Abstract

A variable height screwjack for use as a workpiece support is equipped with a cradle comprising a rectangular frame pivoted at its midpoint and attached to the top of the threaded lifting column (5). The cradle houses a pair of parallel rollers (1) which provide support for e.g. a bar during machining at its opposite end. The frame is able to tilt 10 to 15 degree from the horizontal and a spirit level (3) is set in the frame side so that on roller contact with the bar any deviation from the horizontal can be corrected by height adjustment of the screwjack. Height is controlled by the handwheel (6) and its not (not shown) within the guide to be (7) which also prevents rotation of the column (5) via a key and axial keyway (not shown).

      Eine vorteilhafte Ausgestaltung der Erfindung wird anhand der Zeichnungen erläutert.
    • 2.3 In den Zeichnungen ist die Justierhilfe als Dreibein mit Führungsrohr, mit Handrad und Gewindespindel zur Höhenverstellung, sowie der in einem Drehpunkt gelagerten Justierbockauflage dargestellt.
    • 2.4 Die Justierbockauflage besteht aus einem Rahmen, in dem zwei handelsübliche Metallrollen seitlich mit Maschinenschrauben parallel zueinanderbefestigt sind. Die Justierhilfe (Wasserwaage) ist seitlich am Rahmen parallel zu den beiden Rollen starr angebracht. Die Justierbockauflage ist an der Spindel 10°-15° pendelbar befestigt. Durch auflegen des Werkstückes auf die Justierhilfe und auf den Maschinentisch kann an der Meßeinrichtung die Lage des Werkstückes abgelesen werden. Bei nicht waagerechter Ausrichtung des Werkstückes erfolgt diese durch Absenken bzw. Anheben der Justierbockauflage mittels Höhenverstellung durch drehen des Handrades.
