In ihrer Sperrlage befinden sich die magnetischen Zuhaltungen in zueinander fluchtenden Ausnehmungen von Zylinderkern und Schloßgehäuse in solchen Positionen, daß sie Zylinderkern und Gehäuse übergreifen und damit eine Blockierung des Zylinderkerns bewirken. Nach Einführung eines passenden Schlüssels erfahren die magnetischen Zuhaltungen aufgrund eines abstoßenden oder anziehenden Effekts der Schlüsselmagnete eiine solche Lageänderung, daß durch ihr völliges Hineinwandern in die Gehäuse- bzw. Zylinderkernausnehmungen die Trennlinie zwischen Zylinderkern und Gehäuse freigegeben ist und der Zylinderkern gedreht werden kann. Magnetisch/mechanisch arbeitender, mittels Flachschlüssel betätigbarer Schließzylinder, wobei auf der einen Schlüsselschmalseite die Kerben (mechanisches Schlüsselgeheimnis) zur Betätigung der (mechanischen) Zuhaltungen und auf der gegenüberliegenden Schlüsselschmalseite das magnetische Schlüsselgeheimnis in Form von Permanentmagneten angeordnet sind, dadurch gekennzeichnet, daß sich, dem Rücken des in Schloßnullstellung eingeführten Flachschlüssels (20) benachbart, im Schloß eine Abfrageeinrichtung in Gestalt eines unbeweglichen Lesegeräts (21) befindet, und daß im oder am Schloß ein vorprogrammiertes Speicher- sowie ein Steuergerät (eine Auswerteinrichtung) vorgesehen sind, wobei letzteres bei Übereinstimmen von Schlüsselgeheimnis und Vorprogrammierung ein Freigabesignal zum Lösen einer Sperre abgibt1.
