Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an arrangement for charging batteries for a cordless Telephone, with the features of the preamble according to claim 1.
For the energy supply of the handsets of cordless telephones in the Usually used batteries that are charged while the handset is in the associated base station of the cordless telephone. The for the charge of the Batteries commonly used for charging contacts are in various ways disadvantageous, for example, if the contacts are dirty, a safer Charging process can no longer be guaranteed. Other problems arise elaborate constructive measures to achieve a sufficient Aufpreßdrucks for the charging contacts are necessary and measures to ensure protection against accidental contact.
A cordless telephone is from the German utility model G 93 08 120 U1 known in which these problems are avoided by the fact that a contactless The batteries are charged. There is a transmitter in the base station and one in the handset Receivers for electromagnetic waves are available, which are used to charge the Batteries required energy can be transferred.
However, it is not clear from the known prior art how such a cordless phone can be realized with little effort that pre-existing parts of the cordless phone for contactless charging can also be used.
The object of the present invention is an arrangement for contactless charging to indicate batteries contained in a cordless telephone handset, that can be implemented with little effort.
According to the invention, this object is achieved by the features of claim 1.
The advantage of the invention is that a cordless phone with contactless Charging the batteries can be realized with little effort, and that at placed on the handset no disturbing elevations can be seen on the base part.
Further advantages result from the dependent claims and the following description with reference to figures. In the figures are for Simplification of understanding only specified components that are in the In connection with the present invention are important.
Es zeigtIt shows
Fig. 1 ein Blockschaltbild eines erfindungsgemäßen schnurlosen Telefons und Fig. 1 is a block diagram of a cordless telephone according to the invention and
Fig. 2 shows the structure of a handset and an associated base part of a cordless telephone according to the invention.
The cordless telephone according to the invention has, in accordance with the exemplary embodiment according to FIG. 1, a mobile part 1 and a base part 2 .
The base part 2 is connected to a telephone network 3 and a power supply network 4 . The base part 2 has a unit 24 for processing the telephone signals and a power supply unit 28 . A coil 22 , which is applied to a core 23 made of magnetically conductive material, is supplied with voltage by the power supply unit 28 . Both the unit 24 and the power supply 28 are known per se.
The mobile part 1 contains a coil 15 which is applied to a core 14 made of magnetically conductive material. The outputs of the coil 15 are connected to a battery 12 , which can contain one or more battery cells.
If the handset 1 is placed on the handset as shown, the core 23 and coil 22 form the primary side of a transformer, while the core 14 and coil 15 form the secondary side. If an alternating current supplied by the power supply 28 flows through the coil 22 , energy is transmitted through the core 23 and is coupled into the core 14 . An AC voltage is generated in the coil 15 . This AC voltage is from a battery contained in 12 - converted rectifier to charge the battery 12 - not shown.
Instead of the described inductive transmission of energy, a capacitive transmission.
In another embodiment, the base part 2 also has a control unit 26 , which can be formed by a microcomputer, and a switching unit 27 . The switching unit 27 is controlled by the control unit 26 and serves to interrupt the charging current from the power supply unit 28 when the control unit 27 determines that the handset 1 is lifted off the base part 2 . This can be brought about by evaluating the voltage or the current to or through the coil 22 by means of the control unit 27 , since the values of current or voltage through the coil 22 change abruptly due to the changed magnetic flux when the handset 1 is lifted. Another possibility is the evaluation of the signals originating from the telephone network 3 by the unit 24. For example, the charging current, controlled by the control unit 26 , can be interrupted by the switching unit 27 if an alarm signal is detected by the unit 24 .
Spannungsänderungen - die Verbindung zwischen Akku 12 und Spule 15.A control unit 11 , which can be formed, for example, by a microcomputer, and a switching unit 13 can also be present in the mobile part. Interrupt control unit 11 and switching unit 13 - e.g. B. as described above when current or voltage changes occur - the connection between the battery 12 and coil 15 .
The switching off of the charging current described above, especially the switching off in the base part 2 , is of particular importance in a further embodiment in which the core 23 is used both for the antenna winding 21 and for the coil 22 , since the charging current through the coil 22 could lead to interference with the radio connection between handset 1 and base part 2 .
To further avoid interference, a further switching unit 25 is therefore provided, which, controlled by the control unit 26 , only connects the coil 21 of the antenna to the device 24 for processing the telephone signals, which also contains components for the radio signal processing, when the Control unit 26 was found that the handset is lifted.
A particularly advantageous embodiment results if, as shown in FIG. 2, the base part 2 has a holder 20 which contains both components of the charging device 22 and 23 and the antenna 21 , the charging device and antenna being able to use the core 23 together. Since the energy to be transferred for charging the rechargeable battery 12 is not very large, ferrite material which is also suitable for the antenna can be used for the core 23 . The mobile part 1 , which has a counterpart 10 corresponding to the holder 20 , in which components 14 and 15 of the charging device are arranged, is placed with the counterpart 10 on the holder 20 and thus fixed on the base part 2 , thereby ensuring secure charging. This embodiment also has the advantage that, when the handset is on the hook, there are no disturbing elevations on the base part - in particular no antenna. In order to make it easier to place the mobile part 1 on the base part 2 , the holder 20 and counterpart 10 can have a conical shape, for example, as shown in FIG. 1.
For the data transmission required between base part 2 and handset 1 when the handset 1 is in the intended position of the base part 2 (e.g. setting the channel on which the radio connection between the base part and handset is to be established or signal to end the charging process additional units such as IR transmitters and receivers can be provided by control unit 11 or 26 and switching unit 13 or 27 , for example if an alarm signal is present or the battery 12 has been charged). Another possibility is the use of modulated signals that are added to the charging circuit in base part 2 or in handset 1 and their demodulation in handset 1 or base part 2 . Modulation and demodulation can be carried out, for example, by the control units 11 and 26 .
In addition to the described embodiments, various variations are possible, for example the power supply 28 can be dispensed with if the power supply network 4 is connected directly to the coil 22 . Other configurations of the cores 14 and 23 and of the holder 20 and counterpart 10 are also possible at any time.
