acts on the amplifier stage 27 in a frequency-independent negative feedback manner. The frequency-dependent effect of the high-pass filter 7 is also limited by a bypass circuit which comprises a capacitor 34 and a resistor 35 which is connected to the input 18 of the amplifier stage 19 . Depending on the application of the limiter circuit according to the invention, the two bypasses described can also be dispensed with.
The exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 2 shows an embodiment of the invention that can be implemented with little circuit complexity. The post-amplifier shown in FIG. 3 and containing the limiter circuit can have an additional output stage 36 , to which the receiver 9 connects.
