Abstract

The spectacle frame is made of two parts (1 & 2) in which both frame loops (A & B) are cut on their periphery to facilitate fitting of the lenses. At the cut-off positions there are projections provided which protrude outwards. They serve for holding the hinges of the spectacle ear supports. The hinges can comprise an orthodox spindle or a ball joint. Frames one and two can be also 'S'-shaped; one section being similar to the other. The two parts are joined together at point (9) by means of a jigsaw type locking fixture, which comprises a projection on the one side and a corresponding hollow on the other.
