Bekannt sind Radvorleger mit einer Halteschale, welche längs einer mit den Seitenwänden des Radvorlegers fest verbundenen Haltestange gleitend gelagert sind. Dabei stehen mit den Seitenwänden des Radvorlegers Zapfen in Verbindung, welche in der Haltestellung in Bohrungen von Einrastschienen eingreifen. Die Einrastschienen sind leistenförmig ausgebildet, was in mancherlei Beziehung nachteilig ist. Einmal ist eine derartige Einrastschiene so gut wie gar nicht seitensteif. Auch muß die Standfestigkeit als außerordentlich gering angesehen werden. Überdies sind zahlreiche Schweißnähte auszuführen, was sich auf die Fertigungskosten überaus nachteilig auswirkt.
