Description
The present invention relates to a bag, in particular a pocket for a respiratory therapy device, for example a flow generator or a ventilator for treating sleep-disordered breathing. Such respiratory therapy devices are used in particular in the field of positive respiratory pressure therapy. These include, for example, continuous positive airway pressure (CPAP) as well as bi-level therapy and treatment in obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and other respiratory disorders and diseases.
Such respiratory disorders and diseases as sleep-disordered breathing (SDB) are known and various therapies for treating such sleep disorders have been developed. Also, various devices are known in the art for treating respiratory disorders and assisting a ventilator. These include invasive and non-invasive systems. In the non-invasive systems, a breathing gas is usually provided under pressure through a respiratory or respiratory therapy device. The respiratory gas is conducted by the device via a tube to a patient interface, such as a respiratory mask covering the mouth and / or nose, and communicating with the patient's airways.
Such therapies are given for many hours and even up to 24 hours a day. Many patients need to use the respiratory therapy continuously or as continuously as possible to allow the device to communicate with the patient's airway almost permanently. Other patients rely on permanent respiratory support. Here, the need for respiratory therapy represents a limitation of the patient, especially with regard to his mobility.
To transport the respiratory therapy systems, it is known to provide pockets into which the device can be packaged. Such bags usually consist of an outer shell made of stronger fabric, which is padded by a thin, soft foam layer. It is known to provide such pockets with a belt for hanging. The transport options and especially the handling possibilities of such known bags are severely limited.
It is an object of the present invention to improve the mobility of respiratory therapy dependent patients and, in particular, to facilitate improved mobile use of respiratory therapy systems.
These and other objects are (are) achieved by the features of the independent claims, the features of the dependent claims representing preferred embodiments of the present invention.
