Description
Beschreibungdescription
The invention relates to an electronic coin validator with which it is possible to check coins with different metal alloys to distinguish from each other. Sin produced according to the previous, known process Coin validators for vending machines can only be made to measure and weight, as well as according to the magnetic behavior of the coin. Differentiating between magnetic and non-magnetic coins is, as is known, with the help of a permanent magnet, which in the coin channel wall of the coin validator is built in. In order to prevent the increasingly frequent occurrence of machine fraud, it is no longer sufficient just to measure, weight and magnetic behavior. A variety of foreign, as well as older domestic coins are after Measure, weight and magnetic behavior are so exactly the same as our currently valid domestic coins that a distinction is not possible under the previous procedures.
Dabei wird zwischen Spule 2 und eine echte Münze gebracht,während zwischen Spule 2 und 1 dieFunctional description of the electronic coin validator: If a coin is placed between two coils, their coupling is influenced. As can be seen from drawing I. an induction field is generated in one coil with the aid of a generator, which creates an induction voltage in the second coil is to be measured due to the coupling of the two coils. Depending on the metal and alloy of the coin in between the induced voltage in the second coil is now weakened to a greater or lesser extent and thus offers a possibility differentiate between different coins according to their damping behavior. If the coils are now arranged according to drawing II, there is the possibility of two coins directly A real coin is placed between reel 2 and, while between reel 2 and 1 the

The coils, 1 and 3 are connected so that the voltage of the two The sign of the coils is different, so if the induced voltage of coil 1 is equal to the induced voltage of coil 3, If the sum of both voltages is zero, the following amplifier receives the induced voltages if the two voltages are equal from coil 1 and 3 no alternating voltage at its input. With such an arrangement it is not only possible at any time, to use one and the same coin validator for different coins by simply inserting into the cut-out between coil 2 and a corresponding coin is placed as a reference piece, but does it result from it? stable electrical states when the ambient temperature or the supply voltage changes of the generator as well as amplifier. As soon as the coin between coil 1 and 2 has a different damping than the coin between Coil 2 and 3 is the induced voltage from Coil not the same size as that of coil 3 »which is why at the amplifier input an alternating voltage with the magnitude of the difference between the two voltages occurs. The alternating voltage amplified in the amplifier is rectified and switches when the differential voltage at the input of the amplifier is large enough, a relay which actuates a switch via a mechanical arrangement. With this switch, the checked coin is passed into the channel for correct coins if the two coins are the same. if the coins are not the same, it is directed into the channel for money return.
If the generator and the amplifier are built with transistors, the arrangement is not only very small, but Many thousands of test procedures can be carried out with a conventional flashlight battery The coin validator is switched on and off via a contact by the inserted coin.
Gewerbliche Anwendungsmöglichkeiten:Commercial applications:
The main area of application is the installation in vending machines which are operated by inserting coins.
Such an arrangement can also be used fully automatically in the field of coin sorting at financial institutions A major advantage here is that

auch Falschgeld, welches durch eine Siehtprobe nicht zu erkennen ist, ausgeschieden wird.also counterfeit money, which cannot be recognized by a visual test is, is eliminated.
The characteristics for the essential port step: With this type of examination of the coins it is possible to distinguish between coins and which ones are different in shape, size and weight, as well as in magnetic behavior In order to make the distinction possible it is only It is necessary that the alloys of the coins differ from one another. Such a differentiation is possible with the previous, known Test methods not possible. E.g.: The Czech 5 kroner coin is derived from the 1 DM coin clearly distinguished with the electronic coin validator.
