Abstract

The luminescent screen of the colour cathode-ray tube is coated with different phosphor parts, emitting in the red, blue and green shades. A colour filter material is allocated to two emission phospor parts, i.e. to the red and blue phosphor shades, while the green one remains without any filtering material. The filtering material may be applied as separate layers between the phospor parts and the tube face plate, or can be admixed to the phosphor particles.
