Wood wind instruments e.g. Oboe, Flute, Sazaphone etc. are provided with a keyboard for electromagnetic signal operation. The sensors are arranged in a matrix format, for activation by left and right hands and are sized to permit operation by a child. The layout is particularly suited to any pianist who wishes to become familiar with a wind instrument. The switching back-up stages are of the COS/MOS type.
