Der Flügelrahmen besteht im wesentlichen aus dem aus Kunststoffprofilen hergestellten Rahmen 1 und der Isolierglasscheibe 2. Die Distanzstege 12 sind im Querschnitt spitzwinklig ausgebildet und liegen mit der Spitze an der Isolierglasscheibe 2 dicht an. In die von Wandung 11, Scheibenfläche 13 und Distanzsteg 12 beidseitig der Isolierglasscheibe gebildeten Nuten 14 befindet sich ein Dichtklebemittel 15, das den Flügelrahmen 1 mit der Isolierglasscheibe 2 zu einer unlösbaren Einheit verbindet. Am freien Ende jeder Wandung 11 ist eine an der Scheibenfläche 13 anliegende, weiche Dichtlippe 16 angeordnet, welche die Nut 14 abschließt. Zur Haftverbesserung des Dichtklebemittels 15 an der Wandung 11 der Glashaltenut 10 ist diese mit einer in Längsrichtung der Nut 14 verlaufenden Riffelung 17 versehen. Auf der dem Grund 18 der Glashaltenut gegenüberliegenden Profilwandung 1 9 des FlügelrJahmens 1 ist eine Profilnut 20 mit einer Hinterschneidung 24 angeordnet zur Aufnahme von Beschlagteilen. Ferner werden im Bereich der Dekorfolie 25 die Gehrungsflächen mit einer Ausnehmung versehen, deren Breite gleich der halben Stärke des beim Stumpfschweißen verbrauchten Materials entspricht, so daß in diesem Bereich keine Verschweißung stattfindet. Sodann werden die Holme 22, 23 in die in einer gemeinsamen Ebene angeordneten Spannvorrichtungen 30, 31 so eingesetzt, daß der Flügelüberschlag 21 der Grundplatte 27 benachbart ist. Die einander gegenüberliegenden Spannvorrichtungen 30 schieben in einem Arbeitsgang die beiden Holme 22 über den Rand der Isolierglasscheibe 2 auf. Anschließend werden vier beheizte, die Isolierglasscheibe 2 teilweise übergreifende, abgesetzte Schweißspiegel senkrecht zur Scheibenfläche 13 zwischen die Gehrungsflächen der Holme 22, 23 eingeführt und an die Gehrungsflächen 28 der Holme 22 angesetzt.
