Energieabsorbierendes LaminatEnergy absorbing laminate
The invention relates to an energy-absorbing laminate, i.e. a laminate that has a mechanical Able to dampen vibration energy. It also relates to plate-shaped objects, in particular ski boardsJ ter that include such a laminate.
Energieabsorbierende Laminate bzw. Energy-absorbing laminates or skis containing such laminates are disclosed in US Pat. No. 4,278,726 or DE-OS 29 41 436 known. The laminates described therein include at least one layer of a rigid material, e.g. a plate or a lath, which on at least one its flat sides and at least over part of its surface is provided with an elastomer layer in which twisted fiber bundles are embedded. In the case of a ski described in the aforementioned DE-OS, these are fiber bundles oriented within the elastomer layer in the longitudinal direction of the ski board. The elastomer strip reinforced in this way is located near the upper and / or lower surface of the ski core layer made of stiff material. By the The introduction of the elastomer strip creates vibrations that are generated in the ski boards during skiing that the latter are pushed over uneven surfaces at a comparatively high speed, sufficient: damped, which improves the maneuverability of the ski and considerably reduces the fluttering of the ski tips will.
The longitudinal orientation of the fiber bundles within the elastomer layer has the disadvantage, however, that the torsional strength of the ski decreases along its longitudinal axis.
The invention is based on the object of torsional strength of a laminate that is part of a plate-shaped Object is without impairment of the damping properties to increase.
This object is achieved by a laminate with the features of claim 1.
The lattice structure is preferably applied to the top and / or bottom of the layer of rigid material, e.g. the core layer of a ski attached and connected to the latter. It can extend over the entire surface of this layer or extend over part of the same. However, it can also be advantageous and sufficient, lattice structures only in limited areas of the ski surface, e.g. near the tip of the ski, under the ski bindings and in the area of the To attach ski ends instead of letting them run the full length of the ski.
The term "plate-shaped object" includes 2 «B, a plate, a lath, a profile part or one of them built-up spatial structure such as a housing, a bracket or a framework. The twisted fiber bundles can Multi-filament yarns made of plastic with high tensile strength, such as polyaramids made of glass fiber. However, you can also consist of steel wire strands or steel threads.
In the following the invention will be explained in more detail with reference to the drawings. The energy-absorbing laminate shown in FIG. 1 in the form of a slat 1 forms the core layer of a ski made of rigid polyurethane foam (as it is known, for example, under the brand name Baydur from Bayer). The lath shown has a width of 75 mm and a thickness of 11.6 mm. Its surface is provided with a rubber layer 2 , in which there are twisted fiber bundles of steel wires 3. The layer 2 forms a lattice structure which is made up of two rows of parallel vulcanized rubber strips 4 and 5, which intersect at an angle oi of 90 °.
Bei einer zweiten Ausführungsform wird in einer Baydur-Latte mit denselben Abmessungen eine Gitterstruktur angebracht, deren Streifenbreite 15 mm beträgt, wobei dieThe strips 4 and 5 are in the area of their contact surfaces 6 connected to each other by vulcanization. They have a width of 10 mm and a thickness of 0.8 mm and each comprise eight steel threads 3 running in the longitudinal direction of the strip with a standard construction of 4 × 0.175 · the spacing a between two consecutive concurrent strips is 30 mm. The width b of the lattice structure is 55 mm. The lattice structure has a weight of 53 g / m. The laminate is produced as follows: First, the lattice structure is placed in a mold with suitable dimensions. The Baydur mixture to be foamed is then placed in the mold, which is then closed. When frothing the result is a lath with a porous core and a dense skin in which the lattice structure is embedded. the foamed structure is cured for about 8 minutes at 60 ° C. In a second embodiment, in a Baydur lath with the same dimensions attached a lattice structure, the strip width of which is 15 mm, the

Der Abstand a beträgt 23 mm. Das Gewicht der Gitterstruktur beträgt 80 g/m.individual strips each include twelve steel threads (4 0.175). The strips 4 and 5 cross again at an angle oc of 90 °. The distance a is 23 mm. The weight of the lattice structure is 80 g / m.
In a third variant, a lattice structure according to FIG. 2 is used. The strips 4 and 5 cross again at an angle oC of 90 °. The strip width is 10 mm. The distance a is half as large as in the example according to FIG. 1. The number of common contact surfaces is twice as large as in the example according to FIG. 1. This lattice structure accordingly weighs 106 g / m. The strips 4 and 5 each have an angle of 45 ° to the longitudinal axis of the slat.
For the comparison tests described below were Furthermore, three laminate variants of the type described above are produced, the lattice structures, which are identical in design, in both the upper and lower surfaces of the Baydur lath own (see the cross-sectional drawing XI-II of Fig. 2). Finally, similar variants of the laminate were produced with the same dimensions, the Lattice structure through a vulcanized rubber layer with a width of 55 mm, a thickness of 0.8 ram and a weight of 113 g / m was replaced. In this rubber layer there were 44 longitudinal steel threads (4 χ 0.175) embedded. One of the two variants had such a gourami layer in one of its surfaces, while the other on both sides with a steel thread reinforced rubber layer was provided.
Gemessen wurde die Winkelauslenkung Q-rad* Aus den Meßwerten wurde dann nach folgender FormelThe eight slats produced in this way were subjected to a torsion test with one end being clamped and a torsional moment M of 4.9 Nm was applied at a distance of 35 cm from this end. The angular deflection was measured Q-rad * The following formula was used from the measured values

