Abstract

A cleaning compsn. contains (a) 10-40 wt.% of a refined gasoline with b.pt. 130-220 deg.C and Abel-Pensky flash point above 21 deg.C, (b) 10-30% of benzyl alcohol, (c) 10-65% of an aliphatic ester of formula R-COOR' (I), and (d) 1-15% of an emulsifier. R = H or 1-4C alkyl; R' - 1-8C alkyl. The compsn. pref. contains 20-50% of turpentine oil, or 20-45% of acetone or a ketone of formula R"-CO-R"'.; acetone is added only in absence of turpentine oil. R", R"' = Me or Et. In (I), R = Et; R' = Et, (iso)propyl, or n-, tert.-or iso-butyl. USE/ADVANTAGE - The compsn. is used to remove oily or fatty residues, coatings, lubricants or their residues and breakdown prods., esp. from solid surfaces (claimed). It also removes dyes and tar, and can be used to clean Au, Ag and Pt. The liq. is non-toxic and has no effect on health or the environment.

  • a) 10 bis 40 Gew.-% eines raffinierten Benzins mit einem Kochpunkt (Kp) zwischen 130°C und 220°C und einem nach Abel-Pensky ermittelten Flammpunkt (Fp) über 21°C;
  • b) 10 bis 30 Gew.-% Benzylalkohol,
  • c) 10 bis 65 Gew.-% wenigstens eines aliphatischen Esters der allgemeinen Formel I R-COOR′ (I),wobei R die Bedeutung von -H oder Alkyl mit 1 bis 4 C-Atomen und R′ die Bedeutung von Alkyl mit 1 bis 8 C-Atomen hat;
  • d) 1 bis 15 Gew.-% wenigstens eines Emulgators.