The measurement results clearly show that the torsional strength by equipping the stiff lath with the lattice structure is increased considerably according to the invention. It is also shown that the use of one or two Rubber layers with longitudinal reinforcement (experiments 8 and 9) the torsional strength not only does not increase but decreases, in spite of the weight of these layers on the coated surface unit of the lath is larger than that of the grid structures. It is advisable, the width of strips 4 and 5 between 20% and 120 $ des Distance a (Fig. 1) to choose between successive concurrent strips.
Aus diesem Schwingungsbild wurde dann das logarithmische Dekrement d der Dämpfung gemäß der FormelA number of comparative damping tests were also carried out, with steel thread reinforced on the one hand Solid rubber layers and on the other hand lattice structures according to the invention were attached to an aluminum plate. The aluminum plate was clamped at one end and had a cantilevered length of 300 mm, a thickness of 0.8 mm and a width of 55 mm. The free end was elastically deflected by a force perpendicular to the plate surface and then released, so that this end of the plate returned to its rest position in a damped oscillation. In The vibration was recorded at a distance of 200 mm from the clamping point; the course of the decaying Vibration was shown on an oscilloscope. This oscillation pattern then became the logarithmic decrement d is the damping according to the formula

This experiment was repeated on the same plate, the central zone of which was provided on one side with a rubber layer 35 mm wide and 0.8 mm thick, in which 28 steel threads in the direction perpendicular to the

The following table shows the values d:

From this table it can be seen that the damping capacity of the lattice structure (53 g / m) is significantly lower is than that of a longitudinally reinforced elastomer layer, but considerably higher than that of an uncovered layer stiff plate. Therefore, the dimensions of the lattice structure have to be adapted in order to achieve the best possible combination to achieve between damping capacity and increased torsional strength. For certain areas of application, such as for skis, it will also be necessary to keep the weight of the grid structure to be applied as low as possible keep. The use of grid structures (instead of longitudinally reinforced rubber layers) offers the additional benefit for skis Advantage that the rigidity is not increased too much. By the way, it's not just the torsional strength but also increases the torsional damping.
Es sind ferner zwei Streifen 7 vorgesehen, die in derjenigen Richtung innerhalb des Lami-Fig. 3 shows a lattice structure which forms a good compromise in terms of damping and increased torsional strength and has a low weight. This lattice structure comprises two strips U and 5, which extend at an angle ex. cross at 90 °. There are also two strips 7 provided in that direction within the lami-

For a ski, the strips 7 are accordingly in Run lengthways of the ski board. The strips 4 and 5, which each form an angle with the longitudinal axis of the ski board of 45 ° increase torsional strength as well the torsional damping is considerable.
Fig. 4 zeigt eine Ansicht eines Skis 8. In the central zone of the ski 8, for example, a lattice structure 2 with a length of 30 cm to 50 cm can be embedded in the underside of its core 1 be, which has three rows of strips 4, 5 and 7 (Fig. 5). The longitudinal strips 7 improve the longitudinal damping, while strips 4 and 5 improve torsional strength and torsional damping. It can also be on top and Different damping structures can be attached to the underside. E.g. on the top of the ski core layer a Be attached lattice structure according to Fig. 1, which extends over part or over the entire length of the ski, while in the underside a longitudinally reinforced rubber layer is arranged to improve the damping. It depends on the structure and application of the laminate where the Lattice structure should be attached, which dimensional ratios and crossing angles are optimal and whether a Combination with other damping measures or layers to increase the torsional strength is desirable.
Es ist auch möglich, den Winkel oc innerhalb derselben Gitterstruktur 9 bzw, 10 von einem Endbereich zu dem anderen allmählich zu ändernDamping strips and / or lattice structures 9, 10 to increase the torsional strength can also be attached in the vicinity of the tip or the rear end of the ski, as can be seen from FIG. 4. The angle α between the rows of strips 4 and 5 and the ratio of the width of the strips to the spacing of the strips a can be adapted to the position of the lattice structure in the ski. It is also possible to gradually change the angle oc within the same lattice structure 9 or 10 from one end region to the other

At the same time, the strip width and spacing a can vary, whereby a very specific and optimal damping and strength behavior which is adapted to the structure of the ski can be achieved. The ski 8 also includes the usual reinforcement layers 11 which enclose the core structure 1 in the manner shown in FIG Top has a surface covering 12, while the The underside has a sliding coating 13 which connects with its longitudinal edges against steel edges 14.
